Middleford Speedway Awards Banquet January 8, 2005
Seaford, De. Middleford Speedway will hold its 2004 awards banquet at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, De. On January 8th 2005. Receiving Point money and Trophy’s will be all of the weekly divisions. The Delaware Auto Exchange 600cc class, The Delaware Tire Center 270cc class and the Bi-Rite Auto Sales 250 Jr.class will see the top ten point finishers receiving money, Plus the top five in each division will be on stage to except trophies. Also collecting cash awards and trophies will be the Middletown NAPA 390 Sportsman, Duron Paint Slingshots and the Modified Lites.

Tracy Fritter Wins Middleford Mod-Lite Nationals
Seaford, De. Zanesville Ohio driver Tracy Fritter won the third annual National Open for Modified Lites Friday night November 5th. The 25-lap feature was a regional TUSA point race this year and 26 cars signed up for competition. The initial start was the big story of the night. Just as the feature was green flagged sixth place starter Erik McKinney slammed the front-stretch wall, with the car erupting in flames. McKinney escaped unhurt and the track safety crew quickly extinguishing the fire. Just as race was re-started a wild crash occurred on the backstretch, which saw two cars taking hard flips. Richard Rexrode flipped end over end taking out the corner safety light and landed hanging on the chain link fence. Brandon Dennis also took a series of flips. Both drivers were uninjured. When racing resumed Tracy fritter rode the high side to get the lead. Steve white was challenging fritter for the lead and on lap three got the top spot. White held the lead until lap nine when he spun in turn one, collecting Herb Tunis. Fritter lead the remaining sixteen laps despite several more cautions for the big win. Track regular Ryan Walls finished second with Apollo, Pa racer Brian Woodall third. Laurel, De driver Landis Musser finished fourth and Mike Hay from Somerset, Pa rounding out the top five.

Heverin, Buckwalter, Mullins, Oswald and Locuson National Open Winners
Seaford, De. A smooth racing surface and a jam-packed pit area was the story Saturday night for the second annual Middleford Speedway National Open.
The Clark’s Pools, Stallard Chassis 600cc feature saw Glenn Heverin Lead all 30 laps for the $1000.00 Victory. Rick Stief chassed Heverin the entire distance but had to settle for second. Erik Brobst and Scott Smith traded third and fourth the last ten laps with Smith securing the spot with three laps to go. Mike Carber got by Brobst at the end to finish fourth, with Brobst finishing fifth. 51 cars signed up trying for one of the 24 starting spots. Erik McKinney won the 5-lap dash to earn the pole.
Ross Robinson and Steve Buckwalter made up the front row of the Delaware Tire Center, RTS Chassis 30-lap 270cc Feature. Buckwalter took the lead at the drop of the green and was never seriously challenged for the $1000.00 victory. Robinson stayed close until lap fourteen when he lost a motor on the backstretch. Ross Perchek came from the middle of the pack to finish second. Braydon Winters, Pete Skias and Ryan Chism rounded out the top five. 38 cars signed up for competition. Ross Robinson won the 5-lap dash to earn the pole.
The 250 stock feature went to Carl Locuson. Locuson lead start to finish for the victory. Clayton Glassman, Bill Rose, Jessica Lindmeier and Ed Gobbo were second thru fifth.
“Racin” Randy Oswald wired the field in the 125cc feature. A J Michael chased Oswald the entire way but came up 5 car lengths short. Russell Pannepacker, Mike Rutherford and Ryan Wozunk completed the top five.
Andrew Mullins made a clean sweep for the weekend winning the Bi-Rite Auto Sales 250 Jr. Feature race. Cameron Merriman and Bruce Hibbs Jr. Challenged Mullins early but it was not to be as Mullins drove away at the end. Merriman
Ended up second, with Jace Wilkerson finishing third. Josh Rohlman and Mike Baker rounding out the top five.

