Tonight was the last points night at DIS and the Taylor & Messick Delaware Sprint Series title was won by Kramer Williamson for the 2005 season.
Current points leader for URC is Curt Michael; another couple of dates left before the champ is official in the URC Series.
2004 URC Rookie Kyle Purks earned his first URC win tonight. Purks said, " Delaware is my favorite track on URC schedule. The track was awesome, just the way I like it, around the top." Purks is only 19 years old.
Tim Hogue started on the pole followed by Miller, Zimmerman, Ely, Bitner. Lewis lost an engine or had a big puff of smoke let go just after first lap and rolled to stop top side of turn 2. At halfway was Hogue, Miller, Ely, Williamson, Brian, Purks.
Junior Martin took a wild ride on lap 21 when he got a tire over another cars tire and got out of shape and clips another wheel or just gets dug and starts flipping.
Ray Evernham drove regular driver Mares Stellfox 56M URC Sprint tonight in some hot laps, it was his announced as his first time in a sprint. Evernham held it pretty good, but sorry no speeds were taken.
