RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES 2010
URC ENDS SUCCESSFUL SEASON WITH SEVENTEEN DIFFERENT WINNERS
The sixty-third season of the Rislone URC Sprint Series is history and without a doubt, it was a very successful season. There are numerous leading stories that developed in 2010, but the fact that URC delivered seventeen different feature winners in twenty-three events and six fist time winners, pretty much explains the level of competition within the organization. Another fact is
that the top four spots in the season long Rislone URC point chase were decided at the last race.
Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE inched out winning his seventh URC title in one of the most hard fought point battles in the sixty-three year history of URC. With just a twenty-three point advantage, Curt Michael earned the championship crown over defending champion JJ Grasso who finished second in the point battle. For car owner Bill Gallagher and the entire team of the Valley Forge
INC 5G, it was their second time winning the coveted URC Owner's title.
The point battle for the title was highly contested, and the fight for third in points was in a near dead heat as well going into the final event. But it was Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA who narrowly claimed third in points over a determined Justin Collett. Also enjoying a successful season was Robbie Stillwaggon who was impressive the entire season and finished in the fifth spot of
the season long point chase.
The season started off with Trevor Lewis winning the opening event at the Bridgeport Speedway. By the third race of the URC season, Lewis, driving the Scott McClaren owned sprinter already had two wins. The early story appeared to be that Trevor Lewis may be the man to beat. Lewis won his third feature on August 7 but elected to do some 410 sprint car racing rather then chase the URC
Championship.
By mid-August, Lewis and JJ Grasso each had three wins, but the turning point of 2010 really took hold on August 14 when Curt Michael won his first URC feature of the season at the Lincoln Speedway. Consistency and the fact that the Valley Forge Inc sprinter finished every URC event in 2010, was going to be the factor that would soon deliver the URC Championship to this team. Curt
scored his second URC win of the year, this victory coming at the Georgetown Speedway on September 5 and the battle was underway for the title.
In the last nine point races of the season, Michael scored two wins, seven top five finishes a tenth and an eleventh which was all very critical toward winning the championship. The battle between Michael and Grasso was so evenly matched, that they both earned the Fred's Trailer Parts Hard Charger award five times during the season. Each night a driver earns the Hard Charger award,
they pick up an additional five bonus points.
The 2010 season also saw the level of competition spike up at the challenge events. Trevor Lewis won the Jack Gunn Memorial in typical style, beating Pat Cannon on the final lap to pocket the $3,500 first place prize money. Aaron Ott won the URC sanctioned event at Williams Grove on August 5 as Daryn Pittman won the Rislone Nationals the following night at the Grove, earning $4,000.
Mark Smith won the Challenge event at the Grove on August 27 and World of Outlaw driver Randy Hannigan beat out Daryn Pittman to win the New York Challenge URC sanctioned event at Weedsport on October 8.
Plans are already underway for the 2011 Rislone URC Sprint Series and dates are already being booked.
Saturday, December 4 will be the Rislone URC Awards Banquet to take place at the Lancaster Host Grand Ball Room. More information on the Banquet will be posted on the URC website shortly. Please visit us at: www.urcsprints.com

NEWS FROM: RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES
TWENTY-THREE POINT ADVANTAGE EARNS BILL GALLAGHER AND CURT MICHAEL 2010 RISLONE
URC TITLE
It all came down to just twenty-three points in one the closest point battles in
URC history, and when the dust settled, the 2010 Rislone URC Sprint Series title
was well earned by car owner Bill Gallagher and driver Curt Michael.
For Gallagher, it marks his second URC championship as Curt Michael racks up an
impressive seventh URC title. Consistency was the key and since Curt Michael of
Ocean View, DE first came to URC, he has clearly been Mr. Consistency.
Repeatedly he can get the job done by avoiding the crashes and always placing
himself in the right position at the right time. For the crew of the 5G led by
Sean Michael, their flawless maintenance program kept their driver in the point
chase hunt from the outset.
URC's defending champion the "Jersey Jet" JJ Grasso had an impressive season as
well winning four features on URC's twenty-two race schedule and finishing a
strong runner-up in the title chase.
The point battle for third and fourth was up for grabs as well going into
Weedsport Friday night. Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA earned the third spot
bragging rights, beating out Justin Collett by just three points. Rounding out
the best of URC's top five was Robbie Stillwaggon, earning his career best
finish in the season long URC point chase.
In the mini-series point chase, Bill Gallagher and Curt Michael won the Taylor &
Messick Delaware State Sprint Series. They also won the Fred's Trailer Parts New
Jersey/New York Series, beating out Grasso with just a three point advantage.
The Valley Forge Inc Pennsylvania Sprint Series saw Grasso take the title with
Curt Michael second.
The battle between Michael and Grasso was fast and furious all season long, in
fact, URC offers on a nightly basis. the Fred's Trailer Parts Hard Charger
Award. The Hard Charger each night collects and extra $50 but even more
important, the team earns an additional five points. Both Michael and Grasso
picked up the bonus five times during the season which was worth, an additional
twenty-five points.
The 2010 Rislone URC Sprint Series was extremely competitive even beyond the
battle of Michael, Grasso, Weller and Collett. In the twenty-two race series,
sixteen different drivers visited victory lane. The only drivers to earn more
then one win were JJ Grasso (4), Trevor Lewis (3) and Curt Michael with two.
Thirty-four different drivers won the URC heat race events of 2010.
Six of those sixteen drivers earned their first career win with URC and that
list includes Andy Best, Daryn Pittman, Bill Unglert, Mark Smith, Jonathan
Swanson and Randy Hannigan.
Six premier increased purse events were scheduled for 2010, however rain
eliminated the two day weekend at Rolling Wheels. The four big money events were
won by Trevor Lewis at Selinsgrove on May 15, Daryn Pittman at Williams Grove on
June 4, Mark Smith at Williams Grove on August 27 and Randy Hannigan at
Weedsport on October 8.
The Race Fans Direct Chip Reward program was once again a popular activity this
year. As in the past, drivers and owners earn a chip every time they participate
in a car show, promotional activity, an autograph session or send out a press
release. At the season end URC Awards Banquet, Race Fans Direct will conduct a
drawing with one lucky winner earning $500 in cash. The more promotion events
you do, the better your chances of winning. In total, twenty-seven drivers took
part in one hundred and three activities including many autograph sessions at
intermission at the various URC race tracks on race night. This activity not
only promotes the URC organization but the driver, car owner and team sponsors.
It also develops a strong connection between the drivers and race fans. JJ
Grasso led all competitors taking part in seventeen promotional events.

In the URC point chase, JJ Grasso began the night with a twenty point advantage
over six time champion Curt Michael. The turning point for Grasso came on lap
thirteen when third place runner Kramer Williamson blew a motor on the
homestretch. The slowing sprinter car triggered a twelve car crash in turn one
that involved Grasso who lost his top and front wing. The BK Leasing #99 was
repaired enough to restarg the race but they never were a factor finishing
fifteenth.
The Bill Gallagher owned Valley Forge INC sprinter driven by Curt Michael did
exactly what they had to do. Michael started fourth and finish fourth in the
feature event, collecting the necessary points to earn the championship. For car
owner Bill Gallagher, this marked his second URC Owner Championship and he heard
the news of winning the title via phone at his Valley Forge, PA. Bill was unable
to attend the races tonight, not feeling 100% up to the trip to New York. For
Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE, it was his seventh URC Championship.
A field of forty-seven 360 sprint cars took part in the New York 360 Sprint
Challenge. DirtCar Representative Cory Reed was absolutely thrilled with the
quality field of 360 sprints, the crowd on hand and the well run show. Heat race
winners include Chuck Hebing, Tim Kelly, Curt Michael, Randy Hannigan as the two
"B" Main events winners were Josh Weller and Robbie Stillwaggon.
In the twenty-five lap New York 360 Sprint Challenge, Daryn Pittman set the
early pace taking charge from his pole starting position. Pittman and Hannigan
were the front runners then Chuck Hebing moved into the picture. On lap eleven,
Hebing passed Hannigan for second. Hannigan refused to give up, fighting back
for the runner-up spot. As Hebing entered turn one on lap twelve, he spun,
tagged the wall and flipped over the Jersey barriers, exiting the speedway in
turn one. Hebing walked away uninjured.
On the restart, Pittman, Hannigan, Kramer Williamson, Blake Breen and Curt
Michael made up the top five. The field completed lap thirteen when the motor
blew on the Kramer Williamson sprinter, creating a multi-car pile up that
included JJ Grasso and Kevin Nouse along with ten other sprint cars.
The field did restart with Pittman on point followed by Hannigan, Curt Michael
Steve Poirier and Jessica Zemken. On lap seventeen Poirier passed Michael for
third with Jessica Zemken now in chase of the leaders.
With five laps remaining, it appeared that Pittman was home free but when the
two laps to go sign was displayed, Hannigan was certainly closing on Pittman. On
the final lap, Hannigan was in the right place at the right time and made the
pass around Pittman to take the checker flag.
Hannigan took the win, his first with URC to become the sixteenth different URC
winner this season. Pittman finished second followed by Steve Poirier, Curt
Michael and Jessica Semken.

