Taylor 45, L. Crouse 99, D. Rust 396.  Also J. Daliessio 9D, R. Bishop 62 were added.  Bishop had to go to a backup car of Gary Simpson in 12B.

The track was great last night and some good side by side racing.  With the threat of weather fast approaching the Modifieds were run right after the URC Sprints feature.

Wilkins started on the pole and pulled away a good 4 car lengths. Lap 2 Downs and Short run fender to fender in turns 1 & 2 but Foskey shoots in between as the 3 come off of turn 2.  Foskey gets a better run and drives by to take 2nd.  Lap 5 its Wilkins, Foskey, Downs, Mullins, and Bunting.  Battling 3 wide for 6th were Short, Radd, and Johnson, on lap 8 Short, & Johnson run side by side with Short taking 6th.  On lap 9 Wilkins had already reached lap traffic, and at the halfway Wilkins leads, Foskey, Downs, Mullins as they all close in on Wilkins with the lap cars in the way.  The yellow flies for Short and Crouse as they tangle in turn 3.  On the restart Wilkins leads Foskey, Mullins, Downs, and Bunting at halfway, by the end of the halfway lap Mullins led, Foskey, Downs, Johnson, and Wilkins.  Mullins runs away saying "bye-bye".   The pace tightens up now battling for 2nd with Downs and Foskey with Downs taking 2nd, Johnson and Bunting follow.  The yellow is out on lap 18 for Ott, Tucker over top of track in turn 3, as Smith heads to the pits too.

On the restart Foskey runs wheel to wheel with Downs and takes back 2nd on lap 20.  Lap 21 Johnson is running 4th, as they approach turns 3 & 4 Downs waives ever so lightly out of shape and Johnson is all over the rear of Downs when it happens and around goes Downs.  The restart Mullins leads, Foskey, and Johnson, Bunting, as Johnson got too wide and rides the crest of turns 3 & 4 losing positions.  Lap 23 Brown got around in turn 3 for the yellow with a 2 lap shot out left between Mullins, Bunting, Foskey, Radd, and Wilkins.  On the restart Bunting pulls up to Mullins in turns 1 & 2, but Mullins gets a better bite.  Yet the caution is out again as Downs and Taylor tangle.

Now a 1 lap shoot out with Mullins, Bunting, Foskey, Radd, Wilkins, Reed, Simpson, Bishop, and Short.  This time Mullins runs with Bunting right on his rear, and the rest of the field racing side by side for 2nd -6th places of Foskey & Radd side by side, Wilkins & Reed side by side, and Johnson & Simpson side by side to the finish.

It was the first win for Davis who has been knocking on the door and finally got his turn, just like Casey Kahne finally getting his first win tonight in Richmond.