Sapp, Esham and Mullins Wingless Winners
Nick Sapp (600), Matt Esham (270) and Andrew Mullins (250Jr) where winners in the first annual wingless program Friday night at Middleford Speedway. Esham lead the 13-car field to the green in the Delaware Tire Center 270cc feature and drove away to a 3 second win. Eddie Wagner, Bo Gordon, Brian Morrill, Clayton Glassman rounded out the top five.
Andrew Mullins won his second straight feature in the Bi-Rite auto sales 250 Jr. class. Mullins led all 20 laps despite heavy pressure from Jessica Lindmeier. Kyle Lloyd made a late race charge to finish second. Third thru fifth were Bill Rose, Jessica Lindmeier and Cameron Merriman.
The Delaware Auto Exchange 600cc feature saw Nick Sapp lead the 18-car field to the green. Nationally ranked mod-lite driver Erik McKinney challenged Sapp the entire twenty laps, including a last lap charge only to come up a car length short. 2004-point champ Chad Clark was third. Justin Jones and Andrew Waygard completed the top five. Mark Miller barrel rolled his car two times on lap eight. The car landed on its wheels with no damage and he drove off!!
Jaron Faison strapped on a wing and creamed the field in the Mod-Lite run-watcha-brung show. Faison was also chosen the First State Chimney Sweep best appearing car award. Richard Wilson Jr. Lloyd Adkins and Billy Tatman were second thru forth.

Smith, Cammock, Mullins Win Sonny Brittingham Memorial
Genie Smith (600) Jimmy Cammock (270) and Andrew Mullins (250Jr) collected wins in the first annual Sonny Brittingham Memorial race Friday night at Middleford Speedway. Jimmy Cammock led all twenty laps for his sixth win of the year in the 270cc feature. Trey Collins finished second for his best finish of the year. Ryan Chism, Nick Schlaugh and Snookie Vent Jr. Rounded out the top five. Snookie Vent Jr. in the Warren Construction 0 won the 2004-point championship.
Andrew Mullins won the Bi-Rite Auto sales 250 Jr. feature. Dave brown lead the first 17 laps before losing an engine. Mullins held off Brett Sutton for the last three laps to get his second win of the year. Dave Brown won 11 features in route to the 250Jr. point title. Third thru fifth were Bruce Hibbs, Dave Brown and Jessica Lindmeier.
Jeremy Lynch Lead the first 8 laps of the 600cc feature before fuel problems sidelined him for the evening. Smith inherrtied the lead on the restart and lead the remaining 17 laps for his second win of the year. Nick Sapp came from mid pack to claim second place. Chad Clark nursed an ill handling car home in third place, with Chris Niebert and Brian Robbins completing the top five. With his third place finish Chad Clark and the Clarks pools team won 2004-point championship. Other point titles went to Jim Marshall in the Mod-Lites. Tyler Reed in the slingshots. Bob Wambold in the 390 Sportsman and Richard Wilson Jr. in the 600 mod-lite. Friday night Oct. 8th will be a wingless show for the micro-sprints and run watcha brung for the slingshots and the mod-lites. Sonny Brittingham’s son Tom Brittingham presented trophies to all the feature winners. Also honored was the Mullins family for the loss of Gene Mullins and Warfield family for the loss of Calvin Warfield.

