Pen Argyl, PA- Each Event A Milestone As Thunder On The Hill Quickly Approaches
The 100th Show
By: Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media
What began just as a passing conversation twenty-two years ago, quickly
blossomed into one of the most coveted of the successful racing promotions in
the country and the 2011 racing season will see the highly successful
promotional team of the Rogers Family and the Miller Family hitting their stride
with the 100th show of their popular NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Series.
The 100th event will take place on June 28th when the mighty winged warriors
from the 410 sprint car racing circles and the race to the cushion 358 Modifieds
converge onto the Grandview Speedway for a jam-packed and sensational two
division show that will help earmark the monumental occasion for the Thunder on
the Hill Racing Series.
Each event leading up the the milestone 100th event will be equally as exciting
as the 22nd season of the multi-dimensional and high profile Thunder on the Hill
Series will kick off on May 25th with a dual card format at the Grandview
Speedway featuring the 410 Sprint Cars vying for the Fifth Annual Keystone Cup
title and the 358 Modified division, the latter the headline source of
excitement every Saturday night at the Grandview facility. The following week,
May 31st, will bring in the National stars from the USAC National Sprint Car
Series and their powerhouse wingless 410 cubic inch hot rods to give the racing
fans their annual look at the great driving stars from USAC that for the most
part the Eastern racing fans only hear about on the internet. The Wingless ARDC
Midgets will be in action for the May 31st event and the 72 year old
organization is a solid mix of veteran driving stars and a host of young guns
who have invaded the successful Eastern-based organization for their own share
of stardom.
Sandwiched in between the 99th and 100th event, the Thunder Road Series takes to
the Interstates and heads to the Garden State of New Jersey with the USAC
National Sprint Car Series at the "Thunder in the Pines" New Egypt Speedway for
a tremendous two division show on June 2nd with the USAC Tour and the Big Block
Modifieds going to war on the 3/8 mile speedway. After nearly a month off, the
Thunder Series will steamroll into Grandview Speedway on June 28th as the
Pennsylvania Speed Week Series with 410 Sprint Cars will invade the Grandview
Speedway along with the 358 Modifieds for another jam-packed two card show
filled with excitement from the very first green flag and in what will be the
momentous 100th Show.
The Thunder Road Series will take to the highway in July as the ROC Big Block
Modifieds and the 358/360 Sprint Car Challenge invade Pigeon Hills area of
Abbottstown, Pennsylvania for the long-awaited thunder-rocking show at the
Lincoln Speedway on Tuesday, July 12th. The Big Blocks will be returning to the
speedway for the first time in 25 years when they hit the 3/8 mile facility.
The Thunder Series will swing back to Grandview on August 3rd with Thunder
Traffic Jam featuring the ROC Big Block Modifieds and the first appearance of
the season by the Pennsylvania Sportsman division. Madness and Mayhem follow on
October 15th as the Thunder Series closes out the season with the popular 5/25's
features only format that proved so successful in past seasons. 358 Modifieds,
ARDC Midgets, URC Sprint Cars, Sportsman and Legend Cars will headline the event
along with the Garden State Vintage Modifieds, Vince's Towing Legend Owners race
and the Monster Smash Demo Derby action will give the fans a wide variety of
exciting racing action.
The initial conversation from twenty-two years ago has brought about many
successful friendships, promotional ideas and mid-week racing excitement for the
loyal racing fans that may never be duplicated again. The drivers, owners and
fans look forward to the series each year and the Thunder Promotional Team has
always been front and center with all of the pre-race information, the great
events and the post-race information for those who couldn't make it out to the
speedway on a given show night.
Defending series champion Tyler Walker had this is to say in a recent
conversation. Tyler stated, "Pennsylvania racing is top notch all of the way and
the Thunder on the Hill Series was among my reasons for leaving California to
compete here. While most of my racing in Pennsylvania is done on the half mile
tracks, the racing at Grandview is a welcome challenge to every 410 driver out
in the business. The pay is great, the Thunder staff is top-notch and the racing
on the third-mile is exciting, intense and demanding and when there is another
adjective invented, I am sure it will be with Grandview in mind". Tyler further
added, "We cant wait for the series to begin as we captured two wins there last
season and when you race for a living, each event becomes very important to us".
One of the true icons of Modified racing at Grandview and the winner of last
season's Thunder Traffic Jam, Craig Von Dohren had this to say in regards to the
Thunder Series. Craig remarked, "I have been associated with the Thunder Team
for many years and the opportunity to earn an extra pay-day just twenty minutes
from my home has always appealed to me. No one could ask for more from a
promotional team as whenever you race at their facilities you are family and it
has been an extreme honor to race at their shows and better yet to take home
some of great purse money offered".
410 sprint car driver Greg Hodnett, the 2009 Thunder Series champion, shared
some of his thoughts in reflecting to racing at Grandview under the Thunder
banner. Greg pointed out, "I have been racing in Central Pennsylvania for the
most part since 1998 and I do believe all of the racing is great. The one thing
that puts the Thunder Series at Grandview above many of the promotions going is
the fact the true racing fans have the opportunity to come out to see the best
racing stars at a mid-week event and it makes each race event a special
attraction for them and doesn't hinder or alter their weekend plans". Greg
further added, "We are looking forward to the Keystone Cup and would like to
take this opportunity to thank Bob Miller and Bruce Rogers for everything they
do for racing". The popular Gasoline Alley TV/Internet Show co-host Ed Pados had
this to say in referencing the Thunder on the Hill Shows. Ed remarked, "My
Brother Steve and I have worked with Bob Miller for more than twenty years at
various events and it has been an extreme honor for us to be included in the
many events Bob is involved with. The Thunder on the Hill team is tops and the
shows are always well received by everyone and we wish the Thunder Team
continued success in the future and we look forward to additional work we will
be doing with them down the road.
Five-time Thunder Series champion and nine-time event winner "Fast" Fred Rahmer
shared his thoughts about the Thunder on the Hill Series. Fred pointed out, "I
started my career in racing at Grandview and the Thunder Series is a great way
to go back and see the many fans we don't have the opportunity to see on a
weekly basis. Everyone of us as drivers can thank the Thunder on the Hill team
for allowing us the capacity of performing for all of our fans and to take home
a nice piece of change every time we compete. While it is hard to believe they
are coming up on their 100th show, my family and I wish them continued success
in all they do for the world of motorsports".
Greg Collins, the Vice President of the IRCO Group that headline sponsors the
Miller produced Dirt Track Heroes show every March, had this to say. Greg
quotes, "I was attending the Thunder on the Hill events long before I met Bob
Miller and began working with him. In the years now that I have had the capacity
to work alongside of him I can honestly say his attention to detail in planning
and scheduling and the coordinated efforts of his cracker jack events team make
doing a major event like the Dirt Track Heroes Show just a joy and a pleasure to
be on the premises. We wish the Thunder Staff all of the best as they head
towards that monumental 100th show and can't wait to be there to see it all
unfold".
Justin Henderson, the South Dakota native who is now racing in Central
Pennsylvania, added his own remarks in referencing the Thunder Shows. Justin
stated, "I have enjoyed racing in Pennsylvania so much that it is now pretty
much home to me. Since racing for a living is my life, the Thunder on the Hill
events give me the opportunity to increase my earnings if we have a good outing.
Grandview is a great place to race and is similar to the racetracks I competed
at back in South Dakota. I am looking forward to the Keystone Cup coming up real
soon". Gary Palmer, the successful promoter at the Accord Speedway in the
Catskill Mountains of New York and a frequent Thunder visitor when he is in
town, had this to say about the Thunder Series. Gary stated, "We had the
opportunity to take in a couple of shows in the past two seasons and the it is
easy to understand the excitement of what short track racing is all about. This
team is professional in all aspects of the racing game and our staff at the
Accord Speedway wishes the Thunder on the Hill team all of the success in the
world as they approach a new pinnacle in their successful history of promoting
racing events".
The final comments regarding the successful Thunder on the Hill Series come from
former top notch racer and now a director with the SAC Group Jason McCord. Jason
remarked, "Bob Miller and Bruce Rogers are a successful promotional team because
they have learned how to do all of the right stuff. They are so easy to work
with and because of their love for auto racing have fun in putting all of the
pieces of their great events together". Jason further added, "The Eastern Swing
is a part of our racing schedule we look forward to every year because of the
promotional team of Bob Miller and Bruce Rogers and the great fans who support
our annual trip East to race".
In the 97 previous events that are now etched into the annals of the history
books, it is important to realize the tremendous amount of purse money that has
been claimed by the stars of the many Thunder events. $3,232.280.00 is a
whopping sum of capital payout and that alone bears the strong significance as
to why the Thunder on the Hill Series will be embarking on their 22nd successful
season in a short span of time. At this time no one can predict who the winner
of the event will be but what in the back of everyone's mind do know is that the
Thunder on the Hill Racing Series is steam-rolling towards another monumental
achievement in the world of motorsports. One never has to ask a die hard racing
fan if they are going to be there, it is a given because he or she is very much
aware the Thunder Team is heading towards sacred territory and every one of us
as racing fans have enjoyed in being part of the successful journey.
To the Miller and Rogers Families. Thank you for allowing me to contribute a
small part to your wonderful achievement.........Steve Pads

