No B-Main was held 6 cars were qualified in the 3 heats. Brian Brittingham had an engine let go before he even got to start and Justin Collett also had engine troubles so the remaining cars were able to be in line up without the B main.
Brian Seidel started on the pole but Purks quickly took the lead. The two swapped back and forth while running side by side. Lap 3 debris was on the track so the yellow waved. On the restart Purks jumped right out there to take the lead and strengthened it by couple car lengths. On lap 6 the field begins to lap the tail of the line of cars and Purks makes contact in turn 3 and gets over the edge going down the run off in turn 3. Purks never recovered from that incident.
Seidel new leader and he never looked back to claim his first win for 2005. Welsh gave it a good try with catching Seidel in the turns but loses ground on straight always.