Smith, Vent and Brown Repeat winners at Middleford Speedway
Seaford De. Scottie Smith drove the Stallard house car #20 to his eleventh win of the year in the Delaware Auto Exchange 600 cc feature. Smith led all 25 laps despite heavy pressure from Nick Sapp and a late race charge from Genie Smith. The three cars raced tooth and nail throughout the race as they dodged thru lap traffic. Smith’s margin of victory was .425 second at the checkered flag. Genie Smith crossed the line in second place for the third straight week. Nick Sapp, Jeremy Lynch and Chad Clark completed out the top five. Nick Sapp set a new track record in the second heat with an 11.496 lap.
The Delaware Tire Center feature saw Snookie Vent Jr. take the lead at the drop of the green. Ryan Chism pressured Vent the entire race but had to settle for second place. For Vent it was his sixth win of the year. Trey Collins, Matt Esham and Jimmy Cammock were third thru fifth.
Dave Brown took win number eleven in the Bi-Rite Auto Sales 250 Jr. feature. David Gingrich held off Brown’s challenges for 12 laps until brown took the lead with a low move going in to turn one. Brown just has to start the feature next week to become the point champion. Gingrich got a well-deserved second place finish. Bruce Hibbs, Kyle Lloyd and Josh Rohlman rounded out the top five.
Friday Night October 1st will be the Sonny Brittingham memorial race. This will be the last point show of the year and will be a double point show. Coming up on October 8th will find the 600cc; 270cc and the 250 Jr. classes run wingless. The Slingshot class and the Mod-Lite class will have a Run-Watcha-Brung show. Open rules and wings allowed.

Sammons, Robinson and Brown Beat Mother Nature
Seaford, DE. Davey Sammons (600) pulled of a clean sweep Friday night at Middleford Speedway. Ross Robinson (270) and Dave Brown (250 Jr.) also found victory lane. Sammons lead all 25 laps of the Delaware Auto Exchange 600 feature holding off the late race challenges of Genie Smith and Chris Niebert for the win. Sammons raced to a heat race win for the sweep. Smith held off Niebert for second place. Niebert closed the point gap in the chase for the championship by finishing third. Jeremy came from the rear twice to finish fourth with Chad Clark finishing fifth.
Ross Robinson driving the Russ Palmer Builders / Grotto pizza #7 finally got his first victory of the year in the Delaware Tire center 270cc class. Robinson has been fast all year only to have problems snatch the victory. Leading 18 of the 20 laps Ross The Boss cruised to a .754 margin of victory. Snookie vent Jr. Jimmy Cammock, Chuck Palmucci, and Bryant Davis rounded out the top five.
Dave Brown increased his point lead with win number ten in the Bi-Rite auto sales 250 Jr. feature. Rich Kuiken Jr. got his second straight runner up finish. Andrew Mullins, Kyle Lloyd and Bruce Hibbs Jr, completed the top five.

Seaford, De. The third annual Middle ford Speedway National Open will take place on October 22&23 2004. Friday night Oct. 22 will be a regular show for the 600cc, 270cc, 250 Jr., Slingshots, Mod-Lit& Jr. and 390 sportsman. The normal sign-up fee and payoff will be in effect. The top four feature finishers in the 600cc and 270cc class will be locked in to Saturday’s dash. Motor rules for the 600cc class will be 636cc maximum, and 270cc maximum for that class. Gates will open at 5pm with warm-ups starting at 7pm.
Saturday night Oct. 23 will see the 600cc class and the 270cc class race 30 laps for $1000.00 to win. All heat winners will join Friday nights top four in a five-lap dash to establish the top eight starting spots. Heat race finishes will fill the remainder of the field. Registration fee is $50.00. Sponsorship for the 600cc class will come from All Phase General contracting, Clarks Pools, and Stallard Chassis. Sponsors for the 270cc class will be RTS Chassis, and Delaware Tire Center. Also joining the program Saturday night will be 250cc stock, 250 Jr. and 125cc classes. There will be no slingshots, Mod-Lites or 390 sportsman in competition. Clark, Cammock and Brown Score wins
Chad Clark scored win number four for the year Friday night at Middleford Speedway. Jimmy Cammock (270) and Dave Brown (250Jr.) collected wins in their respective divisions. Chad Clark wired the field in a start to finish drive in the Delaware Auto Exchange 600cc feature. Last weeks winner Genie Smith battled his way to a second place finish. Chris Niebert, Kenny Vincent and Joey Startt rounding out the top five.
The Delaware Tire Center 270cc feature saw Ryan Chism dominate the race until lap 17 when his motor stuck coming off the second turn two. Jimmy Cammock inherited the lead and went on to collect win number five for the year. Current point leader Snookie Vent Jr. finished second with Trey Collins, Ross Robinson, and Matt Esham completing the top five.
Dave Brown won feature number nine in the Bi-Rite Auto Sales 250 Jr. Class. Brown led all 20 laps despite early challenges from Cameron Merriman. Rich Kuiken Jr. came from the back of the pack to score an impressive second place finish. Jessica Lindmeier finished third, with Cameron Merriman and fourth and Andrew Mullins fifth. The 250cc Jr. Class had the second largest car count for the evening.
Three point shows remain on the Speedway schedule. The final point show will be October 1st with the first running of the Sonny Brittingham Memorial race. It will be a double point show for all our regular divisions. October 8th will be a non-wing show for Micro-Sprints and a Run Watcha-Brung show for Mod-lites and Slingshots. October 22&23 will be the Middleford Speedway National open with the 600cc class and the 270cc class paying $1000.00 to win on Saturday night the 23rd.