SWANSON MOVES INTO TOP TEN WITH URC WIN, GRASSO SECURES VALLEY FORGE INC
PENNSYLVANIA SPRINT SERIES
With just one point race remaining on the Rislone URC Sprint Series, Jonathan
Swanson moves into the top ten in the point chase with his victory Saturday
night at the Big Diamond Raceway. For Swanson, it was his first career win and
it was far from easy as Josh Weller challenged for the lead from lap eight to
the drop of the checker flag on lap twenty-five. For Weller, his second place
finish moved him into the third place of the season long point chase.
Defending URC Champion and four time winner this season, JJ Grasso inched into
the point lead, holding just a twenty point advantage over six time champion
Curt Michael. The season long championship will be decided on Friday night at
the Weedsport Speedway.
Grasso finished fifth on Saturday night at Big Diamond and along with the season
long lead in points, he also locked up the 2010 Valley Forge INC Pennsylvania

RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES
WILLIAMSON LOOKING FOR A URC WIN BEFORE SEASON END
Kramer Williamson of Palmyra, PA is looking to reverse a very long winless
streak. The former URC Champion currently hold sixty-six career URC wins and
ranked third on URC's all time career win list, trailing Glenn Fitzcharles with
eighty-one wins and Dave Kelly with seventy-six wins. But for Williamson, it's
been a long time since he last parked in victory lane. In fact, it was 2007 and
a good year for man that drivers the pink sprint car, that we have come to know
as the "Pink Panther".
In the 2007 season, Williamson won three features, two at the Delaware
International Speedway and his third and final win came at the Hagerstown, MD
Speedway on August 18. His three wins that season tied eventual season long
champion Curt Michael who also won three URC features that season. Williamson
ended the season long campaign fourth in the final point chase.
2007 was also a season of different winners as twenty drivers shared the URC
victory lane podium that year. It was the year that both JJ Grasso and Davey
Sammons earned their first career URC win.
As Kramer would say, enough with looking back, it's time to look forward. In
2010, Kramer Williamson was enjoying a career rebound. Firmly planted in the top
ten in points most of the season, he was delivering consistent finishes. On
Saturday night, September 4th at the Delaware International Speedway, Williamson
was impressive, finishing a solid and strong second place finish. Williamson and
his Pink Panther were fast. The following night, URC invaded the Georgetown
Speedway and Williamson was fast once again. Unfortunately, a malfunction with
the steering sent Williamson into a spin, off the speedway and into the tree
line that borders the highway.
Kramer was confident that the feature was his on this night, but a long ride on
the wrecker back to the pits will be the standing memory of Georgetown.
Again, it's time to look forward as Kramer Williamson and his Armorboard
Packaging #73 head to the Delaware International on Saturday night, September
25. The momentum is strong and the success is near and Kramer is looking for
that visit to the victory lane just one more time before the close of 2010. His
sponsorship support is behind him as well and joining Armorboard is Pepsi-Cola
with thanks to Chris Bashore, Boyer Signs and representative Brian Boyer and
Bruce Rambler of Rambler Automotive also of Palmyra. JR Shocks in North Carolina
and Chubby of CnB Mushroom have also come to the support of Kramer Williamson
over the years.
Kramer's crew includes Jason Simmons, the newest addition to the team and his
magic is quickly showing on the track. Also on the team is Cliffy Irvn, a very
dedicated crew member since 1997. Of course, Kramer's daughter Felecia is also
there to offer a hand and takes care of attending the driver's meeting, preps
the radio, confirms the line-up and buckles dad firmly to the Panther. Kramer's
son Kurt acts as crew chief whenever he gets the opportunity to attend the URC
events. His schedule is very busy as he works with Steven Wallace and Bryon
Gaughan RWI (Rusty Wallace Inc.) on the Nationwide Series. With Dover running on
the September 25 weekend, Kurt will be pit side at Delaware International to
hopefully guide the Pink Panther to victory lane.
The Rislone URC Sprint Series will be in action at the Delaware International
Speedway on Saturday, September 25. This will mark the twentieth URC event of
the season and fourteen different drivers have won URC events this season. For
more information, please visit URC at : www.urcsprints.com<http://www.urcsprints.com>.

BIG FIELD EXPECTED FOR NEW YORK SPRINT CHALLENGE EVENT AT WEEDSPORT FRIDAY
NIGHT, OCTOBER 8th
Four race dates remain on the Rislone URC Sprint Series for 2010 including the
New York Sprint Challenge set for Friday night, October 8th at the Weedsport
Speedway. This event is sanctioned by the URC (United Racing Company) sprints
and has in the past, attracted record car counts anywhere from fifty to as many
as seventy sprint cars for this block-buster one day show.
In 2010, this popular sprint event will move from the Rolling Wheels Raceway to
the Weedsport Speedway and shift from Saturday night to Friday night. Heat race
events and "B" Main Qualifiers will determine the minimum twenty-four car
starting field in the $3,000 to win twenty-five lap main event. URC competitors
will have no easy task on this night as the best sprint car drivers of New York
will also be in the field. The New York Sprint Challenge event could very well
determine the 2010 URC Champion as Curt Michael and JJ Grasso are in a virtual
dead heat for the title, with Michael holding a slight advantage.
The big field of cars for the New York Sprint Challenge always makes qualifying
the biggest hurdle of the night. In the words of past URC champion Kramer
Williamson, "This is an event you need to qualify for, long before you can even
think about winning it. "
For the URC drivers, their next event is set for the Delaware International
Speedway on Saturday night, September 25 followed by a visit to the Big Diamond
Raceway on Saturday night, October 2nd. It's off to Weedsport, NY on Friday,
October 8th for the New York Sprint Challenge and the final point race of 2010
for URC.
The Rislone URC Sprints will close out their season on Saturday night, October
16th as they take part in the Grandview Thunder 5-25's, a feature only event
(non-point race) that will get underway at 6 PM.

CURT MICHAEL DOMINATES TO WIN RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES FEATURE SUNDAY NIGHT AT
GEORGETOWN ON TAYLOR & MESSICK NIGHT
For the second time in 2010 Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE won the 25 lap
Rislone URC sprint car feature event. The win Sunday night came at the
Georgetown Speedway on Taylor & Messick Night. For Michael, the win also moved
him and car owner Bill Gallagher in the point lead for the 2010 URC title
chase. It was Michaels forty-fourth career URC win, taking the lead from
Robbie Stillwaggon on lap ten. The win was worth $2,000 plus the valuable
points towards the season long URC Championship.
Twenty-two cars took part in the racing program with heat race victories going
to Randy West, Robbie Stillwaggon and Becca Anderson.
In the twenty-five lap feature, Robbie Stillwaggon se the early pace followed by
Randy West and Tim Hogue. Curt Michael was on a charge and moved into third on
lap five. A caution flag on lap nine for Scott Pursell, opened the door for
Michael. When the green flag fell, Michael powered by Stillwaggon and quickly
established a solid lead.
At the halfway point, Michael was leading followed by JJ Grasso, the point
leader at the start of the feature event. Stillwaggon ran third with Josh
Weller fourth and charging as Tim Hogue finished fifth. On lap sixteen, the
second and final caution of the race was displayed for Randy West who spun in
turn four. On the restart, Michael took off leaving Grasso to struggle as he
lost power steering. This opened the door for Josh Weller to move into second
followed by Stillwaggon and Hogue. Grasso quickly faded and dropped out of the
top ten.
Meanwhile at the front of the pack, Michael was leading but Josh Weller was
cutting into that commanding lead. Weller ran out of time as Michael took the
checker flag in convincing style. Weller was second followed by Stillwaggon,
Justin Collett and Tim Hogue.
FEATURE FINISH: Curt Michael, Josh Weller, Robbie Stillwaggon, Justin Collett,
Tim Hogue, Becca Anderson, Kevin Nouse, Rory Janney, Art Liedl, Eddie Wagner,
Randy West, Jonathan Swanson, JJ Grasso, Tim Higgins, Joe Zuczek, Kevin Darling,

BECCA ANDERSON WINS ON TAYLOR & MESSICK NIGHT SATURDAY AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL
SPEEDWAY
Becca Anderson of Houston, DE scored her first win of the season and tenth
career win Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway for the
eighteenth race of the 2010 Rislone URC Sprint Series. Anderson was URC's
fourteenth different winner of the season collecting $2,000 for the win.
Anderson is also looking at a $500 bonus posted by CnB Mushrooms, if she can
sweep the weekend by winning the URC event on Sunday night at the Georgetown
Speedway. Both races this weekend are point races for the season long Taylor &
Messick Delaware State Sprint Series. Anderson ran an awesome race but luck did
go her way on lap fourteen when race leader Josh Weller tangled with a lapped
car and displaying the yellow. Anderson inherited the lead at that point driving
the Dave Bett's owned sprint and ran uncontested to the win.
A field of twenty-six URC sprint cars turned out for the program with heat race
wins going to Art Liedl, Josh Weller and Rory Janney as Eddie Wagner won the "B"
Main.
In the twenty-five lap Rislone URC sprint feature, Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA
gunned to the lead at the drop of the green flag. Six time URC Champion Curt
Michael charged from his twelfth starting position to cross the line in sixth as
the field completed the first lap.
With three laps down, the caution was displayed for Mike Kostic who stopped with
a flat tire. Weller set a blistering pace as the race restarted and was chased
by Art Liedl, Becca Anderson and Kramer Williamson.
The yellow flag was again displayed, this time for a multi-car mix-up involving
Randy West, Jonathan Swanson, Tim Higgins and Andy Best.
On the restart, it was all Weller but now Becca Anderson was in second and
Kramer Williamson third. The turning point of the race came on lap fourteen when
Justin Jones, a lapped car, tangled with race leader Josh Weller in turn three.
The yellow was displayed with both Weller and Jones requiring a hook to return
to the pits. An outstanding and dominating ride by Weller had come to an end.
When green flag racing resumed, Becca Anderson was on point with Kramer
Williamson now in the chase. Curt Michael ran third followed by JJ Grasso and
Justin Collett. Anderson maintained a comfortable lead over Williamson so he
never challenged for the top spot. Williamson held the same distance over
Michael in third as Grasso and Collett followed in the top five.
The top five remained unchanged for the final laps with Becca Anderson easily
taking the win.
FEATURE FINISH: Becca Anderson, Kramer Williamson, Curt Michael, JJ Grasso,
Justin Collett, Rory Janney, Robbie Stillwaggon, Kevin Darling, Tim Iulg, Fran
Hogue, Joe Zuczek, Eddie Wagner, Scott Pursell, Midge Miller, Josh Weller,

