Don't Forget To Get Your Banquet Tickets
Don’t forget to get your tickets for the banquet awards. The Dragway will be on January 17, 2004, and the Speedway will hold theirs January 31, 2004. Each event beginning at 5:00 PM for Appetizers and Cocktails, Dinner at 6:00 PM, followed by the Awards to the top ten in each class. Tickets will be on sale for $30.00 and the events will be held at the Delmarva Convention Center, in Delmar, DE. Motorsports Mania Fourteenth Annual Show, February 6, 7, 8, 2004 at the Centre of Salisbury, Salisbury, MD. Many Stocks cars will be for display, as many as 80 cars are expected. I know the Ricky Johnson "Slow but Sexy" Big Block Modified car will be on hand, spoke to him Tuesday. All kinds of Motorsports ranging from Modifieds, Late Models, Street Modifieds, Modified Lites, Go-Karts, Micro Sprints, Dragsters, to the old fashion Vintage Stock Cars, Motorcycles, RC Cars, and Car Trailers. Even a couple of race tracks and parts vendors will be represented. Danny Chocolate Myers, former Dale Earnhardt gasman will be at show Friday night, Feb 6, from 5 til 9 pm. I understand that a Tony Stewart car will also be on display, too bad not Tony. Also, the Skywatch Motorsports Theatre setup will be available all weekend long with live coverage of all the events at Daytona, when there is nothing on from Daytona it will be Speed Channel and racing videos. The entertainment at Boscovs stage will also be on and off all weekend and the schedule for that will not be ready until later in the week. More details to come soon! Other additions are being made as you read this. All proceeds will go to "Ben's Red Swings," to raise money to build a new playground at the Salisbury, MD. Ben, a young boy passed away last year, and his wish was to have "red wings." Ben's parents state that Ben wanted others to be happy, so the red swings are to remind everyone of how generous Ben was in his short life. So get in gear and be there or be square, race tires are round and so are the tracks, so you don't want to be square. Be there or you might miss out on this very successful event. Redbud69 Racing Web Page will be hosting a Trivia Contest to raise proceeds for their contributes to "Ben's Red Swing". Stop by, I'll be in the Delmar Vintage Racing Club area. The Vintage club will have several cars on display.