racing's glory days as the past, present and the future of auto racing well

motorsports.
The legends of the Flemington Speedway launched the final day of the show as a

his involvement with the show as a show sponsor and a fan of racing and to be

The Stars Of Tomorrow Shine Brightly As 4th Annual IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show
Rolls Into The Record Books
The third day of the week long 4th Annual IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show was true
to form as the continued support from the local quarter midget racing clubs in
the area brought out their "stars of tomorrow" for a fun filled evening with
another great crowd on hand for the many interviews that took place in the
former Finish Line Store at the Mall. The noted broadcasting team of Ed and
Steve Pados along with Borgers Speedway announcer Bobby Stull conducted another
35 plus interviews with drivers and promoters with a couple of racing legends
thrown in for good measure as the announcing team greeted the many boys and
girls who will make up the future of the motorsports world.
The IRCO Community Federal Credit Union took center stage and once again
kicked off the evening's activities as Greg Collins, the Vice President of the
IRCO Group, who is also well noted as the official Harmony Speedway Historian,
spoke about some of his ventures out to some of the small car facilities over
the past years to view the great racing the quarter midget clubs provide and
thanked all of the parents on hand for allowing their children to bask in the
spotlight of the racing world. Collins also thanked the evening's co-sponsors EZ
Release Pro Shop and Carpenters Local 620 based out of Madison, New Jersey for
their full support of the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show.
The many young driving talents on hand made their way to the stage area for the
interviews sessions and many of the stars of tomorrow were giving their first
ever interviews with members of the racing media. Oaklane racer Jeff Royall
kicked off the interviews and was soon followed by Keil Cochran, Tyler Blake,
Logan Blake, Elwood Carroll, Jake Carroll, Nikki Carroll, Calvin Carroll, Sarah
Price, Abbey Price, Ava Horvath, Tyler Kadezabek, Spencer Mease, JJ Hortsman,
Brian Zyck, Katie Pursell, Josh Schaffer, Kevin Holt Jr, Mason Demeglio, Matthew
Hopkins, Billy Lasko, Heather Lasko, Dane Juhlin and Heather Juhlin.
Multi-talented hot-shoe Ryan Polenz was on hand for the event and Ryan fell four
points short in his quest for the Old Dominion Speedway Legends title in 2010
and vowed to return to the speedway in 2011 and go full-force in an effort to
bring the title back to the Garden State. Local racing legends Jay Aten and
Rusty Bowlby were on hand for the evening and took time off from signing
autographs to join in the stage interviews. Aten was a former champion at the
Mahoning Valley Speedway and also performed at many of the local dirt tracks in
the area. Bowlby was also a champion in his driving days, claiming the
Flemington Sportsman title in 1971.
Carl Mease from the Lehigh Valley Club, Rich Pursell from the Blue Mountain
Club, Bob Hopkins from West End and Mike Hughes and Jay Horvath from the Oaklane
Club all talked of their involvement with quarter midget racing and how the
racing activities help mold the youngsters into being better people as they
shape their lives through racing. Oaklane will host the Baby Grands this year
and as many as 600 quarter midget drivers from all over the country will have
the opportunity to try their hand at seeing who is the best of the best in
quarter midget racing. Through the efforts of PR Director Suzy Carroll, the
Keystone State Quarter Midget Club made their presence known at the show. The
Pados Brothers through their CARQUEST Gasoline Alley TV/Internet Show pledged
their continued support to the clubs throughout the 2011 racing season.
The show will continue through Saturday night, March 12 and the Wedensday
evening stage show will be sponsored by EZ Release Pro Shop that will open soon
in the Phillipsburg, New Jersey area. The Phillipsburg Mall is conveniently
located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ and has been the home base for the

season. Wall Stadium drivers and the legends of East Windsor Speedway will also
be on hand for the stage show. The show hours on Wednesday are 6 to 9 PM. All

The long amount of planning and scheduling, the many phone calls, the

response from car owners and drivers brought the jam packed Phillipsburg Mall
opening day crowd to a pitched fever as the 4th Annual IRCO Dirt Track Heroes
Show opened today for it's seven day run at the Phillipsburg Mall located in
Phillipsburg, New Jersey. 140 race cars from all divisions or series of the
motorsports world filled the Mall space as the many fans of racing came out to
get their first glimpse of the cars they will seeing doing battle throughout the
summer at one of the local racing venues in the Tri State Area. The IRCO

very rewarding for the entire racing community. The hard-working promotional of
Bob and Donna Miller followed to share their thoughts to the vast amount of the
time and planning it requires to do a multi-faceted and quality show that relies
heavily upon the support of the racers themselves to attain the record setting
numbers that have been accomplished with this years edition of the show.
The Pados Brothers proceeded with the taping of their show and many of the
familiar star figures of past racing wars took part in the interviews sessions
that carried on until 4:30 PM. Among the many legendary driving talents on hand