Sapp, Vent and Brown Middleford Winners
Third generation driver Nick Sapp scored win number two for the season Friday night at Middleford Speedway. Sapp lead all 25laps of the Delaware Auto Exchange feature race. Last weeks winner Genie Smith challenged Sapp on several restarts but had to settle for second place at the checkered flag. Former track champ Angelo Mercado returned to racing action and finished third. Jeremy Lynch was finished fourth with Chad Clark fifth.
Snookie Vent Jr. Lead start to finish in the Delaware Tire Center 270cc feature race. Ross Robinson pressured Vent mid-way through the event but it was not to be as vent raced to his fifth win of the season. Robinson, Angelo Mercado, Jimmy Cammock and Trey Collins completed the top five.
Josh Rohlman won the Bi-Rite Auto Sales 250 Jr. feature race. Dave Brown finished second as these two drivers battle for the point championship, which is less than 60 markers. Kyle Lloyd came from the back of the pack to finish third. Rich Kuiken Jr. and Jessica Lindmeier rounded out the top five. Rookie Racer Bill Rose Took a hard end over end flip at the start of the feature. He is very stiff and sore but suffered no injuries.
Jim Marshall got out his mid-season slump to win the Mod-Lite feature. Dick Talley finished second, with Dale Hawkins third. Brandon Dennis and Stuart All finish up the top five. The 600cc finish was as follows Richard Wilson, Jaron Faison, and Aaron Bada

Smith, Schlaugh and Brown Survival Winners
Seaford, De. Survival of the fittest was the theme Friday night at Middleford Speedway. Race fans were treated to big car counts, which resulted in some hard crashes and lots of cautions. Dave brown Lead wire to wire in the Bi-Rite Auto Sales 250 Jr. class. Marydel, De racer Cameron Merriman challenged brown in the early stages of the feature but motor problems dropped him from competition on lap 11. Jessica Lindmeier continues to be impressive with a second place finish. Second place point man Josh Rohlman came home in third, with Rich Kuiken Jr. and Kyle Lloyd completing the top five.
The Delaware Tire Center 270cc class saw Jimmy Cammock take the early lead followed closely by Ross Robinson. On Lap five the top two-tangled coming out of turn four resulting in Robinson flipping the Grotto Pizza #7 high in the air. The wreck also collected the third and fourth place cars of Snookie Vent Jr. and Ryan Chism. Robinson and Vent were through for the evening while Cammock and Chism rejoined the field at the rear. There were no injuries in the reported. When the feature restarted Nick Schlaugh was the new leader and despite several more restarts Schlaugh drove the S&S Tire Service #38s to his third victory of the year. Matt Esham was back in action after taking a week off to get married and came home in second place. Austin Hubbard brought the HabNab Trucking 1* home in third. Jimmy Cammock came from the rear to finish fourth. Ryan Greylick rounded out the top five.
Genie Smith brought the 24-car field to the green flag in the Delaware Auto Exchange 600 feature. Smith lead the entire 25 laps despite numerous cautions and holding his front wing on by hand the last two laps. After several top five finishes this was the first win of the year for the 51-year-old Milford De. Driver. Nick Sapp continues to score top three finishes coming home in second. 9-time feature Scottie Smith finished third, with Chad Clark fourth and Jeremy Lynch fifth.
Ryan Walls won the Mod-Lite feature. Richard RexRode, Kevin McKinney, Jamie Zack and Dick Talley completed the top five. Jaron Faison won the 600 portion if the Mod-Lite feature.
The Duron Paints slingshot race went to Hunter Elliott.
Justin Whitaker won the 390 Sportsman feature.

