Re: Bardstown/Bloomquist to be re-aired
E-Mail News 01-17-06
We apologize for the confusion that may have been caused due to the
incorrect date posted for the Bluegrass Speedway, Bardstown, KY event televised
on January 15, 2006. ESPN2 will be re-airing the Bluegrass Speedway Lucas
Oil event featuring Scott Bloomquist as the winner.
Fortunately for those who missed the ESPN2 airing of this NARA event on
Sunday,Jan 15. 2006 it will be aired a second time on Thursday, February 9, 2006
at 2:30PM. Again we apologize for the incorrect date posted in the first e-mail
news.
With thanks going to the NARA Lucas Oil Series and the owner and promoter, David
Ferrell for excellent track preparation, this was a super race for television
and Scott Bloomquist race fans will not want to miss it.
With the holidays and 2005 now in the past, a 2006 race schedule is in
preparation but is far from complete. We at Bloomquist Racing are excited and
looking forward to the 2006 season and hope to be at a race track near you. A
full Scott Bloomquist 2006 race schedule will not be posted until March due to
the expected delivery of Scott and Katrina’s daughter due on February 28th.
Events are being added as track promoters and racing series discuss and come to
agreements on dates and payoffs, etc. Until agreements are made by series and
track promoters, race teams can not put together a workable schedule. The race
teams such as Bloomquist Race Team do not schedule events. Race track promoters
schedule events. When track schedules are released, race teams then make their
selections from the schedules released. We hope to provide you with a 2006
schedule by March 1st.
Please call the hotline telephone number – 423-921-8161 - for Scott's race
results week by week during February. Race dates for February events will be
available on the hotline telephone number the last week of January.

Re: Christmas Greetings
12-18-05
As we approach the 2006 race season, we would like to reflect some on the 2005
season. It was a season of learning and change and because of learning and
change, progress is made. Even though Scott will not be following a series for
the 2006 season, many of the 2005 events will be a repeat for 2006. There will
be plenty of racing with a schedule already in the works. Race plans for 2006
is to travel a little less but race the big events as well as the televised
events for those who look forward to watching their favorite driver while
relaxing at home in their living room.
With the opportunity to run $10,000 events within 300-400 miles and saving the long distance 1000 mile runs for the $20,000 and televised events, Scott feels there will be more time to get ready for the big events at Eldora, West Plains, Knoxville, etc.
With the new black car hauler arriving in Mooresburg this past week, any serious interest in purchasing the white RV and white hauler can e-mail scott@bloomquistracing.com for information.
We would like to thank all of the sponsors who made racing possible for
the Bloomquist Race Team in 2005. A special Holiday Greeting and Thanks to Bob
and Barb Miller, Randy Sweet, Pup and Hoosier Racing Tires, and All Star
Performance and the many other sponsors listed at
www.scottbloomquist.com on
the sponsor link. Your support of Bloomquist Racing made it possible to get
through the 2005 season with the necessary changes and we look forward to an
even better 2006 season. Vic Hill Racing Engines was an immense factor in the
phenomenal season ending performance of the Bloomquist Team and we thank him for
going the extra mile. We also want to thank Arizona Sport Shirts and their
artists for the awesome apparel provided for the 2005 season. The response from
the “25 Years of Domination” t-shirt has been more than we expected. And site
unseen!!! Some samples of e-mail:
1. I just got home from work and in the mail was my new t-shirt. What a great
looking shirt.
2. I have bought a boat load of Scott’s shirts over the years since 1989. But
I have to say this shirt is just a really, really nice looking shirt. Just a
great shirt in looks and what it is saying. The shirt is awesome!
3. I just received my shipment of the 25th anniversary shirt and what a great
shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The e-mail response we are receiving back is greatly appreciated. Even though
the photo has not been added by web maintenance for your viewing, you can e-mail
for a sample of the artwork at
georgie@bloomquistracing.com today. Orders placed by Monday noon will
be shipped Priority Mail and received by Christmas. Also available for
Christmas is a new white shirt called “Nu Flame Design” and the artwork can be
e-mailed to you upon request. Phone orders can be placed by calling
423-272-2446.
Bloomquist Racing wants to include a Happy Holiday wish and thank the many
tracks listed on the back of the “25 Years of Domination” t-shirt for their
support of dirt track racing and their continued support of these crown jewel
events.