URC/358 CHALLENGE AT WILLIAMS GROVE FRIDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 27, TITLE CHASE IS
TIGHT!
The Rislone URC Sprint Series will return to the Williams Grove Speedway this
Friday night for their final visit of 2010. The Rislone URC Sprints will
team-up with the Central Pennsylvania 358 sprints for the Challenge at the
Grove. An open draw will determine the heat race starting line-ups and like
the regular URC events, your heat race finish will determine your starting
position in the 25 lap $2,200 to win feature event. This format makes the heat
race events not only exciting, but very rewarding as the heat race winners earn
the top three starting positions in the main event.
The Rislone URC Sprint Series point chase is in a heated battle between
defending champion JJ Grasso and six time former champion Curt Michael. As
Grasso and Michael take the top two rankings in URC, Justin Collett, Josh
Weller, Kevin Nouse, Randy West, Robbie Stillwaggon, Art Liedl, Kevin Darling
and Kramer Williamson are also among the best of URC in 2010. Along with the
URC talent, look for Pat Cannon, Blane Heimbach, Davie Franek, Mark Smith,
Jessica Anderson, Aaron Ott and Brian Montieth to be possible entries for the
Challenge at the Grove. For more information on this event, please visit
www.urcsprints.com and under the Competitors page, you will find all the details
and payoff for this event.
So far in 2010, the Rislone URC Sprint Series has completed sixteen events with
five rain outs. Like most divisions in our sport, due to the economic impact,
URC's has seen a slight dip in car count over the past two weeks. A
contributor may very well be the number of URC events in August including a
three race weekend from August 5 - 7. One thing for sure, there has been an
influx of top name drivers choosing to compete is selected URC events.
URC had three first time winners this season to include Andy Best, Daryn Pittman
and Bill Unglert. Aaron Ott scored his second career win with URC this season
and on Saturday night at the Selinsgrove Speedway, Blane Heimbach was the
winner, taking his third career URC win.
Drivers enjoying a great season with URC include Justin Collett, driver of the
John Pinter owned sprinter. Collett has one win this season and currently is
third in the point chase. The Wild Child Josh Weller has one win and sits
fourth in points and Kevin Nouse, looking for his first win of the season is
fifth in points driving the Elmer Stoltzfus sprinter. Just outside the top
five in points is Robbie Stillwaggon, hot off a solid sixth place finish
Saturday night at Selinsgrove. Randy West in the Fred Kennedy sprinter is
seventh in points followed by Kevin Darling who is ranked eighth. Making up the
top ten is Art Liedl and Jonathan Swanson.
Jason Clauss of Boyertown, PA, a weekly URC competitor a few years ago, made
his first showing with URC this season at Selinsgrove. Clauss powered home a
strong eighth place finish. Clauss plans to be with URC this coming weekend at
Williams Grove.
URC Rookie Driver Tim Iulg of Bridgeton, NJ delivered a tenth place finish at
Selinsgrove. Friday night at the Bedford Speedway, Iulg had a possible top
five finish going until mechanical problems stopped him on the speedway.
In sixteen events, URC has twelve different feature winners. Only JJ Grasso
and Trevor Lewis have more than a single win. Both Grasso and Lewis have
three wins this season.

BLANE HEIMBACH TRIUMPHS WITH LATE RACE PASS FOR THE LEAD TO SCORE THIRD CAREER
RISLONE URC SPRINT FEATURE SATURDAY NIGHT AT SELINSGROVE
Selinsgrove, PA . . . . Blane Heimbach of Selinsgrove, PA waited
until lap nineteen to take the lead from Josh Weller then went on to score the
win in the Valley Forge INC twenty-five lap Rislone URC sprint feature Saturday
night at the Selinsgrove Speedway. For Heimbach, it was his first URC win of
the season and third career feature win. Heimbach started eleventh and ran a
flawless race holding off Davie Franek on the final lap to take the victory.
URC heat race winners were Kevin Nouse, Josh Weller and Kevin Darling.
Kevin Nouse and Josh Weller brought the URC sprint car field down for the green
flag with Weller getting the jump going into turn one. Nouse, , Becca Anderson
and Jonathan Swanson kept the pressure on Weller in the early going. By lap
six, local favorite Blane Heimbach moved into the top five and one lap later,
he passed Swanson for fourth.
The first caution was displayed on lap nine when third place runner Kevin Nouse
stopped on the homestretch. On the restart, Weller continued to set the pace
with Anderson second and Heimbach third. Things quickly started to heat up as
Heimbach moving into second on lap seventeen. At the same time, Davie Franek
slipped by Anderson to move into third. Heimbach now had the task of reeling
in race leader Josh Weller and holding off a fast and closing Davie Franek. On
lap nineteen, the final lead change took place as Heimbach went to the front and
Franek followed in second.
With one lap remaining the yellow was displayed for Becca Anderson who stopped
on the homestretch.
With a green and checker one lap shoot out, Heimbach had to hold off a
determined Franek who made a last lap, last turn run for the lead. Heimbach
drifted high off turn four and Franek took his shot. At the wire, it was
Heimbach first with Franek second as Josh Weller, JJ Grasso and Curt Michael
followed in the top five.

ROOKIE DRIVER BILL UNGLERT CAPTURES CAREER FIRST URC WIN FRIDAY NIGHT AT BEDFORD
SPEEDWAY
Bedford, PA . . . ."it was just a long, long race", commented URC Rookie
Driver Bill Unglert of Old Bridge, NJ after scoring his first career Rislone
URC Sprint feature win on Friday night at the Bedford Speedway. Unglert led
the entire twenty-five laps but was pressured the entire race by some of URC's
best. Several caution flags and even a red flag on lap twenty-two brought the
talent to the rear bumper of the Unglert sprinter, but there was no successful
challenge even offered to the leader. The cautions made the race seem much
longer to eventual winner Bill Unglert, but he handled the restarts more like a
successful veteran then a rookie with URC in 2010. This event was also part of
the season long Valley Forge Inc Pennsylvania Point Series.
URC heat race events were won by Unglert, Becca Anderson and Art Lidel. The
Audi Shop thirteenth place bonus went to Chris Weiss as the Fred's Trailer
Parts Hard Charger Award went to Curt Michael who started fifteenth and advanced
thirteen spots to finish second.
In the twenty-five lap feature, Bill Unglert jumped to an early but the caution
was displayed as a flat tire forced Josh Weller to stop in turn two. On the
restart, Unglert again set the pace followed by Art Liedl and Rory Janney.
Becca Anderson driving the Dave Bett's owned sprinter moved into third with JJ
Grasso fourth on lap four. Tim Iulg enjoying a solid ride and racing in
seventh stopped on lap six displaying the caution.
With ease and grace, Unglert set a blistering pace on the restart as he was
chased by Liedl, Anderson, Grasso and Justin Collett who was delivering a strong
run. On lap seven, both Anderson and Grasso passed Liedl they had their shot
to go after the leader. Although they tried, Unglert maintained a solid lead
even with the new challengers.
At the halfway point of the race, Unglert, Anderson, Grasso, Collett and Curt
Michael made up the top five. The battle for second started to tighten and on
lap sixteen, Grasso moved into second. Before the lap was completed, Anderson
regained the runner-up spot but only after contact with Grasso in turn four.
Michael, took the opportunity to complete the two car pass, slipping by both
Grasso and Anderson to move into second.
Grasso now in fourth, made contact with the third turn wall and stopped on lap
sixteen displaying still another caution flag. With extensive damage to the
Palladino sprinter, Grasso retired to the pits. Under the same caution, Becca
Anderson was moved back two spots for inconsiderate on the track driving.
It was restart time and Bill Unglert was up to the call as the green flag fell
on lap nineteen. Curt Michel now in second, had his chance to battle the
rookie but Unglert was up to the challenge and quickly established an eight to
ten car length lead.
The red flag was displayed on lap twenty-two, this time for Chris Weiss who
flipped in turn three. Weiss reported that he was OK after taking a hard
tumble.
With still another restart at hand, Bill Unglert led the field down for the
green flag. Curt Michael, was now in the hunt and racing second as Unglert
took off with a blast. Over the final three laps, Unglert remained in strong
command, extending his lead to at least ten car lengths over Michael.
Unglert ran nearly twenty-five perfect laps to pocket the $2,000 winner's share
of the payoff. Curt Michael, delivered a strong run to finish second after
starting fifteenth. With motor problems earlier in the night, Justin Collett
and car owner John Pinter finished a strong third with Kevin Nouse, the
defending winner of this race finishing fourth with Becca Anderson fifth.
FEATURE FINISH: Bill Unglert, Curt Michael, Justin Collett, Kevin Nouse, Becca
Anderson, Art Liedl, Tim Hogue, Jonathan Swanson, Kramer Williamson, Robbie
Stillwaggon, Josh Weller, Randy West, Chris Weiss, Rory Janney, JJ Grasso, Tim

weekend that will be part of the Valley Forge INC Pennsylvania point series.
On Friday night, the Rislone Sprints will be action at the Bedford Speedway.
Defending race winner Kevin Nouse driving the Elmer Stoltzfus sprinter may very
well be the man to beat on the big half mile. The following night, Saturday,

point men will be looking for that win as well. Defending URC Champion JJ

CURT MICHAEL CHARGES FROM TENTH TO SCORE FIRST URC WIN OF 2010 ON VALLEY FORGE
INC NIGHT AT LINCOLN SPEEDWAY
Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE charged from his tenth place starting position
to take the lead on lap eleven and ran uncontested to win the 25 lap Rislone URC
Sprint feature Saturday night at the Lincoln Speedway. For Michael, it was his
first win of the season and his forty-third career URC victory. The win for
Michael came on a night that was sponsored by his sponsor Valley Forge Inc and
car owner Bill Gallagher was on hand for the impressive victory. Michael also
picked up valuable points in chase of a seventh URC title, as he reels in
current point leader JJ Grasso who finished a strong third in the feature.
A field of twenty-seven URC sprint cars turned out for the fourteenth events of
the Rislone Series with heat race victories going to Jimmy Stitzel, Trevor Lewis
and Rory Janney as Kevin Darling won the "B" Main.
Jimmy Stitzel led the field into turn one at the start of the twenty-five lap
feature, but the yellow was displayed at Trevor Lewis spun in turn two. On the
restart, Stitzel led the first lap with Justin Collett taking the lead on lap
two. Collett quickly established a solid lead with Stitzel following in
second and Kramer Williamson third. Robbie Stillwaggon began his climb to the
front, passing Williamson on lap six.
The turning point of the race started with a caution flag on lap eight when the
yellow flag was displayed for Kevin Nouse who stopped on the homestretch. On
the restart, Collett set the pace with Curt Michael now racing in second as
Robbie Stillwaggon, Jimmy Stitzel and Nick Schlauch Jr (who started 16th) were
now in a battle for third. With ten laps in the books, Stitzel, Stillwaggon
and Schlauch Jr tangled in turn one with Stitzel and Schlauch Jr flipping. The
red was displayed and all drivers walked away uninjured.
On the restart, Collett moved to the top of the speedway opening the door for
Curt Michael to make a strong run off turn four to take the lead. At the
halfway point, Michael held a solid lead over Collett with Janney third,
Williamson fourth and current point leader JJ Grasso now in the top five. By
lap fifteen, Grasso was fourth and two laps later, he was third.
As Grasso was making his way to the front, Curt Michael was now coming up on
slower traffic, while still maintaining a comfortable lead over Collett. in
the closing laps, Grasso did inch in on Collett as Michael established a lead
that was not to be challenged.
With the checker flag waiving, Curt Michael took the win over Justin Collett, JJ