Outten Used Car Center served as the daily sponsor for the opening day
ceremonies and unveiled his recently recrafted 1990's Silver Crown race car
dubbed "The Spirit of Nazareth" and pristine showpiece serves as the backdrop
for the spectacular week long celebration in the stage area along with the 1948
Hillegas V8-60 powered Midget owned by Keith Majka.
The show will continue through Saturday night, March 12 and the Monday evening
stage show is sponsored by Smith Fabrications, the home of the Stage One
Modified creation by Richie Smith. The Phillipsburg Mall is conveniently located
on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ and has been the home for the Dirt Track
Heroes show for the fourth consecutive year. The schedule on Monday will
highlight the small car division speedways from around the area and many of the
driving stars from each speedway are expected out to interview during the show
hours of 6 to 9 PM. All historical racing groups including Reading, Flemington,
Harmony, Dorney Park and Nazareth have their vast memorabilia collections on
display and their scrapbooks open for the fans to take another long look at the
glory years of racing and possibly find a picture or two they want to purchase
as a keepsake of past glory or racing exploits.
All racing divisions are well represented at the show and include big and small
block Modifieds, Sportsman, Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, URC Sprints, TSRS
Sprints, Late Models, go-karts and a broad variety of vintage and restored race
cars. Several race tracks will use this event as an opportunity to get the word
out on their up-coming 2011 racing season. New Egypt, Grandview, Bridgeport,
Hamlin, Kutztown, Borger's and Snydersville will again be involved in the 2011
show. The week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the "Stars of
Tomorrow" with a special Tuesday night edition set aside for the budding young
racing talents competing with the many quarter midget clubs in the area.

The Countdown Starts For The 4th Annual IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show Beginning
Sunday With The Best Of The Past Present And Future Of Motorsports
Less than 48 hours remain as the clock continues to countdown the hours and
minutes until the 4th Annual IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show opens for it's seven
day run at the Phillipsburg Mall in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The IRCO Community
Federal Credit Union is home-based in Phillipsburg, New Jersey and has been the
sponsor of the popular event since it's inception. Greg Collins serves as the
Vice President of the IRCO Group and is well noted as the official Harmony
Speedway Historian and the tie in of the popular to the IRCO Group has been
rewarding for the entire racing community. The Harmony Speedway was a popular
race track built on farm-land back in 1963 and closed forever in 1973. While
many of the true race fans can take people right to the site of the former
racing playground, the landscape within the confines of what was once the
speedway has basically overgrown the area of the unique five-turned 1/2 mile
speedway. A select few brave soul racing fans have visited the site over the
years and some have stood on the great concrete bank that once served as the
Grandstand area. Some noble pathfinders have even found their way to the floor
of the speedway but the terrain has become treacherous with bramble and debris
and the world that was once the Harmony Speedway remains with those of us who
turned a wheel, drank a beer, and cheered on their favorite dirt track star as a
mainstay in our memory bank of the speedway located within a fifteen minute
drive from the Phillipsburg Mall.
The IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Car Show is set to return to the Phillipsburg Mall in
2011 with opening day set for Sunday, March 6. The show will continue through
Saturday, night, March 12. The Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in
Phillipsburg, NJ is a popular location for this event and will offer a broad
variety of race cars on display throughout the course of the week long show.
Race cars from all divisions of racing will fill the Mall space as the past,
present and future of racing are highlighted in a week long show that celebrates
the love each of us has found in attending races and meeting so many good people
associated with the sport. With an exciting schedule of events to whet the
appetite of any true race fan, large crowds are expected to "over flow" the
Phillipsburg Mall. This event is a Mall favorite and one of the leading
attractions, drawing record crowds for the week-long event.
The race cars are on display for various reasons. The restored race cars
represent the past or as many race fans refer to as the "Golden Era" of racing.
While some of the cars in attendance are original works, some of the race cars
are replicars, re-created to look much like the racers the legendary drivers
drove to glory at one of the many speedways that hosted the events. Those great
cars and the saved memories gain much more impact when the fans have the
opportunity to chat with many of the drivers who will be making special
appearances during the week long event. All historical racing groups including
Reading, Flemington, Harmony, Dorney Park and Nazareth will have their
memorabilia on display and their scrapbooks open for the fans to take another
long look at the glory years of racing and possibly find a picture or two they
want to purchase as a keepsake of past glory or racing exploits.
Current day race cars are displayed by race teams to gain for their sponsors
additional exposure and create an interest for mall walkers to visit a race
track in their area. New cars are displayed for similar reasons, and to also
show the new and changing technology of the race cars. You can visit the IRCO
Dirt Track Heroes Car Show and on any given night, meet the drivers who pilot
these four wheel high powered race cars. Many race tracks participate in this
event as a way to distribute their schedules for the coming season and meet and
greet their loyal fans and hopefully, make some new fans to attend their racing
events.
Harmony Speedway builder and promoter Carl "Fuzzy" Van Horn will be at the Mall
on special nights to sign autographs and to talk about the 46 seasons he spent
behind the wheel of a high powered Modified. His Grandson David will have the
family hot rod in the show and will be part of the New Egypt Speedway night at
the Mall. From the Flemington group, Stan "The Man" Ploski, Gerald Chamberlain,
Kenny Brenn and Sammy Beavers will be among the stars signing autographs at
their display. Nazareth talents include Tighe Scott, Carl Collis, Richie Smith,
Leroy Amey, Del Buss and many more as the opening of the show includes a tribute
to both of the Nazareth raceways. URC will have representation from talented
Jonathan Swanson, Mark Bitner and his Bitner Automotive and Performance
sponsored sprinter and up and coming local talent Chris Weiss. Stephanie
Stevens, the talented local female racer from Phillipsburg, New Jersey, will
have her new TSRS 305 sprinter on hand for the event as she steps into a new
phase of her racing career in 2011. "The Negotiator" Ricky Yetter will possibly
have both of his race cars on display as the Wilson Boro resident prepares for
not only a big season in racing but is running for District Court Judge as well.
The "Rieglesville Rocket" Larry Lippincott will have his mount on display after
a brilliant season at the Bridgeport Speedway where he scored four wins and lost
the point title by one single digit. His teammate Frank Dorry will have his car
on display as well. Frank was 7th in the final points at Bridgeport a season
ago. The "Magic Man" Mike Mammana will have his spruced up hot rod on display
during the show. Mike rode the strength of two wins and the point lead into the
final night of competition at Big Diamond only to be wrecked early in the event.
The Gilmore Brothers, Mark and Brian will have their race cars on display. The
New Jersey based brother act will go in separate directions this season as Brian
will go after the 600 Wingless title at the Hamlin Speedway while brother Mark
will test the waters in ARDC competition as he vies for Rookie of the Year in
the series after a championship season came his way in 2009 at Hamlin and he
followed it up with a runner-up performance in 2010. More and more drivers will
be referenced in upcoming stories as the pieces continue to fall into place for
this great annual event.
Entries continue to be accepted to display in the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show.
More information is available by calling: 443-513-4456 or you may complete the
entry form located on the home page of the:
www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com web site. Follow the simple

cars of all divisions, vendors and race tracks as well.
In the previous events, cars that were on display include big and small block
Modifieds, Sportsman, Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, URC Sprints, Late Models,
go-karts and a broad variety of vintage and restored race cars. Several race
tracks will also use this event as an opportunity to get the word out on their
up-coming 2011 racing season. New Egypt, Grandview, Bridgeport, Hamlin,

reached across the international borders with links in many countries as well
throughout the United States and the Gang has interviewed more than 7,000
drivers, owners, engine builders, promoters and trophy girls along the way.