Monday is the last day to order the 1/24 scale 25th Anniversary Chrome Diecast at $75. as there will be a price increase to $85. on Tuesday, the 20th. In addition there will be a price increase on the 2001 1/24 scale green, black and white #0 diecast to $85 on Tuesday, Dec 20th. Re: Cotton Pickin’ 100 – Columbus, MS
Edited from Press Release (10-23-05)
Scott returned to Columbus, MS for the second time in three weeks with
redemption on his mind.
The event would be the $15,000-to-win 2nd Annual Coors Cotton Pickin' 100.
Johnny Stokes had prepped the 3/8-mile gumbo oval to very racy "black ice"
conditions, bringing precision driving to the forefront and offering up
excellent racing action. The track would be black from the wall to the infield,
and drivers would race each other using the entire surface of the wide raceway.
With Dan Schelieper taking the early lead over pole sitter Earl Pearson, Jr.,
Chris Wall moved into second place, with Wall moving into the lead on lap 22.
Scott, who had by then worked his way into the top three, began a battle with
Schlieper for second place as Scott worked the bottom groove with Schlieper
running a higher groove, Scott taking over the second place spot on lap 43.
Scott and Wall engaged in a battle for the lead on lap 48 running side-by-side
until Scott took over the lead on lap 50.
Racing continued as Scott navigated traffic and rode his Chevy powered machine
to the win.

Re: October Race News
10-21-05
Mooresburg, TN ---- With Scott celebrating is 25th year of dirt Late Model
racing, it seemed ironic for him to win the 25th Dirt Track World Championship
on Saturday, October 15 after the event has evaded his achievements time and
time again.
Twenty five years ago when the first Dirt Track World Championship was being held Scott started his race career in Southern California at the age of 16. Little did he know that he would 25 years later, at the age of 41, be living in the heart of racing in East Tennessee having achieved what many late model drivers, both young and old, will continue to strive for. Mastering tracks of all different sizes and shapes with the dirt of clay in the South to the black dirt in the North, Scott has the ability to read a track like a limited few drivers can. Scott is known for winning events on a first time visit to a track due to his ability to read a track and then master it in 30, 50 or 100 laps. Scott and team prefer 100 lap events with a raceable surface, not a locked down follow the leader race track. This is exactly what was provided at both the $35,000 Knoxville Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa and the $50,000 DTWC in Chillicothe, Ohio with Scott winning both events to win the Vermeer Challenge $15,000 bonus. Team Bloomquist would like to thank Carl Short and Dean Nardi for the insight in making the changes necessary to make the DTWC a huge success for all participants and fans and Jim Nier for hosting the event at KC Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio.
With these two events now added to his collection of wins, Scott can now claim the victory of all of the dirt late model racing major events. The two major events from 2005 will be added to the list of major accomplishments at www.scottbloomquist.com in the highlights link when stats are completed at the end of the season.
To celebrate the accomplishment of mastering all of the nation’s crown jewel events during the 25 year span from 1980 to 2005, Bloomquist Apparel will premier a ‘25 Years of Domination’ t-shirt listing all of the crown jewel victories over the past 25 years on the back with a 25th Anniversary logo and the 25th Anniversary chrome car on the front. Fans will continue to watch the Bloomquist Chassis Silver Anniversary chrome car on the race track in the 2006 season as Scott continues his 25th year of racing on into the next season. To preorder the ’25 Years of Domination’ t-shirt at a savings, please preorder online at www.scottbloomquist.com on the merchandise link this weekend.
Scott Bloomquist fans will want to tune in to Speed Channel October 22,
Saturday afternoon at 4:00 Eastern time for the YJ Stinger 50 at Bridgeport
Speedway, Bridgeport, NJ broadcast to catch one of Scott’s World of Outlaw
wins. With a back injury from the event the night before, it looked as if Scott
would not be able to participate in the YJ Stinger 50 but with perseverance and
pain, he came from behind to win the 50 lap feature.
Scott will be at Magnolia Speedway, Columbus, MS this weekend, October 21st and
22nd for the Cotton Pickin’ 100.