RISLONE URC POINT CHASE TIGHTENS, GRASSO LEADS AS CURT MICHAEL INCHES CLOSER
AFTER THIRTEEN EVENTS
URC's defending champion and current point leader JJ Grasso will roll into the
Lincoln Speedway this Saturday night with just a sixty-eight point advantage
over runner-up Curt Michael. In URC competition, points are awarded for heat
race and feature finishes so every spot counts.
Grasso from Pedricktown, NJ well known as the "Jersey Jet", is a fan favorite
for his exciting and always "on the edge of your seat" driving style. On
Saturday night during the Bridgeport Speedway banner night competition, many
race fans displayed banners for JJ Grasso. After thirteen URC events this
season, Grasso driving the Palladino/BK Leasing #99 own three wins, and the
point lead. At Bridgeport, Grasso finished second in the twenty-five lap URC
sprint car feature after Trevor Lewis made the winning pass on the last turn of
the final lap. Finishing third was Curt Michael, URC's six time champion, who
can almost smell a seventh championship.
Like a lion hunting its' prey, Michael is using his experience, lap by lap, to
reel in Grasso. At one point of the season, Michael was fourth in the title
chase. Curt now sits in the runner-up spot and is well aware of how to collect
points, after all, he is a six time champion, winning five title consecutively.
Driving the Bill Gallagher owned Valley Forge INC sprinter, Michael is reaching
his hot point of the season and, he won this event one year ago at Lincoln.
While Grasso holds three wins so far this season, Curt Michael is still looking
for his first win of 2010, and he would love to pull off that victory at Lincoln
Speedway, a track where he enjoyed much success throughout his career.
So the battle continues. The young and exciting JJ Grasso and the well
experienced veteran Curt Michael have ten races (or so) remaining to settle the
title. With that said, let's not count our Justin Collett who sits third in
the point chase, trailing Michael by just one-hundred and eleven points as
fourth place Josh Weller is just forty-three points behind Collett. Sitting
fifth in the point chase is Kevin Nouse, fifty-three points behind Weller.
The title chase is just that close. History would point us in the direction of
Grasso or Michael winning the title, but it's still too early to count out
Collett, Weller or Nouse.
Other drivers enjoy great season in 2010 include Randy West in the Fred's
Trailer Parts #56. After an impressive win at the New Egypt Speedway, West is
sixth in points. Robbie Stillwaggon is looking for his first win of the season
and is ranked seventh in the point chase. Three time feature winner this
season Trevor Lewis is eighth in points over Kevin Darling and Art Liedl to
round out the top ten.
The Rislone URC Sprints will head to the Lincoln Speedway this Saturday night
where the title battle will continue.

FRED'S TRAILER PARTS NEW JERSEY SERIES CONTINUES. . . . .
LEWIS MAKES LAST LAP PASS ON GRASSO, SCORES IMPRESSIVE RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES
FEATURE WIN SATURDAY NIGHT AT BRIDGEPORT
This was as good as a race could get!
The Rislone URC Sprint Series ended a string of three consecutive nights of
racing on Saturday night at the fastest track on the URC Series, the Bridgeport
Speedway in Bridgeport, NJ. At the end of a wild twenty-five lap feature event,
Trevor Lewis driving the Scott McClaren owned sprinter, made a last move on
race leader JJ Grasso entering turn three. Charging off of turn four, Lewis had
the advantage and took the win, his third of 2010 and nineteenth career win for
the driver from Upper Black Eddy, PA.
A field of twenty-eight sprint cars took part in the program with heat race
victories going to Jonathan Swanson, Bill Unglert and Trevor Lewis as Nick
Schlaugh, JR took the win in the "B" Main.
Twenty-five cars started the twenty-five lap Rislone Sprint Series feature
event and Jonathan Swanson quickly placed himself as the head of the pack at
the drop of the green flag. Bill Unglert followed in second with Robbie
Stillwaggon now in third. The first and only red flag of the event came on lap
three for Scott Pursell who flipped in turn three. Scott did walk away
uninjured.
On the restart, Swanson continued to set the pace but now the "Jersey Jet" JJ
Grasso moved into second followed by Robbie Stillwaggon. On lap six Grasso
became the new race leader and quickly established a comfortable lead. Deeper
in the pack was Trevor Lewis who was on his way to the front and racing in the
top five by lap seven.
Grasso, Swanson, Stillwaggon, Lewis and Josh Weller were the top five with six
time URC Champion Curt Michael just outside the top five but in the chase.
At the halfway point of the race, Lewis moved into second but Grasso was far
ahead with a comfortable lead.
With five laps remaining, Lewis had Grasso in his sights, Weller was third,
Michael fourth and Stillwaggon fifth. This feature was setting up for a
classic finish as Grasso was now racing with slower traffic and Lewis was
coming. On lap twenty-two, Curt Michael moved into third with Weller and
Stillwaggon rounding out the top five.
The white flag was waiving and Grasso held about a twelve car length lead with
the heavy foot of Trevor Lewis buried deep and hard on the gas. On the final
lap heading into turn three, Grasso looked to the far outside of the lapped cars
as Lewis charged to the low side. Lewis had the advantage off of turn four and
took the checker flag with Grasso delivering a strong second place finish.
Curt Michael rallied home with a solid third place finish followed by Josh
Weller and Robbie Stillwaggon.

VALLEY FORGE INC NIGHT GOES OVER BIG AT THE GROVE . . . . . . .
DARYN PITTMAN POCKETS $4,000 AND FIRST URC RISLONE SPRINT NATIONALS VICTORY
FRIDAY NIGHT AT WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY
Daryn Pittman made short work of a big and very talented field to collect
$4,000 for his victory in the twenty-five lap URC Rislone 360 Sprint Nationals
at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night. Pittman led the entire
twenty-five lap distance to score the win. Aaron Ott (2009), Kenny Adams
(2008), Ed Aikin (2007) and Pat Cannon won the inaugural running of this event
in 2006 and now Pittman joins the roster of talent on the past winners list.
On several occasions, Pat Cannon moved close enough to challenge Pittman for
the lead but with each challenge, Pittman fought back stronger and stronger to
eventually earn the win.
Pat Cannon set the fastest time of the forty-two car field, stopping the clocks
at 18.301. The four heat race winners were Pat Cannon, Curt Michael, Mark
Smith and Randy West as the "B" Main victory went to Becca Anderson.
At the start of the twenty-five lap Rislone Sprint Nationals, the red was
displayed before the completion of lap one for Aaron Ott who flipped in turn
three when his top wing collapsed. When green flag racing resumed, Pittman
led the field into turn one with Pat Cannon and Trevor in the chase. Also on
a charge was Mark Smith who was up to fourth and looking to advance into the
top three.
At the halfway point of the race, Pittman remained in control over Cannon,
Smith, McIntyre and Blane Heimbach. On lap twenty-two, the final caution of the
race was displayed when a two car tangle involving Bryn Gohn and Bill Unglert
was displayed. No one was hurt in this mix-up.
With green flag racing once again underway, Pittman had the field covered as he
ran to hide from the competition. Cannon, Smith, McIntyor and Heimbach
followed in the top five.
For Pittman, it was an impressive wire-to-wire victory and the $4,000 in cash
was well appreciated. Pat Cannon finished second followed by Mark Smith,
Jerard McIntyre and Heimbach.

BIG CROWD FILLS THE STANDS, FORTY-TWO SPRINTS FILL THE PITS AS AARON OTT WINS
THE KASEY KAHNE FOUNDATION OLLIE'S BATTLE AT THE GROVE THURSDAY NIGHT
A big crowd filled the Williams Grove Speedway grandstands on Thursday night as
the Kasey Kahne Foundation Ollie's Battle at the Grove took center stage. The
event sanctioned by the United Racing Company, attracted an impressive field of
forty-two 360/358 sprints cars that filled the pits and included NASCAR stars
Kasey Kahne and Tony Stewart. After time trials, qualifying heat race events
and a dash, Aaron Ott of Mechanicsburg, PA collected the $3,000 first place
prize after taking the lead from Curt Michael, who led the first thirteen laps
of the 25 lap feature event. Kasey Kahne finished tenth as Tony Stewart
finished eleventh.
Pat Cannon set fast time of the night as heat race victories went to Aaron Ott,
Blane Heimbach, Trevor Lewis and Tony Stewart as Jerard McIntyre Jr. won the "B"
Main. Blane Heimbach won the dash with Pat Cannon second to earn the front
row in the twenty-four car starting field for the Ollie's Battle at the Grove.
A false start at the drop of the green of the feature event brought the starting
field back. As a result of the false start, Heimbach and Cannon were moved to
the second row, advancing URC six time Champion Curt Michael and Daryn Pittman
to the front row. At the drop of the green flag, Michael of Ocean View, DE
immediately took the lead as Pat Cannon followed in second with Pittman third.
Michael continued to set the pace but lap after lap Cannon just kept working the
bottom groove of the raceway. Pittman stayed within striking distance of the
front runners, carefully planning his next move.
On lap six the yellow was displayed for Trevor Lewis who tagged the fourth turn
wall and came to a stop. On the restart, Michael resumed the lead spot with
Cannon and Pittman on his rear bumper. As the field crossed for the halfway
sign, there was a four battle for the lead, as Michael, Cannon, Aaron Ott and
Pittman were racing under a blanket as Mark Smith rounded out the top five. The
pressure was on and in one sweeping move, Ott passed both Cannon and Michael to
become the new race leader. Ott quickly ran to hide from the rest of the field
as Michael was left to battle off Cannon and Pittman.
Cannon made the move for second on lap sixteen and began his attempt to reel in
Ott. At the same time, Pittman made the pass on Michael to take over third.
Ott, Cannon and Pittman set a blistering pace but now all eyes were watching
Kasey Kahne and Tony Stewart as they were battling for a top ten finish.
Cory Haas brought out a yellow on lap twenty-three which gathered the field
for an exciting green, white and checker feature finish.
With the green flag waiving to restart the feature, Ott ran to hide from the
field as Cannon and Heimbach followed. Michael changed his strategy from
chasing down Pittman to holding off Mark Smith. With the checker flag
displayed, Ott collected the $3,000 payday over Pat Cannon, Daryn Pittman, Curt
Michael and Mark Smith. Rounding out the top ten were Jerard McIntyre Jr.,
Blane Heimbach, Alan Krimes, Kramer Williamson and Kasey Kahne.
Ollie's Challenge at the Grove 25 laps: Aaron Ott, Pat Cannon, Daryn Pittman,
Curt Michael, Mark Smith, Jerard McIntyre Jr., Blane Heimbach, Alan Krimes,
Kramer Williamson, Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart, Kyle Moody, Jessaca Anderson,
Robbie Stillwaggon, JJ Grasso, Scott Geesey, Josh Weller, Bryn Gohn, Cory
Haas, Kyle Purks, Davey Sammons, Kevin Nouse, Trevor Lewis, Midge Miller.
The URC Rislone Sprint Series will return to the Williams Grove Speedway on
Friday night for the Rislone URC 360 Sprint Challenge paying $4,000 to the
winner. On Saturday night, the URC sprints will be in action at the Bridgeport
Speedway in Bridgeport, NJ.

