Earnhardt Jr. for breaking a 76-race winless streak at Michigan. Even
though this is Jr.'s first win of the year, he has been one of NASCAR's
most competitive drivers, totaling 11 top 10's on the year. At the
Coca-Cola 600 he had the dominate car and led 76 laps on the way to a
5th place finish. You know Jr. will bring it again at Charlotte in the

Lowe's Motor Speedway is proud to
announce that the Dragway is right on schedule preparation for the
September 11- 14 NHRA Nationals. By the end of the day on Saturday,
1,000 feet of the track's outside retaining walls and 2,500 feet of
center wall will be complete. Concrete pouring will begin on the track's
quarter-mile racing surface next Monday. Check out the

The Quaker Steak & Lube Summer Shootout is where NASCAR stars such as
Dale Jr., Reed Sorenson and Kyle Busch started their racing careers.
Come out to LMS and find out who will be the next star of NASCAR! The
Summer Shootour Series takes place every Tuesday night until Aug. 12.
The program includes Legends Car, Bandolero and Thunder Car racing, as
well as special attractions such as school bus races, fireworks and the
famous chicken dance competition.