Special equipment has been brought in and as weather permits every effort will be made to produce a smooth track surface. Chism, Mullins, Marsh 1st Time winners
Seaford, De. Three first time winners was the story of the night Friday July 9th at Middleford Speedway. The Delaware Tire Center 270cc class was the first feature of the night. Ross Robinson took the lead at the drop of the green and lead till a lap four caution. On the restart third place starter Ryan Chism took the low grove off of turn two for the lead. Despite several cautions Chism pulled away for his first ever win in his Schrock Painting, W.T. Wilson Construction Renco #77. Ross Robinson finished second with point leader Snookie Vent Jr. third. Jimmy Cammock Jr. and Bryant Davis rounding out the top five. The Bi-Rite Auto Sales 250 jr. feature saw Andrew Mullins take the lead at the start and power to his first ever victory. Point leader Dave Brown finished second. Brent Sutton got his first top five finishing third with Kyle Lloyd fourth and David Gingrich fifth. The Duron Paints slingshot feature was next on the track with Tyler Reed taking the 38 special to the early lead. Frank Marsh had the Hab-Nab trucking car #1* on the move and took the lead on lap four. Yours truly lead the rest of the way for my first ever win. Reed finished second with Mathew Hawkins third, Tim Trimble fourth and Courtney Hawkins fifth. The Middletown NAPA 390 sportsman class was back in full force but when it was over the dominator Bob Wambold was back in victory lane. Steve Soranson challenged Wambold throughout the race but had to settle for second. Jim Lewis finished third with an all new body and number. Jeff Keller and Justin Whitaker rounded out the top five. The Mod-Lite class put on a very competitive show with current point leader Jim Marshall and Andy Best driving the Faison 01 racing wheel to wheel the first half of the race. Best spun on lap 10 to avoid contact with Marshall handing the victory to the former track champ. Best was charging through the pack but a flat front left ended his night. Seasoned veteran Jimmy Foard was a close second with Newcomer Dick Talley third. Another new driver Richard Rexrode was fourth and HG German fifth. The more things change the more they stay the same. For the last 4 out 5 races the top two have been the same. Scottie Smith cruised to his 7th victory of the year with Chad Clark second. A first lap tangle between Clark and point leader Angelo Mercado sent Clark to the rear and Mercado to the pits with front-end damage. Clark worked his way through the field passing Nick Sapp for second on lap 16. Smith took the victory with Clark second Nick Sapp finished third for his third straight top five. Jeremy Lynch continues his assault on the point lead with another top five, finishing fourth. Chris Niebert drove the Kaser Construction 00 to a top five finish. Friday night July 2nd is the Delaware Tire Center Twin 15 lap features for 270cc Micro-Sprints and 600cc Micro-sprints. This is two 15 lap features for the 270cc and two 15 lap features for the 600cc classes. These features pay $150.00 to win each feature. We will start the first feature according to the heat race finishes. The second features will be inverted TBA at the drivers meeting.The winner of the first 270cc and the 600cc feature has the opertunity to start last in the "All Phase Genereal Contracting Back Row Challange" second feature and if he or she can win will recieve an extra $100.00 All our regular divisions will be in compitition. This is a non-point show for all regular divisions.