URC TO OPEN THREE RACE WEEKEND THURSDAY NIGHT AT WILLIAMS GROVE
With ten Rislone URC Sprint Series events in the books for 2010, a busy three
race weekend is on the schedule and it all gets underway Thursday night at the
Williams Grove Speedway. URC is the sanctioning body for the Kasey Kahne
Foundation/ Ollie's Battle at the Grove on Thursday night. Although this is not
a URC point race, many of the top drivers of URC are expected to be in the field
including point leader and defending URC Champion JJ Grasso, six time Champion
Curt Michael, Justin Collett and Josh Weller. A $3,000 payday will go to the
winner of this unique specialty event on the URC schedule. The following
night, URC will again be at the Williams Grove Speedway for the $4,000 to win
Rislone 360 Sprint Nationals.
Friday night will mark the fifth running of the Rislone Nationals and past
winners include Aaron Ott (2009), Kenny Adams (2008), Ed Aikin (2007) and Pat
Cannon won the inaugural running of this event in 2006. The Rislone Nationals
offers the best payoff of the season for the competitors of URC, paying $4,000
to the winner, $1,000 for tenth with $300 being offered just to take the green
in the twenty-five lap feature. Along with URC's top brass, expect to see
some of the Williams Grove locals jump in a 360 sprint for this event. Possible
entries include Mark Smith, Brian Montieth and defending winner Aaron Ott.
On Saturday night, the Rislone URC Sprint Series moves to the Bridgeport
Speedway. URC opened their 2010 campaign at Bridgeport on April 10 and Trevor
Lewis was the feature winner.
The season long point chase is very tight and with two of the three events this
weekend offering points, a lot can happen. The Jersey Jet, JJ Grasso hold the
point lead but close in the chase is URC's top point chaser Curt Michael. Also
very close in the running is Justin Collett in the John Pinter owned sprinter
along with URC's "Wild Child" Josh Weller. Randy West, Robbie Stillwaggon,
Kramer Williamson, Kyle Purks Scott Pursell and Nick Schlauch Jr are just some
of the talent that will be in the field at the Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday
night.

VIPER FUEL JOINS ON TAYLOR & MESSICK NIGHT. . . . .
JJ GRASSO POCKETS $2,500 IN THRILLER SATURDAY NIGHT AT DELAWARE
INTERNATIONAL, EARNS 50TH CAREER URC OWNERS WIN FOR KATHY & PAT PALLADINO
JJ Grasso of Pedricktown, NJ once again added spice to an already exciting
Rislone URC sprint feature on Saturday night at the Delaware International
Speedway, winning his third feature of the season, in his typical stand on the
gas style. It was the third win of the season for Grasso and for car owners
Pat and Kathy Palladino, this victory marked their fiftieth car owner victory in
URC. It was a joyous victory ceremony with champagne spraying in victory lane.
Grasso, threading his way through traffic in high, wide and handsome style,
took the lead on lap sixteen of the twenty-five lap feature and went on to
collect the $2,500 first place prize. Viper Fuel added an additional $1,000 to
the payoff with Grasso earning $500 of the bonus for the victory. Justin
Collett earned and additional $250 of Viper money along with Becca Anderson,
Kevin Darling, Kramer Williamson and Robbie Stillwaggon each earning an extra
$50 courtesy of Viper.
A field of twenty-seven URC sprint cars turned out for the tenth event of the
season with heat race victories going to Andy Best, Kevin Darling and Tim Hogue
as Jimmy Stitzel earned the win in the "B" Main.
In the feature event, Tim Hogue set the pace at the drop of the green flag. As
the second lap was completed, the yellow was displayed when Justin Jones spun in
turn two. The following lap, the yellow fell once again, this time for Chris
Weiss who spun.
When green flag racing resumed, Tim Hogue remained the pace setter with Kevin
Darling in the chase. On a charge was Becca Anderson along with Kevin Nouse.
With five laps complete, Hogue was the leader followed by Darling, Anderson,
Nouse and Curt Michael.
By lap nine, six time champion Curt Michael moved into third with JJ Grasso
fourth. Grasso made the move past Michael on lap twelve and set his sights on
the leaders. Randy West brought out the final caution of the race on lap
sixteen, stopping in turn four.
On the restart, Hogue had the lead with the fast company of JJ Grasso and Curt
Michael hot on his heels. Going into turn on, Grasso took the lead and
Michael followed in second as Hogue, Josh Weller and Becca Anderson made up the
top five.
Grasso maintained a comfortable lead over Michael as the action was shaping up
for third. Weller passed Hogue for third and then began to reel in Michael.
Kevin Nouse was on a charge and moved into the top five on lap nineteen.
In the final laps, Grasso was approaching slower traffic but managed to maintain
his lead over Michael. In the meantime, Weller moved closer to Michael. With
the white flag waiving, Weller was now within striking distance of Michael in a
battle for second.
With the checker flag waiving, Grasso took the win over Michael, Weller, Hogue
and Kevin Nouse.

BECCA ANDERSON COMES HOME TO DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT
Becca is back! For the race fans in the state of Delaware, they'll be treated
to the return of Becca Anderson this Saturday night at the Delaware
International Speedway when the Rislone URC Sprint Series makes their fourth
stop of the season. The popular gal out of Houston, DE is a nine time feature
winner with URC and on Saturday night, she will strap into the Dave Betts owned
#22. Anderson will pilot this ride for a few weeks or until regular driver
Chris Coyle, returns to the cockpit.
Anderson took her first ride in the Betts sprinter this past weekend at the
Rolling Wheels Raceway. Although the weekend was a washout, Becca did compete
in the Saturday night warm-up/time trial session. With no pre-warm-up seat time
in the Betts sprinter, Anderson set eighth fastest time of forty-nine drivers, a
very impressive start for this newly organized team.
Heading to the Delaware International Speedway this Saturday night, Becca
Anderson is very familiar with the track and truly loves to perform for her home
town fans.
Becca Anderson and Dave Betts may be the headline story going into the Delaware
International Speedway this Saturday night, but the competition will be tough.
In the three previous Delaware International events, Justin Collett, Andy Best
and JJ Grasso were the winners. Grasso put on a show at the last Delaware
International event, starting fourteenth and taking the lead just four laps from
the checker flag to earn the win.
Justin Collett of Middletown, DE is enjoying one of his best season ever,
currently ranked second in points driving the John Pinter owned sprint car.
Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE and six time URC Champion is third in the Rislone
URC point chase. Michael is one of the best point racers and knows the secret
of consistency that is needed in claiming the championship at the end of the
season.
The sleeper and one driver to watch is URC's "Wild Child" Josh Weller.
Currently ranked fourth in points (and he missed one event this season due to
mechanical problems) is a threat at every event. Last weekend at the Rolling
Wheels Raceway, Weller set fast time of the forty-nine car field and has one
feature win in URC competition this season.
Another driver to watch is Randy West of Boyertown, PA. Driving the Fred
Kennedy owned #56, West is currently ranked fifth in the title chase and hot off
an impressive win a few weeks back at the New Egypt Speedway.
There is no doubt that Becca Anderson will have her hands full on Saturday
night, but we've seen her do it before and there's no doubt that she will be in
the thick of battle when the checker flag is waiving.