Re: Anniversary Chrome Diecast
E-Mail Newsletter: Anniversary Chrome Diecast
09-03-05
Bloomquist Racing is pleased to notify all that the 1/24 and 1/64 2005 25th Anniversary Chrome Diecast are in stock and ready for delivery. Scott’s 25th Anniversary began in August as his first race was in August of 1980 at Corona Raceway at the age of 16. We will be celebrating Scott’s 25th year of racing throughout the end of the year and into next year to August 2006. Look for memorabilia of t-shirts, including a special 25th Anniversary t-shirt and a chrome car t-shirt which will be available at the 2005 World 100 as well as can coolers, key tags, etc. to be available into the next season.
Due to the late arrival of the diecast on Friday, September 2nd, with Monday, September 5th being a holiday, fans who have preordered the autographed 1/24 and 1/64 scale diecast can pick up their prepaid orders at Eldora if preferred. Fans who do not pick up their autographed diecast preorder at Eldora will receive shipment of their preorder by Priority Mail no later than September 9th.
The 1/24 diecast are boxed with exceptional care and specially wrapped inside a tiny black bag with a draw string. The box then is slipped into a special Scott Bloomquist sleeve with 25th Anniversary Special Edition on the top along with Scott’s photo. There is a specified area on the sleeve for autograph and all boxes will be autographed. The 1/64 diecast will also be autographed on the box. An additional DIRTY DOZEN spoiler is included in every box as they are very fragile. The chrome diecast is a collectable item and not a toy. Each autographed car has been inspected individually by Bloomquist Racing for quality and can not be returned.
With a limited quantity of 2500 1/24 diecast produced, to guarantee the accuracy of the quantity of production, each car has been indented with a number inside the right rear quarter panel of the actual chrome car. The cars were packaged indiscriminately and there can be no number selection as it is unknown what the number of each car is until the box is opened. This indented number is a guarantee of quantity of production only.
The website at www.scottbloomquist.com provides the information for ordering both 1/24 and 1/64 scale diecast. Requests for an autograph on the deck of the 1/24 scale can be requested in the comment section of your online order. Without a request in the comment section for an autograph on the deck, only the box will be autographed.
Thank you ADC for a professional quality product! It is one of the most
awesome diecast ever produced and we appreciate the detail of the chrome work as
well as the special 25th Anniversary packaging. Most of all we appreciate the
provision of an individual number on each 1/24 scale to guarantee authenticity
of a limited edition of 2500 diecast to celebrate Scott’s 25th Anniversary of
racing.

Re:Labor Day Weekend News
E-Mail News Release 08-31-05
Bloomquist Racing would like to thank all for the e-mail that we receive
and apologize that we have not had the time to answer each and every e-mail. We
can not express how much we appreciate the time some of you have taken to
write.
Scott will be taking this weekend off in preparation for The World 100. Should
there be a change in the race schedule, the decision of where he will be running
will be found online at
www.scottbloomquist.com as well as by calling the hotline at
423-921-8161 as soon as the decision is made.
This past weekend, with rain canceling the event at Western Kentucky Speedway on Friday night, Scott decided at 12:00 noon on Saturday, since the car was loaded and ready to run, to head for Bardstown, KY for the NARA $10,000 Lucas Oil event. His goal was to try something new and test at Bardstown. We are sorry that we were not able to let fans know before noon that Scott would be at Bardstown but the decision wasn’t made until noon on Saturday when it was added to the schedule online. The good news is that the event will be televised in October on ESPN for all to be able to tune in to one of the best events of the year. The track was in excellent preparation, thanks to owner, David Ferrell, as fans saw racing three and four wide.
As 5th fast qualifier, Scott started the 5th heat in the inverted spot of
outside – second row finishing 3rd in the 5th heat. Starting spot for the
feature found Scott in 15th, the latter half of the middle of the pack but not
for long. Scott found a high groove that worked for him and by lap 39 was
leading the race to hold off Earl Pearson, John Gill and Brian Birkhofer who
were racing three wide competing for 2nd, 3rd & 4th. The 1ST place trophy was
presented by Scott to Brenda Speer, wife of legendary LM driver David Speer in
his memory.
The 25th Anniversary Chrome Diecast are in and Priority Mail Delivery can be
expected as soon as the diecast are autographed and packaged to mail. The cars
are now available at
www.scottbloomquist.com with a photo to be online soon.
Thanks again to fans, friends and sponsors for an enjoyable race season up
to this point and will be working toward many more wins for the remainder of the
2005 season.