may be gone from the landscape but never forgotten from our treasured memories.
Show co-host Ed Pados made this observation, "My Brother Steve and I look
forward to this great gathering of racing personalities with this week long
show. While most of us do not see each other on a daily basis, this event is the

great fellowship of camaraderie within the racing community". He further added,
"It takes many people to bring a show like this together and truly the best in

IRCO DIRT TRACK HEROES CAR SHOW
FLEMINGTON SPEEDWAY HISTORICAL SOCIETY PREPARING FOR LARGE PRESENTATION AT 4TH
ANNUAL IRCO CREDIT UNION DIRT TRACK HEROES CAR SHOW MARCH 6 TO MARCH 12
The 4th Annual IRCO Credit Union Dirt Track Heroes Car Show presented by the
NAPA Auto Parts of the Delaware Valley is fast approaching. The week long event
will open on Sunday, March 6 and continue through Saturday, March 12 at the
Phillipsburg Mall located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ. One of the
highlights of this grand off season event will be the strong presence of the
Flemington Speedway Historical Society. Now in its' second year of existence,
the organization has received a warm welcome by the racing fraternity that
remembers the many great moments that the famous Hunterdon County "square"
provided for over eighty-five years up to its/ closing in the year 2000.
Through the efforts of the Dirt Track Heroes Show organizer Bob Miller, a vacant
has been provided for this year's display and event coordinator Wyatt Jacobus
and Vice President Mark Harrington have been busy obtaining much memorabilia so
that the society can provide a “mini-museum” in its week-long display at the
mall.
Included will be a large display of racing programs, photos, and other track
related items as well as a large display of race car related parts, including
sheet metal, hoods, and driver used items. The society will also be offering
membership for fans interested in joining as well as bringing some vintage stock
cars for display in the mall. Plans are also underway to bring some Flemington
legends to the mall for appearances and future announcements will be forthcoming
upon confirmation from drivers. Working in conjunction with Steve and Ed Pados,
many of the Flemington stars and legends will be among the more then
three-hundred racing celebrities that have agreed to be interviewed during the
week long show.
A highlight of the event will be the appearance of the legendary former two-time
NASCAR Sportsman Champion "The Flyin Dairy Farmer" Bill Wimble on the Friday of
the show. Wimble, who in conjunction with author Lew Boyd at Coastal 181 tells
the journey of his storied life in his bestselling book "I'll Never Be Last
Again", will be signing and selling the books at the event from 4 PM until 9 PM
on the special edition of the show and along with him will be another of the
legends of racing as the "Kutztown Komet" Freddy Adam will be co-anchoring the
day with his "Life and Times of the Kutztown Komet, Freddy Adam" book that was
released in November. Adam will have his books for sale and signing as these two
masters of racing converge together at the Phillipsburg Mall stage area.
A special group of legendary racing stars and racing friends will join the pair
as Carl "Fuzzy" Van Horn, Gerald Chamberlain, Ronnie Dunstan, Bill Decoster,
Tommy Hager, Tighe Scott, Sammy Beavers and Red Coffin will sign autographs and
trade numerous fun stories regarding the "Golden Age of Racing" as we remembered
it best. With the recently finished Mo Pagni owned and re-crafted USAC Silver
Crown race car that was built in the mid 80's serving as the backdrop for this
special edition event, the atmosphere of the Mall will be abuzz with these
legendary stars of auto racing on hand. The show will continue throughout the
evening hours as Ken Brenn Sr, Jimmy Maguire, Hank Rogers and many others from
the open wheel ranks of the URC, ARDC, TSRS and Grandview, Big Diamond,
Bridgeport Speedways and the Reading Fairgrounds Legends such as Tommy Long,
Bobby Braxton, Alan Carter, Bobby Eppiheimer, Curt Weller and many more join in
for a star studded evening of racing fun and good times.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- - - THANK YOU

