Great racing by all with only couple of cautions at the start and with the track in great shape. The URC's ran first with the threat of storms nearing and were almost flawless. Clauss started on the point at the green, and Williamson took to the lead right away. After a yellow, on Lap 4 Williamson leads Clauss, Collett, Aikin, and Seidel, Welsh. Lap 10 Gollub slows and moves to inside apron of turn 3 & 4 as lap 11 rolls around Purks rolls to stop just outside of turn 4. Gollub said he didn't have the car set up right. On the restart Williamson still leads Clauss, Collett, Aikin , and Seidel. At the halfway Kramer leads Clauss, Collett, Seidel, and now Welsh. Williamson is in the lap traffic but still running flawless. Lap 19 Michael had moved to 6th, and the last lap Michael moved to 4th.
First heat Clauss commanded the point but McGough soon took the lead, at the end of the halfway lap as the cars come out of turn 4 to under the flag stand when McGough blew a puff of smoke then into a gulf of flames to bring out the yellow. Clauss was the new leader with Aikin, Michael, Purks, and Seidel. On lap 7 into turn 1 Aikin, and Clauss run side by side with Clauss on the outside line and winning the heat. McGough changed his motor to run in the B Main and finished 4th in the B Main.
Heat 2 Williamson leads with the field spreading out by the end of lap 1. Lap 2 Welsh, and Ely ride wheel to wheel for 3rd and 4th into lap 3 when Welsh gets by Ely. Williamson led all 8 laps.
Heat 3 Hogue starts on the point and runs along side of Collett down backstretch. Hogue got a little wide in turn 3 but Collett was stronger than Hogue. Collett leads at halfway with Hogue, Coyle, Eldreth, and Green. Collett won the heat.
B Main Kostic started on the pole but Bitner took the lead until the yellow waved for McClaren in turn 2 around. The restart Bitner leads, Kostic, Gollub, Weller, and Betts. The cars are in turn 3 lap 2 when Durbin got around, Brittingham taps Durbin as he hit the brakes to stop, and McClaren came along and hits the brakes to avoid the cars and slowly turns on his side. by lap 5 Weller was knocking on the door of Kostic for 2nd, but Kostic stays in 2nd. At the halfway its Bitner, Kostic, Weller, Gollub, and McGough, lap 7 McGough gets by Gollub for 4th.
