Millman started on the point at the green and Short runs side by side with him to lap 1.  In turns 1&2 on lap2 Short let off or backed out while Bishop got a really good run in turn 2 to take 2nd.  On lap 4 Bishop gets another good run off turn 2 this time on the inside and takes the lead.  Yellow on lap 6 when Reed got to wide on top side of turns 1&2 (but manages to return to an 8th place finish in the end).  The restart has Bishop, Millman, Short, Johnson, Bunting, with 3 wide action in turn 2 with Short, Bunting, & Johnson and Short takes 2nd.  Lap 9 Bunting challenges Short as they run wheel to wheel in the turns, but Short pulls away on the straight a ways; Mullins was 6th now.

At the start of half way had Bishop, Short, Bunting, Johnson, and Millman.  Lap 17 Mullins takes 5th from Millman and the yellowed flagged for Wilkins as he got around just outside of turn 4 ( Wilkins was running good and in the top 10 at the time); and Bunting had just taken the lead, but with the yellow he had to go back to 2nd.  Restart was Bishop, Bunting, Short, Johnson, and Mullins.  Lap 19 Mullins on the outside of turn 2 shoots right by Johnson for 4th.  Lap 20 Bunting got loose in turn 4 and Short reclaims 2nd, as Johnson and Bunting battle for 5th.  Yellow on lap 21 for Dutton in turn 2 gets around, and the restart was Bishop, Short, Bunting, Mullins & Johnson.  Lap 22 Mullins and Johnson metal to metal with Johnson grabbing 4th back.  Meanwhile Bunting was on his mission and got a good restart and reaches beside Bishop in turn 1 but backs out, but continues to try to get Bishop, but Bishop was just to strong claiming his 4th win for 2005.

Heats: 1 ST:  M. Byram 4B 2nd Fast Time:  20.107 seconds and 89.521 MPH on lap 5, D. Pettyjohn 80 with Track Fast Lap:  20.082 seconds and 89.633 MPH on lap 5, K. Pettyjohn 0, B. Geiger 38, D. Lingo, Jr. 55L, B. Whaley 19, V. Thomas* A1, M. Givens 9.  2 ND:  R. Massey 6X, with Track Fast Lap:  19.577 seconds and 91.945 MPH on lap 4, D. Hill 75 2nd Fast Time:  19.89 seconds and 90.498 MPH on lap 7, K. King* K&B, D. Lingo, IV 99L, R. Jarvis 46, M. Pettyjohn 18, B. Dryden D4, M. Wilkins 00, J. Eichholz 61.

Jarvis came off turn two in hot laps with something breaking and smacks the back wall and the car was pretty tore up.  (The tie rod, control bar, pan hard bar, header and more.)  Jarvis was offered to drive the Hal Browning #46, good sportsmanship by a classy guy that Hal is.

In the first heat, Geiger on the pole, (it was suppose to be Thomas), but Byram took the lead on the green.  Lap 2 Givens comes off turn 2 not sure if something broke but he got into the barrier wall and limps to the infield but not before the yellow was out.  The suspension and the whole front of the car was messed up ending his night.

Massey was on the point for the feature and leads on the drop of the green while Geiger & Byram battle for 2nd which Byram quickly grabs it.  Lap 3 its Massey, Byram, Geiger, King, & Hill, but lap 5 King had just took 3rd while Hill reels in Geiger.  By lap 6 Massey was in lap traffic.  The yellow flew on lap 9 with Wilkins around in turn 3, restart still same line except the switch between Geiger and King with King in 3rd.  The restart had Byram running door to door with Massey, but Massey just pulled right out front again, while the action was also on Hill and King running side by side.

The half way was Massey, Byram, King, Hill and K. Pettyjohn ( in the Tarbutton 0 again).  Lap 15 same top five but 6-10 were Geiger, Lingo 55L, Lingo 99L, Jarvis, D. Pettyjohn.  Lap 17 caution for Donald Lingo as he gets over top side of turn 1 when the motor blew ending his night, and Lingo 99L also headed for the pits with problems.  Five to go and its single file with the same 5, Byram went back to working on Massey and was luring him in each lap down to the flag stand with Massey at least a half of car length ahead.

M. Pettyjohn had ignition trouble and only got 1 lap in before his night was over again.