Feb. 24, 2011
The Legendary Bill Wimble And Freddy Adam To Do Book Signing For Special Friday
Edition Of The IRCO Credit Union 4TH Annual Dirt Track Heroes Show presented by
NAPA of the Delaware Valley
The upcoming 4th Annual IRCO sponsored Dirt Track Heroes Show has already signed
on an impressive array of top driving talent for the seven days of the
spectacular event and now the organizers have taken the show one step further
with a special edition of the show taking place on Friday, March 11th at 4 PM.
Through the determined efforts of Event Promoter Bob Miller, Coordinators Ed and
Steve Pados, IRCO Vice President Greg Collins and Coastal 181, they have
collectively arranged for the legendary former two-time NASCAR Sportsman
Champion "The Flyin Dairy Farmer" Bill Wimble to make a special appearance at
the show on the Friday of the show. Wimble, who in conjunction with author Lew
Boyd at Coastal 181 tells the journey of his storied life in his best selling
book "I'll Never Be Last Again", will be signing and selling the books at the
event from 4 PM until 9 PM on the special edition of the show and along with him
will be another of the legends of racing as the "Kutztown Komet" Freddy Adam
will be co-anchoring the day with his "Life and Times of the Kutztown Komet,
Freddy Adam" book that was released in November. Adam will have his books for
sale and signing as these two masters of racing converge together at the
Phillipsburg Mall stage area.
A special group of legendary racing stars and racing friends will join the pair
as Carl "Fuzzy" Van Horn, Gerald Chamberlain, Ronnie Dunstan, Bill Decoster,
Tommy Hager, Tighe Scott, Sammy Beavers and Red Coffin will sign autographs and
trade numerous fun stories regarding the "Golden Age of Racing" as we remembered
it best. With the the recently finished Mo Pagni owned and re-crafted USAC
Silver Crown race car that was built in the mid 80's serving as the backdrop for
this special edition event, the atmosphere of the Mall will be abuzz with these
legendary stars of auto racing on hand.
Bill Wimble resided in upstate New York and that is where he began his journey
in racing. After close to twenty years and 250 wins behind the wheel of a race
car, Wimble retired from the sport after a horriffic accident at the Lebanon
Valley Speedway where he was crowned the speedway champion in 1968 with more
than a month remaining in the season. Wimble on to become a very successful
businessman and owned more than 25 businesses in his very successful foray into
the business world. Wimble was a 14-time track champion at eight different
speedways with five of those titles coming at the famous Fonda Fairgrounds.
Wimble captured wins at many of the speedways of the day and although he
belonged to the NASCAR organization, traveled into the Lehigh Valley area to
race at Harmony, Reading, Nazareth, Flemington and Nazareth National Speedways
and made his presence known at each speedway where he competed Wimble was the
NASCAR Sportman Champion in consecutive seasons in both 1960 and 196, was the
New York State champion on five occasions and was the Connecticut State champion
twice. Bill was among five additional friends that rescued Marvin Panch from his
burning Maserati in 1963 at Daytona and for their heroics received the
prestigious Carnegie Bronze Medal for Bravery. Wimble is a member of many Hall
of Fames regarding his racing exploits and was honored by AARN as one of the top
25 Modified drivers of all-time. Wimble drove for many owners in his illustrious
driving career but most fans will always pair him with the famous Dave McCredy
owned, Fred DeCarr wrenched signatured numbered 33 cars of black, white and red
paint schemes. Wimble also did a short stint with legendary car owner Paul
Deasey of 707 fame.
Freddy Adam is without question one of the most popular drivers to ever steer a
race car locally. The name Adam and the Reading Speedway were synonymous with
great racing track lore. Adam captured the prestigious National Open at
Langhorne in 1964 and was victorious at the Nazareth National Speedway as well.
Adam carved out a special niche with his many fans in racing as he was always
approachable for an autograph or to chat about his latest racing endeavors. Adam
was a star attraction wherever he competed and the list of tracks where he raced
proved without question he never shied away from competition anywhere at
anytime. Adam was a past champion at the old Hatfield Speedway and was a 20-time
career winner at the "Home of Champions" the Reading Fairgrounds. Adam competed
for many car owners but the most memorable rides were the Smith 555, the Kresge
777, Bullock 76, the Adam 8 and the Weaver 00. Adam is an integral part of the
Reading Fairgrounds Racing Historical Society and attends as many events as
possible.
The fourth Annual IRCO Community Federal Credit Union Dirt Track Heroes Car Show
presented by NAPA Auto Parts of the Delaware Valley thanks everyone at Mo
Pagni's Outten Used Car Center for their support of the popular show that is set
to return to the Phillipsburg Mall in 2011 with opening day set for Sunday,
March 6. The show will continue through Saturday, night, March 12. The
Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ is a popular
location for this event and will offer a broad variety of race cars on display
throughout the course of the week long show. Last year 122 cars from all
divisions of racing filled the Mall space as the past, present and future of
racing are highlighted in a week long show that celebrates the love each of us
has found in attending races and meeting so many good people associated with the
sport. With an exciting schedule of events to whet the appetite of any true race
fan, large crowds are expected to "over flow" the Phillipsburg Mall. This event
is a Mall favorite and one of the leading attractions, drawing record crowds for
the week-long event.
All historical racing groups including
Reading, Flemington, Harmony, Dorney Park and Nazareth will have their
memorabilia on display and their scrapbooks open for the fans to take another
long look at the glory years of racing and possibly find a picture or two they
want to purchase as a keepsake of past glory or racing exploits.

entry form located on the home page of the:
www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com web site. Follow the simple

cars of all divisions, vendors and race tracks as well.
In previous events, cars that were on display include big and small block
Modifieds, Sportsman, Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, URC Sprints, Late Models,
go-karts and a broad variety of vintage and restored race cars. Several race
tracks will also use this event as an opportunity to get the word out on their
up-coming 2011 racing season. New Egypt, Grandview, Bridgeport, Hamlin,
Kutztown, Borger's and Snydersville will again be involved in the 2011 show. The
week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the "Stars of Tomorrow"
with a special night set aside for the budding young racing talents competing
with the many quarter midget clubs in the area.
For the fourth consecutive year, CARQUEST Gasoline Alley and the Pados Brothers
will host the nightly events and interviews along with some guest announcers.

Mo Pagni's Outten Used Car Center Signs On As Two Night Sponsor For 4TH Annual
Dirt Track Heroes Show
Mo Pagni is not only a successful businessman in the Lehigh Valley area of
Pennsylvania but has enjoyed a lifetime of love for auto racing and through that
love and commitment to his passion with racing has been instrumental in the
restoration of race cars, most namely the Budd Olsen ZERO machine constructed at
the Lowden Shops in Pennsylvania. With the upcoming 4th Annual IRCO sponsored
Dirt Track Heroes Show, Pagni will once again take center stage with a totally
re-crafted USAC Silver Crown race car that was built in the mid 80's. After
purchasing the car from Patrick Bruns in Indiana, Pagni took the somewhat down
trodden race car to former Nazareth racing star Freddy Sabatine's race shop for
the complete re-do. Sabatine took the car down to the bare frame and piece by
piece has meticulously rebuilt the entire race car to better than showroom
condition. The project has been a long time in the making but to do something
correctly, Pagni spared no expense to have the race car re-created to his liking
and perfection. The car has just returned from the Cos Shops for the lettering
and graphic process work and Pagni is putting the final touches on the car in
order for the car to be unveiled at the Dirt Track Heroes Show starting on March
6th.
Mo Pagni's Outten Used Car Center has been a mainstay business in South
Allentown area for more than 20 years and Mo has coined the phrase "Stop Dreamin,
Start Driving" as the experts at Mo Pagni's will find the car of your desire and
place you into the driver's seat. Bad Credit, No Credit? Let the Pagni Team take

Smith Fabrications Signs On As Sponsor For 4TH Annual Dirt Track Heroes Show
The Smith name in local racing circles is synonymous with an abundance of great
racing talent that remains very much intact today with the third generations
cars carrying on the family heritage. Father Roy Smith was a pioneer on local
short tracks within the Tri-State area and had many top talents driving his
signature numbered 555 race cars to many wins or top finishes with driver such
as Freddy Adam, Bobby Bottcher, Billy Tanzosh and son Richie at the controls.
Just as Roy was a pioneer in the golden era of racing, his son Richie has been a
pioneer in the modern era of racing as the current trend for smaller race cars
has spawned a new generation of race cars and Smith has been at the cutting edge
in the development and technology of his entry into the racing wars with his
Stage One Modified division. The exciting smaller scale version of the popular
Modified designs of today spring to life at the Smith Fabrication shops located
in Kunkletown, Pennsylvania. "Rapid Rich" has been producing the race cars since
2007 and the popularity of his neat looking creations took the Stage One Tour to
many venues last season in the Northeast. Touting affordability and safety as
the main selling points, the race car is priced at under $10,000.00 and gives
the weekend racer the opportunity to go out and have some great fun while not
taking away from the family budget through exorbitant costs of the race car's
components. On the race track, the speedy little bombs create all of the
excitement the small car divisions provide today and the competition is kept
close due to the fact each car is constructed by the Professionals at the Smith
Fabrication shops.
Richie Smith was a 17-time winner at the former Nazareth Speedway half mile oval
and saw the need for the type of race car he is constructing. With a successful
racing background, the Smith Team will be at the IRCO sponsored Dirt Track
Heroes Show at the Phillipsburg Mall from March 6th to the 12th to answer any
questions regarding the Stage One Modifieds and the exciting future ahead for
the class. Smith Fabrications is located at 5097 Silver Spring Road in
Kunkletown, Pennsylvania and the phone number to reach them is: 610 462 4302.