RAIN STOPS FAST TRACK SPRINT SUMMER SHOOT OUT SATURDAY NIGHT AT ROLLING WHEELS
A huge disappointment as rain once again fell on the Rolling Wheels Raceway
Saturday night, cancelling the second night of the Fast Track Sprint Summer
Shoot Out. A field of forty-nine quality 360 sprint cars turned out for the
Rislone URC sanctioned event.
URC's Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA turned in the best time of the night,
stopping the clock on the five-eighth mile at 17.795. Steve Poirier, Trevor
Lewis, Bryan Howland and Jason Barney rounded out the top five in time trials.
Five heat race events were scheduled with the first three heat wins going to
Blake Breen, Justin Barger and Trevor Lewis. The heavy rain moved in just at
the completion of the third heat. After a thirty minute delay, track
management was forced to cancel the event. The Rislone URC Sprints will return
to New York on Friday night, October 8th for the $3,000 to win New York Shoot
Out at the Weedsport Speedway.
URC will next be in action at the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday

MR. TWISTER, MARK BITNER TAKES RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES VICTORY ON VALLEY FORGE
INC NIGHT AT LINCOLN SATURDAY
The Rislone URC Sprint Series made their first stop of 2010 at the Lincoln
Speedway on Saturday night as the Valley Forge INC Pennsylvania Sprint Series
continued. Mark Bitner of Trenton, NJ took the lead from Nick Schlauch Jr on
lap four and never looked back. For Bitner it was a convincing win, surviving
several cautions including a yellow on lap twenty-three of the twenty-five lap
feature event to collect the $2,000 first place prize money. For Bitner, it
was his first win of the season and third career victory with URC.
Before the first lap of the feature could be completed, the yellow was displayed
for an eight car mishap entering turn one. Pole setter Rory Janney spun
entering the turn and collected seven our sprint cars. On the restart, Holland,
PA driver Nick Schlauch Jr set the space with Mark Bitner and Justin Collett
in the chase. On lap five, Schlauch turned over the top spot to Bitner as he
ran from the rest of the field .
Deep in the pack, Curt Michael and JJ Grasso were in a battler to break into the
top five, then on lap nine, the previous URC feature winner Randy West came to a
stop in turn two, again bringing out the yellow flag.
On the restart Bitner, Schlauch and Justin Collett continued to hold down the
top five as Curt Michael and JJ Grasso were on their drive to the top five. As
the field crossed for the halfway sign, Bitner and Schlauch were one and two
with Josh Weller in third as Justin Collett and Curt Michael made up to the top
five.
On lap twenty-three, the final caution of the night was displayed for Chris
Weiss who stopped in turn two. On the restart and with just two laps
remaining, Bitter settled in to take on all challengers, but he ran uncontested
to the victory.
Following Bitner to the Lincoln Speedway victory lane was Nick Schlauch with
Josh Weller, Kevin Nouse and Curt Michael making up to the top five.

JULY. . .
FAST TRACK 360 Sprint Shoot Out at Rolling Wheels Quickly Approaching
The forecast of heavy rain most of the day on Saturday, forced the management of
the Bridgeport Speedway to cancel their scheduled racing event that included the
Rislone URC Sprints. Randy West of Boyertown, PA won the URC feature last
Saturday night at the New Egypt Speedway and was looking for a double. West will
have to wait until next Saturday night, July 17 when URC heads to the Lincoln
Speedway.
A busy two day URC weekend is on tap July 23rd and July 24 at the Rolling Wheels
Raceway with The Fast Track 360 Sprint Car Summer Shoot out. The Friday night
event will offer the attractive URC weekly payout of $2,000 to win the 25 lap
feature event. The following night will be The Fast Track 360 Sprint Summer
Shoot out Final, paying $3,000 to the winner. The Rislone URC Sprint Series will
close out the month at the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night,
July 31.
The two-day Fast Track 360 Sprint Shoot out is sanctioned by the United Racing
Company, but the field of competitors will stretch far and beyond just the best
of URC. A field of more then sixty 360 sprint cars are expected for this first
time ever, mid-summer sprint car shoot out. In the past, Rolling Wheels was the
long time home of the New Sprint Challenge event held during Super DIRT weekend.
That event now moves to the Weedsport Speedway as the Rolling Wheels Raceway
welcomes the two day Fast Track 360 Sprint Shoot out.
Opening night of the Fast Track Sprint Shoot out will offer heat race
qualifying, two "B" main events and a $2,000 to win 25 lap feature and $200 to
take the green. This event is open to all 360 sprints and an open draw will
determine the starting line-ups for the heats. Tow money of $75 will be paid to
all non-qualified cars. For URC, this event will offer a 50 point minimum.
The following night, Saturday, July 24 the sprint cars will complete in group
(warm-ups) timed qualifying to determine the starting line-ups for the heat race
events. The Fast Track Sprint Shoot out Finale will pay $3,000 to the winner, a
minimum of $250 to take the green and tow money of $75 for non-qualified cars.
Rolling Wheels is the place to be July 23 and July 24 for this first time
mid-summer sprint spectacular. See the best 360 sprint car drivers all at one
track, to include JJ Grasso, Trevor Lewis, Randy West, Josh Weller, Justin

FRED'S TRAILER PARTS NEW JERSEY SERIES CONTINUES. . . . . . .
RANDY WEST EARNS THIRD CAREER RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES WIN SATURDAY NIGHT AT
NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY
Randy West of Boyertown, PA ran a flawless twenty-five laps to win the Rislone
URC Sprint Series feature event on Fred's Trailer Parts Night at the New Egypt
Speedway Saturday night.
But the win didn't come without an anxious moment.
After leading for twenty-four laps, second place runner JJ Grasso, looking for
his third consecutive win, made a bold move, momentarily taking the lead from
West in the fourth turn on the final lap. Grasso took the lead in turn four but
opened the inside lane for West to regain the top spot and take the victory.
Grasso, who never disappoints the crowd finished second with Justin Collett
third. It was a wild last lap that earned West the $2,000 first place prize.
A field of twenty-eight URC sprint cars took part in three heat race events that
were won by Jonathan Swanson, Scott Pursell and JJ Grasso with Kyle Purks taking
the win in the "B" Main.
Twenty-five cars started the twenty-five lap feature but before the first lap
was completed, the yellow was displayed for Bill Unglert who spun in turn two.
On the restart, Randy West charged from his fourth place starting position to
take the lead followed by Kenny Meisner. Trevor Lewis brought out the second
caution on lap three when he spun.
With the green flag waiving,, West quickly put some distance between himself and
Meisner as Justin Collett began to reel in the top two. As the race
continued, West was still the pace setter at the halfway mark followed by
Meisner, Collett, Josh Weller and Grasso. The third caution of the event was
displayed on lap fifteen, this time for Kevin Darling.
When green flag racing resumed, West remained the man to beat and the top five
remained un-changed. On lap eighteen, Grasso passed Weller to take over
fourth. On lap twenty-one the last and final caution of the race was displayed
for Kevin Nouse and Chris Coyle who tangled in turn one.
A five lap shootout to the checker flag was set and on the restart, Grasso
passed Weller for third and began to reel in Collett.
With just two laps remaining, Grasso passed Collett for second and set his
sights on the leader. Grasso moved closer to West as he set up for the last
lap attempt. Going into the third three with great momentum, Grasso dove to the
inside then slid in front of West to take the lead. Grasso was unable to hold
the spot and continued his slide to the high side of the speedway, opening the
door for West to regain the lead and earn the win. Somehow, Grasso managed not
to spin out and regained control to earn a fan pleasing second place finish.
Justin Collett finished third followed by Josh Weller and Kenny Meisner.

PALLADINO RACING APPROACHES 50TH URC CAREER WIN MILESTONE
Pat and Kathy Palladino are looking to achieve a milestone on Saturday night,
July 3rd when the Rislone URC Sprint Series invades the New Egypt Speedway.
Since coming to URC, Palladino Racing has forty-nine career wins and that was
accomplished with four different drivers. Curt Michael delivered the most wins
to the Palladino Team taking the checker flag twenty-five times. Curt's brother
Sean scored thirteen URC wins for Kathy and Pat as current driver JJ Grasso
parked the #99 in victory lane eight times. Trevor Lewis scored three of the
forty-nine victories for Team 99. In addition to the many wins, Kathy and Pat
Palladino are the first URC car owners to earn six championship titles.
Saturday night, July 3 the Rislone URC sprint series will be in action at the
New Egypt Speedway, a favorite track for their driver JJ Grasso. At this time,
Grasso the defending Rislone URC Champion is also the point leader and hot off
two consecutive wins coming at the Grandview and Delaware International
Speedway. Grasso is looking for a "hat trick" when URC invades New Egypt.
Ironically, the first win for Kathy and Pat came at the New Egypt Speedway with
Sean Michael driving the car in 1999. Since that time, they competed in 273
sanctioned URC events.
JJ Grasso leads the point chase by just seventy-five points over six time URC
Champion Curt Michael. Expected Rislone URC sprint car entries for Saturday
night at New Egypt Speedway include Justin Collett, Robbie Stillwaggon, Chris
Coyle, Davey Sammons, Josh Weller, Kevin Nouse and Randy West to name a few.

TWO CONSECUTIVE WINS PLANTS GRASSO IN RISLONE URC POINT LEAD
There is still a long season ahead, but after seven events on the 2010 Rislone
URC Point Series, JJ Grasso sits in the top spot of the season long point
chase. Grasso of Pedricktown, NJ has won the last two URC events as the series
moves to his favorite track, the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night, July
3rd. Grasso holds a seventy-five point advantage over runner-up Curt Michael of
Ocean View, DE who is a six time URC Champion and a master at collecting those
valuable points to each the overall URC Championship title.
The point chase is far from over and a safe prediction is nowhere to be found.
Justin Collett driving the John Pinter owned URC sprint car is ranked third and
positioned to sweep in and take the point lead on any given night. Robbie
Stillwaggon is enjoying one of his best seasons yet, currently ranked fifth in
the point battle.
The Rislone URC Sprint Series has confirmed the return of the Kasey Kahne
Foundation sprint car race at the Williams Grove Speedway on Thursday night,
August 5. The following night, Friday, August 6 will find URC returning to
Williams Grove for the $4,000 to win Rislone Nationals.