Re: News for Last Weekend and Upcoming Week
A statement from Scott – "I would like to apologize to all of my fans as
well as my sponsors and those participating in the World of Outlaw Series for my
inability to participate in the upcoming week’s events at Farley Speedway, Eagle
Raceway, Dakota State Fairgrounds and Deer Creek."
Below a statement from Larry Clark at Custom Race Engines, Inc. regarding the
recent mechanicals that have taken place in the last couple of weeks which have
contributed to the inability to compete in the four race tour.
A statement from Scott’s engine builder since 1999, Larry Clark of Custom Race
Engines, Inc. - "Our policy has always been to race to win – not simply to
attend. We’ve got caught waiting for some new components as well as being in
the middle of testing some things which haven’t worked out. So we’ve paused to
catch our breath and get back on center. We’ll have new pieces back together by
the beginning of next week. Believe me, we’re working day and night... And
we’ll be ready for The Dream and all races thereafter."
Following a great weekend with a win at The Show Me 100 in West Plains,
Missouri, Scott regrets that he will not be racing until The Dream. Having the
equipment necessary to win is a goal that Larry Clark at Custom Race Engines and
Scott Bloomquist at Bloomquist Racing have in common and due to unforeseen
circumstances, the team will be unable to attend the upcoming four race event.

RE:Hall Cruises to Win at Volunteer
Excerpt from Press Release by Robert Walden
BULLS GAP, Tenn. (April 9) – Saturday night before a big season-opening race
crowd at Volunteer Speedway, Brad Hall of Knoxville (TN) grabbed the lead on lap
3 of the Don Smith Ford Super Late Model “Spring Fling 40” feature, and once out
front he never looked back for his first-ever victory at the track.
*Press Release by Georgie Bloomquist
04-09-05
For the complete article by Robert Walden check out
www.volunteerspeedway.com. Also
check out the Volunteer Speedway race schedule advertising the Sizzler 100
paying $30,000 to win in August. Look for both Scott and Brad along with some of
the best late model drivers in the U.S. planning to compete for the $30,000
Sizzler 100. Plan your vacation to see some of the best racing in East Tennessee
on Wednesday and Thursday, August 24th and 25th.
In 2005 Brad Hall will be driving the #47 Ford Taurus, Custom Race Engine, Scott
Bloomquist Race Car for Scott out of the Bloomquist race shop in Mooresburg, TN.
Brad has been solely working on his #47 race car in Scott's new shop facility
since early in 2004 when he bought the first Rayburn chassis sold through
Bloomquist Race Cars. The 2005 #47 Bloomquist Race Car chassis with a 2005 body
built by Bloomquist Race Cars is similar to Scott's 2005 color scheme but with
red reflective colors.
One might ask "Why Brad?"
The following excerpts from the March Scott Bloomquist Fan Club newsletter article "Brad Hall will drive for Scott in 2005" will give you the answer
- Scott plans to do more experimenting with the Bloomquist Race Car
chassis and Brad will be able to do some research and development since he’ll be
running a variety of races and will not be following the World of Outlaw
series. What impressed Scott about Brad was the time and effort he was willing
to commit to working on the car off the track. "He’s been here in the shop
every day," Scott said. "He has shown me that he's willing to put in the hours
and the physical labor it takes to be a success in racing." Like a lot of young
racers, Brad asked Scott what he would have to do to get from where he was to
where Scott was. "I told him and he did it," Scott said. "Every bit of it."
"That showed me that he was serious about being a professional in this sport."
"He’s now at a level where I can help him," Scott said.
We also covered a question in the March Newsletter in a column we call "In the
Cockpit" which answers questions from fans.
Question - I heard you had bought a Go-Kart. Are you going to be racing it somewhere?
Scott's Answer – I bought one that I've been racing around the shop. The
wide concrete space around the new shop makes a great oval track for the Kart.
It's a lot of fun, but most importantly, it's a way to develop the type of upper
body strength and stamina I need in operating the race car. It takes a lot more
upper body strength than you would think when steering those little Karts around
for 40 and 50 laps. With several months off during the winter, the Kart will be
a lot of fun, as well as keep the upper body strength I need when race season
arrives. Anything that will give me an edge on the track is always a benefit.