The fourth Annual IRCO Community Federal Credit Union Dirt Track Heroes Car Show
presented by NAPA Auto Parts of the Delaware Valley thanks everyone at Smith
Fabrications for their support of the popular show that is set to return to the
Phillipsburg Mall in 2011 with opening day set for Sunday, March 6. The show
will continue through Saturday, night, March 12. The Phillipsburg Mall, located
on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ is a popular location for this event and
will offer a broad variety of race cars on display throughout the course of the
week long show. Last year 122 cars from all divisions of racing filled the Mall
space as the past, present and future of racing are highlighted in a week long
show that celebrates the love each of us has found in attending races and
meeting so many good people associated with the sport. With an exciting schedule
of events to whet the appetite of any true race fan, large crowds are expected
to "over flow" the Phillipsburg Mall. This event is a Mall favorite and one of
the leading attractions, drawing record crowds for the week-long event.
Many race tracks participate in this
event as a way to distribute their schedules for the coming season and meet and
greet their loyal fans and hopefully, make some new fans to attend their racing
events.
Hall of Fame driver Carl "Fuzzy" Van Horn and the builder of the Harmony
Speedway will be at the Mall on special nights to sign autographs and to talk
about the 46 seasons he spent behind the wheel of a high powered Modified. His
Grandson David will have the family hot rod in the show and will be part of the
New Egypt Speedway night at the Mall. From the Flemington group Stan "The Man"
Ploski, Sammy Beavers, Kenny Brenn and Billy Pauch will be part of the week long
event and "The Everett Express" Gerald Chamberlain will be at the show Friday
and Saturday and "The Kutztown Komet" Freddy Adam will be part of Friday's Show.
URC will have representation from talented Jonathan Swanson, Mark Bitner and his
Bitner Automotive and Performance sponsored sprinter and up and coming local
talent Chris Weiss. Stephanie Stevens, Bill Case and Jeff Schall will be part of
the TSRS contingent and Miss TSRS Arynne Moody will make an appearance on Friday
night March 11th. "The Negotiator" Ricky Yetter will possibly have both of his
race cars on display as the Wilson Boro resident prepares for not only a big
season in racing but is running for District Court Judge as well. The show will
kick-off with a tribute to the Nazareth and Nazareth National Speedways along
with all race tracks and some of the racing great expected to be on hand include
Tom Hager, Richard Marinelli, George Wambold, Bob Rossell, Red Coffin, Tighe
Scott, Richie Smith, Del Buss, Randy Bok, Danny Huston, Bill Wilson, Gary Grim,
Rich Yetter, Leroy Amy and many many more.
Entries continue to be accepted to display in the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show.
More information is available by calling: 443-513-4456 or you may complete the
entry form located on the home page of the:
www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com web site. Follow the simple
instructions posted on the web site to register. Space is available for race
cars of all divisions, vendors and race tracks as well.
Bobby Stull, Joel Murns, Justin Beltrame, Pete Wortman, Nick Leach and Earl
Krause have already signed on to play a part in the event. The taping of the
show will be on Sunday, March 6th for a two hour span that will be aired the
following evening through WALN at:
www.walncableradio.com In 2010, 368 drivers, owners, racing legends
and track promoters were interviewed or featured during the nightly activities.
The IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Car Show will again offer a great keepsake event
souvenir program book and shirt. The Phillipsburg Mall is open Sunday 11 AM to 6
PM; Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM.
IRCO Community Federal Credit Union remains the lead show sponsor since the
event first opened in 2008. More information on IRCO is available at the

CARQUEST GASOLINE ALLEY NEWS
Allentown, PA: CARQUEST Gasoline Alley TV/Internet Show Returns To 4th Annual
IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Event On March 6th With Two Hour Show
By:Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media
The extremely popular CARQUEST Gasoline Alley TV/Internet Show confirmed today
their award winning show will help kick off the 4th Annual IRCO Community
Federal Credit Union sponsored Dirt Track Heroes event that is set to open on
March 6th and run until March 12th at the Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22
East in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
Co-Hosts Ed and Steve Pados will open the Mall festivities with a two hour
edition of their show on Sunday, March 6th that will air on March 7th the
following evening in edited form from 6 to 8 PM on channels 103 and 137 and with
a webcast internet video feed. The Pados Brothers coined the phrase "the past,
present and future" of racing when they first hit the airwaves back in 2002 and
have been serving the racing community for eight years and are well noted for
their much acclaimed "theme" show format with their novel approach and exciting
look at the past, present and future of the short track motorsports world. To
date, the Gang has hosted 512 editions of their show and have hosted 300 shows
since joining forces with the party channel at WALN Digital Cable and "Happy
Jack" Burns on Channels 103 and 137. The show is also run as a tape delayed
edition on Channel 50 at 11 PM. Their popular show has reached across the
international borders with links in many countries as well throughout the United
States and the Gang has interviewed more than 7,000 drivers, owners, engine
builders, promoters and trophy girls along the way.
The first three editions of the popular Mall show have been an overwhelming
success and the excitement level has been extremely high in the early stages of
the 2011 registration for the upcoming event. The event bonds many familiar
faces from the past years of the golden era racing to match up with today's
current superstars and the future of the sport with the stars of tomorrow in a
jam packed week long show offering that is absolutely free to the public.
Legendary racing names from the past including Ken Brenn, Carl "Fuzzy' Van Horn,
Jimmy Maguire, Sammy Beavers, Tommy Hager, Stan "The Man" Ploski, "Rapid" Richie
Smith, Gerald Chamberlain, Bill Wilson, Leroy Amey, Scott Kania, Ray Liss, Red

of racing memorabilia from those memorable days of racing when one didn't have
to travel out of the greater Lehigh Valley to witness the great competition that
took place on those famous speedways that may be gone from the landscape but
never forgotten from our treasured memories. Show co-host Ed Pados made this
observation, "My Brother Steve and I look forward to this great gathering of
racing personalities with this week long show. While most of us do not see each
other on a daily basis, this event is the universal melting pot to greet
friends, shake hands, tell stories and enjoy a great fellowship of camaraderie
within the racing community". He further added, "It takes many people to bring a
show like this together and truly the best in the business spearhead and
accomplish this mission with Bob and Donna Miller, Greg Collins, my brother
Steve and all of the car owners, drivers, speedways, nostalgia groups and fans
providing the labor and the inspiration for a show of this magnitude".
Joining the Pados Brothers will be longtime popular Borger's Speedway announcer