URC RACE RESULTS FROM DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL
June 20, 2010
TAYLOR & MESSICK DELAWARE STATE SPRINT SERIES CONTINUES . . . . . .
JJ GRASSO JETS FROM FOURTEENTH TO VICTORY IN URC RISLONE SPRINT SERIES FEATURE
EVENT SATURDAY NIGHT AT DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL
Defending Champion and current Rislone URC Sprint Series point leader JJ "The
Jersey Jet" Grasso was the class of the field Saturday night at the Delaware
International Speedway winning the 25 lap feature on Taylor & Messick Night.
Grasso squeezed out a fifth place finish in his heat race, earning him the
fourteenth starting spot in the feature field line-up. Grasso wasted little
time moving the Palladino #99 through traffic moving into the top five by lap
ten. In a planned and calculated move on lap twenty-two, Grasso passed a strong
running Davey Sammons to take the lead. For the final four laps, Grasso set a
blistering pace to score his second win of the season and fourteenth career win
under the URC banner.
Heat race events were won by Kevin Nouse, Mike Kostic and Davey Sammons and the
twenty-four car starting field was set to drop the green flag.
Kevin Nouse and Mike Kostic made-up the front row in the twenty-five lap URC
sprint feature. At the drop of the green flag, Nouse jumped to the early lead
with Davey Sammons taking solid control of second with Kevin Darling third.
Sammons wasted little time in going after Nouse to stage a battle for the
lead. On lap five, the first caution was displayed when Nick Schlauch Jr spun
in turn one.
On the restart, Nouse again set the pace with Sammons still very close in the
chase. Six time URC Champion Curt Michael was now in the top five and chasing
down the leaders. As the field passed for lap ten, Sammons took the lead and
never looked back. The yellow came out on lap eleven, this time for Mike
Kostic who spun in turn four.
The field re-grouped and Sammons once again mastered the field followed by Kevin
Nouse and JJ Grasso, now in third.
As the field passed for the halfway sign, Sammons was the pace setter followed
by Nouse, Grasso, Kevin Darling and Curt Michael. On lap fourteen, Grasso and
the Palladino #99 set their sights on Sammons who was holding a ten to twelve
car length lead. Grasso slowly began to reel in Sammons as the two front
runners approached slower traffic. By lap seventeen, it was a Sammons and
Grasso show, then on lap twenty-two, Grasso made the move of the race to take
the lead. Before lap twenty-three was completed, the yellow flag was
displayed for Randy West who cut a tire and stopped in turn two, displaying the
yellow flag for the final time of this event.
The green flag fell to restart of the three lap shoot out, but Grasso quickly
moved away from the rest of the field, leading the final three laps to collect
the URC victory. Sammons delivered a great ride to finish second followed by
Kevin Nouse, Kevin Darling and a fast closing Josh Weller who nipped Curt
Michael on the final lap for fifth.

RISLONE URC SPRINTS HEAD TO DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SATURDAY NIGHT, JUNE 19
With six Rislone URC Sprint Series events now in the books, the excitement has
be plentiful. One thing for sure, no one has been running away with the show.
Trevor Lewis was red hot early in the season winning two of the first three
shows and remains the only two time winner this season. Justin Collett driving
the John Pinter owned sprinter won his first URC show of the season on April 17
and is off to one of his best seasons ever. 2009 Rookie driver Andy Best
pulled off an upset win at the Delaware International Speedway on April 29,
winning the 25 lap Rislone feature event.
Josh Weller was pretty much untouchable at the Georgetown Speedway earning his
first win of the season. Saturday night at the Grandview Speedway, Weller
delivered another strong ride finishing second. Defending URC Champion JJ
Grasso won his first URC feature of the season Saturday night at the Grandview
Speedway after being involved in a heat race accident.
A show stopper performance was delivered by Curt Michael at Grandview. After
qualifying through the "B" main, Michael passed an impressive nineteen cars to
finish fifth.
Going into Delaware International on Saturday night, Grasso is the Rislone URC
point leader over Curt Michael, Justin Collett, Trevor Lewis and Randy West.

JJ GRASSO IMPRESSIVE IN URC WIN AT GRANDVIEW SATURDAY NIGHT, CURT MICHAEL
ADVANCES NINETEEN SPOTS FOR TOP FIVE FINISH
With the threat of Mother Nature about to throw a thunderstorm at the Grandview
Speedway, the Rislone URC Sprint Series did manage to complete their show on
Saturday night. It was a thriller that saw the "Jersey Jet" JJ Grasso rebound
from a heat race crash to score his first win of the 2010 season. For six time
URC Champion Curt Michael, motor problems in his heat race sent his Valley Forge
INC Bill Gallagher owned sprinter to the pits early. A quick motor change and
Curt Michael finished sixth in the "B" Main. In the feature event, Michael
advanced nineteen spots to finish a solid fifth. And there was no doubt that
with five additional laps, Michael might have been in the hunt for the win. Of
course, to get to Grasso, Michael needed to pass Mertztown, PA driver Josh
Weller who was ever so fast in the closing laps. Grasso, URC's point leader
delivered a storybook finish for car owners Kathy and Pat Palladino. For
Grasso, it was his first URC win of the season and thirteenth career win.
A field of thirty Rislone URC Sprint cars turned out for the program with heat
race victories going to Randy West, Kevin Darling and Chris Weiss as Art Liedl
was the winner of the URC "B" Main event.
At the start of the 25 lap main event, Randy West was the early race leader with
the first caution being displayed on lap two when Kenny Meisner and Bill Unglert
tangled and spun in turn. On the restart, West once again took command, this
time holding off the challenges of Kevin Darling and Chris Coyle.
The caution was again dropped, this time on lap four when a multi-car crash took
out Trevor Lewis who took a slow roll. Back to racing and Randy West was the
pace setter with Chris Coyle in the chase By lap eight, Grasso was second and
now had to bottle with West for the lead. It took only three laps for the
"JET" to catch and pass West for the lead. On lap eleven, Coyle passed West
to earn the runner-up spot.
With the halfway sign being displayed, Grasso was thrilling the fans, racing
high, wide and handsome up against the outside boiler-plant. Coyle followed in
second with West third, Justin Collett fourth and the "Wild Child" Josh Weller
racing in fifth. Weller began to steal the show as he advanced to third on
lap eighteen. One lap later, Weller was third and in the hunt of Grasso. In
the meantime, Curt Michael moved into the top after qualifying through the
consolation.
Grasso held a commanding lead, but brought the crowd to their feet when he
slammed the fourth turn wall as he was approaching lapped traffic. Grasso
rebounded and completed the final two laps to take the win. Josh Weller
delivered a very impressive second place finish followed by Chris Coyle, Randy
West and Curt Michael. Making up the top ten were Robbie Stillwaggon, Tim
Hogue, Kevin Darling, Kyle Purks and Andy Best.

news is, both rain out events have found another date on the Rislone URC
schedule. The Rislone 360 Sprint Nationals will now take place on Friday
night, August 6 and a complete URC sprint series event will now take place at
the Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night, August 21.
Looking to the coming weekend, the Rislone URC Sprints will make their first
appearance of the year at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, June 12.

to win twenty-five lap feature event. This event will be a point race on the
very competitive URC Rislone championship chase as well as the Valley Forge INC
Pennsylvania Point Series.
Trevor Lewis of Upper Black Eddy, PA is the current URC point leader over
defending champion JJ Grasso, Justin Collett, Curt Michael and Davey Sammons.
In five events so far on the URC Rislone sprint series, Lewis is a two time
winner joined by Justin Collett, Andy Best and Josh Weller who each have a

A BAD START, ENDS GOOD FOR SPRINT STAR TYLER WALKER, CRAIG WHITMOYER WINS
NON-STOP SPORTSMAN FEATURE IN THUNDER ON THE HILL SEASON OPENER
For the twenty-first season and ninety-second event of the NAPA Auto Parts
Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presented by COMDIAL Telephone Communications
and Lee Myles, the race fans were once again treated to a thriller at the
Grandview Speedway. The always exciting Tyler Walker of Los Angeles, CA began
his night with a hard hit to the third turn wall that ended in a series of
flips. And that's how his night started in warm-ups. But when the checker flag
fell at the completion of the 35 lap Keystone Cup Sprint Series opener, it was
Walker doing donuts on the homestretch and back-flips in victory lane as he
collected the $5,000 first place prize money. The race provided a storybook
finish for Walker. Also on the program was the Sportsman stock cars and Craig
Whitmoyer took the win after a fierce battle with Brad Grim in their 20 lap
feature that went non-stop.
The 410 sprints opened the program with time trials as Daryn Pittman set fast
time of 11.889 for the one third mile high banked oval. Three heat race events
were presented with victories going to Mark Smith and Lance Dewease. After
crashing in warm-ups, a disappointed Walker pulled his back-up Keen Motorsports
sprinter from the trailer and without an opportunity to warm-up the second car,
he went on to win the third heat.
In their 35 lap feature event, Greg Hodnett, the defending Thunder on the Hill
Series Champion led the first lap after two restart attempts. As the field
completed lap two, Ryan Taylor flipped, displaying the red flag. On the restart,
Hodnett was the pace setter followed by Chad Layton and Stevie Smith. The yellow
flag was displayed on lap five, this time for Doug Esh.
On the restart, Hodnett was still in command over Layton and Smith with Lance
Dewease now in the battle, racing in fourth. A caution on lap eleven for Steve
Petry slowed the field once again. The restart saw Hodnett battling with Layton
as Smith, Walker and Dewease made up the top five.
By lap fourteen, Hodnett was on point with Tyler Walker in second followed by
Layton, Smith and Dewease. Stevie Smith went to the top of the track and moved
into second on lap sixteen. One lap later, Smith made a bid for the lead using
the high groove, but Hodnett was up to the challenge as the field passed for the
halfway sign. Suddenly the top five shuffled again on lap nineteen as Hodnett
held the lead with Walker in second and Dewease in third. Smith followed in
fourth with Daryn Pittman now in fifth. The shuffling was far from over.
Hodnett had his hands full with Walker using every inch of the speedway, looking
for a lane to pass. On laps twenty-five and twenty-six, Hodnett and Walker
crossed the line in a near tie. Finally, on lap twenty-seven, Walker wrestled
the lead from Hodnett. Dewease was now running a solid third and he made up
ground as Walker and Hodnett battled for the lead. It was shaping up to be a
three car race for the lead. Then Daryn Pittman moved into the mix to make it
even more interesting.
In the closing laps, Walker extended his lead to take the win over Greg Hodnett
with Lance Dewease in third. Fred Rahmer made a late race rally to finish fourth
with Daryn Pittman making up the top five.
A field of thirty-seven Sportsman Modifieds turned out for their first even on
the Thunder Series. Heat race winners include Doug Hendricks, Kyle Weiss, Justin
Holland and Mike Loney. Two consolation events were presented with victories
going to Mick Petrilak and Ray Woodall Jr.
The field of twenty-four Sportsman Modifieds took the green flag wit Kevin Smith
setting the early pace. Brad Grim was challenging for the outset and on lap six,
he became the new leader. Then Craig Whitmoyer was on a run, now racing in
second followed by Mike Loney. Grim and Whitmoyer battled lap after lap, then on
lap fourteen, Whitmoyer became the new leader.
One lap later, Grim was again on top to lead laps fifteen and sixteen before
turning the lead over to Whitmoyer on lap seventeen. Whitmoyer set the pace for
the final four laps to earn the win, his first ever under the Thunder on the
Hill banner. Following Whitmoyer to victory lane was Brad Grim, Mike Loney,
Justin Holland and Kyle Weiss.

THE "WILD CHILD" JOSH WELLER LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE FOR RISLONE URC SPRINT VICTORY SUNDAY NIGHT AT GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY
Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA was the winner Sunday night at the Georgetown Speedway in the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint feature. In the racing circles, Weller is known as the "Wild Child" and he certainly lived up to that name as he dominated the entire night of racing. Weller won his heat, set the fastest one lap time of the night then led the entire twenty-five laps to
pocket the $2,000 first place prize money on Taylor & Messick Night at Georgetown.
A field of twenty-nine URC sprint cars turned out for the racing program with heat racing victories going to Weller, Kevin Darling and Davey Sammons as Robbie Stillwaggon took the win in the URC "B" Main.
An extremely fast racing surface made the start of the feature event just a little wild as Art Liedl took a tumble going into turn one. On the restart, Kevin Nouse flipped entering turn one and the red flag was displayed.
On the restart, Josh Weller set the pace followed by Kevin Darling and Davey Sammons with six time URC Champion Curt Michael racing in fourth. Chris Coyle was on a charge along with Trevor Lewis. Coyle moved into fifth on lap three and quickly began to chase down Curt Michael. On lap ten, Coyle moved into fourth and set his sights on Sammons who was racing in third.
On lap eleven, the yellow was displayed when second place runner Kevin Darling spun into the backstretch. On the restart, Weller once again ran to find from the field . As the field crossed for the halfway sign, Weller, Sammons, Coyle, Trevor Lewis and Curt Michael were now the top five. Race leader Josh Weller had his hands full as he quickly came up on lapped traffic. But in
his own exciting style, the "Wild Child" easily and comfortably worked his way through traffic.
Lap eighteen saw Trevor Lewis move into third and he set his sights on the runner-up spot, being held by Sammons. Also on a charge was defending URC Champion JJ Grasso who was now running in sixth. As the final five laps went off, Weller remained in solid control to claim the victory, his first win of the season and third career victory under the URC banner. Trevor Lewis rallied home
second followed by Davey Sammons, Chris Coyle and Curt Michael.

2009 ROOKIES SHINE. . . .
ANDY PROVES HE'S THE BEST OF URC SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
Andy Best of Dover, DE had his dream come true Saturday night at the Delaware International Speedway, after winning the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint feature that is part of the Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series. For Best, it was his childhood dream to win a URC feature and everything fell perfectly into place at URC's fourth race of the season. A rookie with URC in
2009, it was ironic that his two biggest threats for the win were also 2009 rookie drivers, Jonathan Swanson the early race leader and Eddie Wagner, who raced in third most of the feature event. It was 2009 URC rookie sweep with Andy Best taking the win over Jonathan Swanson and Eddie Wagner. Making up the top five were Justin Collett and six time URC Champion Curt Michael.
A strong field of thirty-three URC sprint cars took part in the racing program with heat race victories going to Swanson, Best and Wagner as Kevin Darling won the twelve lap "B" Main.
In the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint feature, Jonathan Swanson was the early race leader followed by Andy Best and Eddie Wagner. Swanson quickly ran to hide from the rest of the field as Best and Wagner settled in to run second and third. It was a mad dash to the front as drivers like Curt Michael, JJ Grasso, Trevor Lewis and Davey Sammons started the feature outside of the top
twelve starting positions.
A very fast speedway saw the URC sprint cars racing at top speed and even at the halfway point, the brass of URC was still not in the top five. As the crossed flags were displayed, the top five running order was Swanson, Best, Wagner, Nick Schaluch Jr, and Justin Collett, with Swanson and Best in a battle for the lead.
On lap sixteen, the yellow flag was displayed for Randy West and Jimmy Stitzel who tangled in turn four, on the restart, Swanson and Best locked into battler and with a strong run off turn four, Best took the lead. By lap seventeen, Curt Michael moved into fifth with JJ Grasso and Davey Sammons on a charge. Sammons started last due to mechanical issues earlier in the night, but he
was on his charge and inside the top ten.
With the checker flag waiving on lap twenty-five Andy Best scored the win, his first ever under the URC banner. Jonathan Swanson delivered an impressive second with Eddie Wagner third. After Wagner crossed the finish line, motor problems were evident as the sprinter coasted to a stop on the backstretch. Justin Collett finished fourth with Curt Michael fifth.
FEATURE FINISH: Andy Best, Jonathan Swanson, Eddie Wagner, Justin Collett, Curt Michael, JJ Grasso, Nick Schlauch Jr., Kramer Williamson, Art Liedl, Davey Sammons, Josh Weller, Robbie Stillwaggon, Kenny Meisner, Kyle Purks, Rory Janney, Kevin Darling, Kevin Nouse, Tim Higgins, Scott Pursell, Trevor Lewis, Chris Coyle, Randy West, Jimmy Stitzel, Tim Hogue, Mike Kostic. TAYLOR & MESSICK DELAWARE STATE SPRINT SERIES SET FOR TWO RACE WEEKEND
A big two race weekend is on tap for the Rislone URC Sprint Series as they invade the state of Delaware on May 29 and May 30. The Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series will welcome the stars and cars of URC as they return to the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, May 29. The following night, the URC sprinters will head to the Georgetown Speedway.
Justin Collett won the first stop at Delaware International Speedway on May 17, taking the win in convincing style, which also earned car owner John Pinter his first win as a URC car owner. Red hot Trevor Lewis, driving the Scott McClaren owner sprinter has won two of the three URC events presented this season. Lewis was just downright awesome in the Jack Gunn Memorial on May 15 at
the Selinsgrove Speedway, earning the $3,500 victory by passing Pat Cannon on the last turn of the final lap. Ironically, it was a carbon copy finish between Lewis and Cannon in the same event the prior year.
Lewis, of Upper Black Eddy, PA now finds himself leading the lucrative Rislone URC Sprint Series point chase, a title he has never won. But Lewis will not leave chasing points get in the way of winning races. Lewis will be in action at both Delaware International Speedway and the Georgetown Speedway next weekend. Lewis will be looking forward to the following weekend when the
Rislone 360 Sprint Nationals take to the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, June 4.
Lewis is still looking for his first Rislone Nationals victory with hopes of adding his name to the list of previous winners that include Aaron Ott 2009, Kenny Adams 2008, Ed Aikin 2007 and Pat Cannon 2006. This event could very well be another faceoff between Lewis and Cannon as they chase the $4,000 first place prize. Don't count out defending champion JJ Grasso and multi-time
champion Curt Michael as both drivers are very fond of the "Grove".
URC has a lot of talent deep in the point standings to include Kevin Nouse, Davey Sammons, Justin Collett, Randy West, Kramer Williamson, Kevin Welsh, Art Liedl and Kyle Purks just to name a few.
Visit the URC website at www.urcsprints.com <http://www.urcsprints.com> for a look at the season long URC point chase, photos and store.

Trevor Lewis driving the Scott McClaren owned 360 sprint car at the top of their game, coming off an impressive last corner pass on Saturday night to win the Jack Gunn Memorial at the Selinsgrove Speedway. RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES SHAKES UP SELINSGROVE. . . . .
TREVOR LEWIS DOES IT AGAIN TO PASS PAT CANNON ON THE FINAL LAP TO WIN THE 5TH ANNUAL URC/358 JACK GUNN Memorial CHALLENGE AT SELINSGROVE
It was almost a repeat from 2009. Pat Cannon was leading the thirty lap Jack Gunn Memorial and with two laps to go, URC's Trevor Lewis was reeling in the leader.
Saturday night at the Selinsgrove Speedway, just as he did last year, Lewis took the low groove off of turn four and beat out Cannon by inches at the finish line. For Lewis of Upper Black Eddy, PA the win was worth $3,500 and it was his second win in three Rislone URC Sprint Series starts in 2010. Cannon led the race from lap three and set a blistering pace, lapping up to the eighth
place car. As the caution was displayed on lap twenty-five, Cannon suspected a broken spindle on his sprint car but figured he was good to go for the final five laps. Lewis proved that thought of thinking to be wrong and pulled off the win for the second consecutve year.
A star-studded field of fifty-three sprint cars took part in the event. Time trials opened the show and Pat Cannon not only set fast time, he established a one lap track record for the 360 sprints with a time of 17.393 or 110 mph for the one half mile oval. Of the twenty-six car starting field, eleven URC sprints made the grid.
At the start of the 30 lap Jack Gunn Memorial, Nate Snyder set the pace for the first three laps with Pat Cannon taking the lead on lap four. Also on a run was JJ Grasso who was racing in third. By lap twelve, Grasso was second but Cannon the race leader, was nowhere in sight. Chasing Cannon, Grasso and Snyder was Dave Franek and Trevor Lewis.
As the field crossed the line at halfway, Cannon was still in solid command followed by Grasso, Franek, Snyder and Lewis with Kevin Nouse just outside the top five.
The turning point of the race came on lap twenty-five when Dave Franek brought out a yellow with a flat tire. As the field circled under yellow, second place runner JJ Grasso stopped in turn four. The red flag was displayed to allow cars to refuel for the final run to the checker flag. Grasso was able to restart but did so at the rear of the field.
With five laps to go the event restarted and it was obvious that Cannon was just not as quick as he was earlier in the race. With three laps to go, Trevor Lewis was on a charge and running down Cannon. As the white flag fell, Lewis was just five car lengths behind Cannon and closing. Going into turn three, Lewis took the low groove with Cannon up high and the two set-up for their
run to the checker flag.
Lewis made the perfect run off turn four, inching ahead of Cannon at the finish line. Cannon finished second with Kevin Nouse third, Nate Snyder fourth and Blane Heimbach fifth.