4TH ANNUAL IRCO DIRT TRACK HEROES SHOW OFFERS THE BEST OF THE PAST PRESENT AND
FUTURE OF MOTORSPORTS
The Tri-State area surrounding the Phillipsburg Mall in Phillipsburg, New Jersey
enjoyed a wealth of great raceways dating back to World War II days and followed
into the 50's years and beyond and with that one of the great racers of the day,
local racing ace Carl "Fuzzy' Van Horne cast his hopes and dollars in the local
region not far from the Mall site and began building a dirt track fashioned
after the old Pitman-Alcyon Speedway that was closed somewhere around 1960. Van
Horn opened the Harmony Speedway in 1963 and then budding racing great great
Sammy Beavers captured the initial grand opening night event. While the speedway
never enjoyed the success Van Horn envisioned, the legacy of the Harmony race
track and the many more in the Tri-State area that hosted racing events, brings
each of us to the fourth Annual IRCO Community Federal Credit Union Dirt Track
Heroes Car Show set to return to the Phillipsburg Mall in 2011 with opening day
set for Sunday, March 6. The show will continue through Saturday, night, March
12. The Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ is a
popular location for this event and will offer a broad variety of race cars on
display throughout the course of the week lonmg show. Last year 122 cars from
all divisions of racing filled the Mall space as the past, present and future of
racing are highlighted in a week long show that celebrates the love each of us
has found in attending races and meeting so many good people associated with the
sport. With an exciting schedule of events to whet the appetite of any true race
fan, large crowds are expected to "over flow" the Phillipsburg Mall. This event
is a Mall favorite and one of the leading attractions, drawing record crowds for
the weeklong event.
The race cars are on display for various reasons. The restored race cars
represent the past or as many race fans refer to as the "Golden Era" of racing.
While some of the cars in attendance are original works, some of the race cars
are replicars re-created to look much like the racers the legendary drivers
drove to glory at one of the many speedways that hosted the events. Those great
cars and the saved memories gain much more impact when the fans have the
opportunity to chat with many of the drivers who will be making special
appearances during the week long event.
Many race tracks participate in this
event as a way to distribute their schedules for the coming season and meet and
greet their loyal fans and hopefully, make some new fans to attend their racing
events.
Hall of Fame driver Carl Van Horn will be at the Mall on special nights to sign
autographs and to talk about the 46 seasons he spent behind the wheel of a high
powered Modified. His Grandson David will have the family hot rod in the show
and will be part of the New Egypt Speedway night at the Mall. From the
Flemington group it is reported that Stan "The Man" Ploski will be signing
autographs at their display. URC will have representation from talented Jonathan
Swanson, Mark Bitner and his Bitner Automotive and Performance sponsored
sprinter and up and coming local talent Chris Weiss. Stephanie Stevens, the
talented local female racer from Phillipsburg, New Jersey, will have her new
TSRS 305 sprinter on hand for the event as she steps into a new phase of her
racing career in 2011. "The Negotiator" Ricky Yetter will possibly have both of
his race cars on display as the Wilson Boro resident prepares for not only a big
season in racing but is running for District Court Judge as well. The "Rieglesville
Rocket" Larry Lippincott will have his mount on display after a brilliant season
at the Bridgeport Speedway where he scored four wins and lost the point title by
one single digit. His teammate Frank Dorry will have his car on display as well.
Frank was 7th in the final points at Bridgeport a season ago. The "Magic Man"
Mike Mammana will have his spruced up hot rod on display during the show. Mike
rode the strength of two wins and the point lead into the final night of
competition at Big Diamond only to be wrecked early in the event. The Gilmore
Brothers, Mark and Brian will have their race cars on display. The New Jersey
based brother act will go in separate directions this season as Brian will go
after the 600 Wingless title at the Hamlin Speedway while brother Mark will test
the waters in ARDC competition as he vies for Rookie of the Year in the series
after a championship came his way in 2009 at Hamlin and he followed it up with a
runner-up performance in 2010. Mark will be aboard a former Drew Heistand race
car. More and more drivers will be referenced in upcoming stories as the pieces
continue to fall into place for this great annual event.
New Egypt, Grandview, Bridgeport, Hamlin,
Kutztown, Borger's and Snydersville will again be involved in the 2011 show. The
week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the "Stars of Tomorrow"
with a special night set aside for the budding young racing talents competing
with the many quarter midget clubs in the area.
For the fourth consecutive year, CARQUEST Gasoline Alley and the Pados Brothers
will host the nightly events and interviews along with some guest announcers.
Bobby Stull, Joel Murns and Justin Beltrame have already signed on to play a
part in the show. The taping of the show will be on Sunday, March 6th for a two
hour span that will be aired the following evening through WALN at:
www.walncableradio.com In
2010, 368 drivers, owners, racing legends and track promoters were interviewed

PM; Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM.

GA MOTORSPORTS MEDIA NEWS
Bethlehem, PA- A Touch Of Abracadabra Has The "Magic Man" Mike Mammana Surfacing
As The Second Entry For The 2011 Dirt Track Heroes Show
By: Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media
With a championship title in his grasp just one season ago, the magic quickly
vanished as Mike Mammana found himself slipping back four spots on the final
night of points when a second lap wreck in front of him left him no escape route
and the resulting wreck reduced his race car to a mangled and twisted mess when
the dust finally settled. The disappointment and subsequent loss of the title
left Mammana a bit dismayed as he would have enjoyed the opportunity to at least
race for the title rather than be sitting on the sidelines and watching his
dreams disappear in front of his eyes. The 2010 racing season found Mammana
getting off to a slow start at the beginning of the season as the Big Diamond
Raceway track conditions proved to be a handful for much of the regular driving
roster as broken parts, blown tires and constant mayhem saw far too much
equipment being wrecked on the racetrack. Mammana did pick up a win on April 9th
at the speedway when he used an inside move to slip by Steve Hughes and drive
away to victory. Mammana was forced to sit out a couple of weeks when parts at
the shop became a bit scarce but when he returned to the speedway the results
were no illusion. The "Magic Man" rallied his low dollar-high impact team around
him and the top finishes began their upward swing. Mammana picked up his second
win of the BDR season when he drove from 16th starting place on August 13th to
take the lead away from Steve Hughes with a textbook "Magic Man" maneuver from
the outside on the 13th lap and drive away to victory. With one race remaining,
Mammana sat on top of the points chase by three points but with the turmoil on
the final night of points, eventually settled for 5th place when the final
points were tallied. The lone consolation to the drama that unfolded was the
fact Mammana captured the Sportsman Challenge at the speedway.
Even through the heartbreaking ending, Mammana enjoyed his best racing season to
date since joining the full size division ranks back in 2004. Mammana joined a
big field of rookie drivers just getting started in the racing business at the
Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey. Mammana took to the speedway immediately as
he enjoyed the sweeping turns and long shutes offered at the Bridgeport Speedway
and came away with the Rookie Championship in a great beginning to his racing
career. Mammana has moved around in subsequent seasons as he has competed at
Five Mile Point, Big Diamond, New Egypt, Selinsgrove, Penn Can, Grandview,
Hagerstown and Delaware and always makiing a good accounting of himself when he
takes to the speedway.
Mammana began competing at a tender age and forged a brilliant career in the
Go-Kart divisions as he scored close to one hundred wins while competing at many
of the top karting facilities up and down the East Coast. Mammana is a second
generation driver following in the footsteps of his father Pat, who too was a
capable campaigner on the old Nazareth-Harmony racing circuit.
Mammana will go to the post this season at Big Diamond with the completely
refurbished Pat and Linda Mammana Family owned race car from a season ago. The
2008 Bicknell race car was a showstopper one season ago with a great paint and
graphic scheme. The pristine race car was unveiled last season at the Third
Annual IRCO Sponsored Dirt Track Heroes Show in Phillipsburg, New Jersey and
once again the hardworking team will have the race car ready and buttoned up for
the Fourth edition of the show that will take place from March 6th until March
12th in the Phillipsburg Mall. Mammana has been a loyal show supporter since the
inception of the show and the popular campaigner is looking forward to the
upcoming show and the season ahead at Big Diamond. The needed horsepower for the
primary car will come from the well respected shops of Lou Morgantini. The
sponsor list is small but the loyal sponsors the team has in place have always
come up big for the low dollar team and they include Mammana's Automotive
located in Nazareth, Joe's Garage also in Nazareth, KMD Excavating from the
Garden State and Hoffman Speed and Supply, LLC from New Tripoli. The Mammana
team welcomes any new sponsor to the team for the season or as an associate
sponsor and anyone who may have the interest to be a part of a great group of
racers should contact the Mammana Family at: 610 837 9440 or: 484 223 7824.
Mammana will have a couple of options at his disposal just as he did a season
ago. Mammna will compete at the Grandview Thunder Series Sportman events aboard
the Ron and Marry Ann Plopts owned race car. The TEO Chassis/Van Horn powered
machine will also serve as a back-up in case of any emergency. The Walt Garrett
Jr owned 2A will be the weapon of choice for any of the ROC events or open show
the teams will travel too. The race car is a Bicknell Chassis race car and the
power is furnished by the Precision Engine Shops.
The Phillipsburg Mall 4th Annual IRCO Sponsored Dirt Track Heroes Show kicks off
on Sunday, March 6th with all tracks welcomed and a tribute to both the Nazareth
and Nazareth National Speedways as the CARQUEST Gasoline Alley Gang tapes their
popular racing show from the Mall site with a two hour edition from 1 until 3
PM. Mall hours run from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday and from 10 am to 9 pm from
Monday thru Saturday with nightly formats highlighting each day of the show. The
fourth edition of the show will end with the Harmony and Flemington Speedway
Historical Societies and the Dorney Park salutes on March 12th. For further

GA MOTORSPORTS MEDIA NEWS
Bethlehem, PA- Ricky Yetter Submits Admissible Evidence To Become First Official
Entry For 2011 Dirt Track Heroes Show
By: Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media
Juggling a hectic schedule that took him from court room law to the laws of
inertia, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania based attorney Ricky Yetter administered an
amazing turnaround to his racing fortunes in 2010 as the veteran campaigner was
able to march from 31st place in the Big Diamond Raceway point standings in 2009
to render a verdict that enabled him to climb 18 positions and finally rest in
13th place when the season came to a close. Along the way, "The Negotiator"
recorded a popular win at the speedway on June 11th, his first career win at the
speedway. Showing his versatility, Yetter took the law in his own hands and
rented a Slingshot hot rod from the Paul Lotier stables and went on to capture
the 50-lap Spring Fling at Shellhamer's Speedway that offered a sweet prize to
the tune of $2,000.00. All in all, the popular attorney/racer was well satisfied
with the results of last season's turnaround and is counting on building on to
his racing resume and step higher into the limelight with the upcoming 2011
racing season just around the corner.
Yetter is the first official entry into the Fourth Annual IRCO Sponsored Dirt
Track Heroes Show that will take place from March 6th until March 12th. Yetter
has been a loyal show supporter since the inception of the show and while he has
submitted one entry for the show already, depending on the progress of the team,
has indicated he just may place both of his entries into the show this year.
While the Big Diamond car has been retained for the new season, two racers in
the stable were sold during the off-season and replacing them will be a
sparkling new 2011 Bicknell mount. "The Negotiator" was genuinely happy with the
look of his race cars last season and once again the plan will be to "Go Green"
and the same number 5 numeral although Yetter has indicated both cars will
receive an entirely distinctive new look for the season ahead. Last season the
team switched to the number five as Yetter's son Colton Cash was born on
November 5th and the number and the green scheme were a part of the Yetter
success mechanism one season ago.
With the assistance of his dad and crew chief, the team has completely
refurbished last year's Teo Bow-Flex design chassis for the rigors of the
rumbling tough Pennsy raceway. To help speed things along, a refreshened Pat
Morrison powerplant will go between the rails for Yetter to negotiate his rides
to the top side of the Big Diamond track. Sponsorship for the team comes from
the Yetter Law Offices with Jim's Towing and Judy's Auto Repair providing
additional help for the Lehigh Valley based team to make the trek each week to
Big Diamond. As time permits, Yetter also has a Slingshot racer in his arsenal
of race cars to do some special shows when the time permits and is already
entered in the upcoming Gamblers Classic scheduled in Atlantic City at the end
of January.
After a successful career in the small car divisions, Yetter moved into the
Modifieds in 2000 racing with the late Bill Riehl for two season at the now
defunct Mocatek facility. Taking some time off from racing to earn his Law
Degree, Yetter returned to the racing wars in 2004 with his own racing equipment
and has been competing with the Modifieds ever since. Yetter has recorded wins
at the Redline Raceway, Afton Speedway, Big Diamond Raceway and Shellhamers
racetracks in the past and has competed at Thunder Mountain, Five Mile Point,
Accord, Grandview, New Egypt, Shellhamers, Atlantic City, Hamlin and the Big
Diamond race tracks in his career as a driver.
Yetter is a graduate of the Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and
received Cum Laude honors from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. He is
accredited for Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Admissions and provides expertise
in Collection, Contracts, DUI and Criminal, Family Law, Real Estate and Wills
and Estates among the many services from his Bethlehem Offices. Yetter raises
the bar in 2011 as he is running for magisterial district Judge covering Wilson
Borough, West Easton Borough and the 7th and 8th Wards of the City of Easton.
Yetter was born and raised in Wilson Borough and is seeking to fill the seat
that became vacant when the Honorable Michael J Koury, Jr was elected as Judge
to the Court of Common Pleas in 2009. of the 03-2-12 Districts. Yetter began his
own practice in 2004 after initially working with attorney Raymond DeRaymond.
With his tossing of his hat into the political ring, Yetter is fully aware the
election may restrict the amount of racing he will do in 2011 but his positive
outlook and his strong work ethic to be able to separate both entities will keep
him moving forward whether it is racing or the judgeship he pursues in his
immediate future.
For further information regarding the Yetter Law Office and the many services
provided, contact them at: 610 253 8948 or go to the Yetter website at:
