FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---THANK YOU

THUNDER ON THE HILL CONTINUES 19TH SEASON
Discount tickets on sale now. . . . SUPER DIRTcar SERIES RETURNS TO THE HILL FOR 11TH ANNUAL TRAFFIC JAM WEDNESDAY NIGHT, JULY 16

Always a popular event on the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series, the 11th Annual TRAFFIC JAM for the DIRTcar Modifieds will invade the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, July 16. Gates will open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM. The top big block modified  drivers will try their hand at the one-third mile high banked oval where non-stop action is second to none. The intensity of any race at Grandview is felt not only by the drivers, but the race fans as well, so just plan to be on the edge of your seat for the entire one-hundred laps. Defending winner Brett Hearn is always a favorite in the TRAFFIC JAM, winning the event last year after a hard fought battle for some twenty-five laps with Ryan Godown.

Who will be in the Traffic JAM? Some thirty cars as they look for a piece of the first turn just after the drop of the green. Look for DIRTcar stars Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Alan Johnson, Gary Tomkins, Justin Haers, Steve Paine, Danny Johnson, Jimmy Phelps and Dale Planck as they take on local favorites Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard, Meme DeSantis, Craig VonDohren, Doug Manmiller, Shawn Reimert, Jimmy Horton, Billy Pauch, Frank Cozze, Rick Laubach and Ryan Godown just to name a few.

This event will also be a FAN FUN Night, dedicated to the race fans. General admission tickets for this event are $22. For a $2 saving, you may purchase your tickets in advance for $20 or, on race night, just be wearing a Grandview Speedway, Thunder on the Hill, New Egypt or Bridgeport Speedway t-shirt and receive a $2 discount when purchasing  your ticket at the front gate. This is just a small way to show our appreciation, making this show a true value for any race fan at just $20 for adults. Tickets for children 6-11 are $5 and kids under the age of $6 will be admitted for free. If you are interested in going in the pit area, the pit fee is $25 and a license is not required.

Advance ticket holders will be permitted to enter the grandstand at 4:30 PM, one-half hour prior to general admission tickets going on sale. This will allow general admission ticket holders to have their first selection and choice of seats. But for all others, don't worry, more then 5,000 seats circle the Grandview Speedway and every seat offers an up close view of the always exciting action on the speedway. Advance  tickets are always a good idea as the recent July 1st Thunder Show was a near sellout crowd.

The fans just love the popular Inside/Out Promotion where race fans have an opportunity to watch warm-ups from the infield. Those spectators purchasing advance tickets may also sign-up for this absolutely free activity. Don't be surprised if a guest driver or two joins your group to watch warm-ups.

Several years back, the Thunder Series introduced FanFest and that will be returning for the Wednesday night, July 16 event as well. Prior to the feature event and after the cars are staged on the homestretch, every child accompanied by an adult will be invited to the homestretch to meet and greet the 11th Annual TRAFFIC JAM starting field.

Also, one lucky advance ticket holder will be invited to waive the first green flag of the night, that's right, from the flag stand with the thundering modifieds roaring underneath.

Special give-aways and other Fan Fun stuff will make this event a night to remember.

And don't forget. . . the always exciting Garden State Vintage Stocks Cars will offer a fine display as well as an exhibition display.

For advance tickets, please make your check or money order payable to Grandview Speedway. Please send your payment along with your ticket order to Thunder Series 2008 11747 Winding Creek Drive Berlin, MD 21811. Be sure to enclose a self-addressed and stamped envelop and your  tickets will be returned to you immediately, or, we can hold them for you at the WILL CALL window. Advance tickets will also be on sale at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, July 12.

Don't forget, Grandview Speedway will be in action every Saturday night with a program of NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models getting underway at 7:30 PM. Grandview Speedway is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, ten mile north of Pottstown. Please visit www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com  or www.grandviewspeedway.com  for more information on coming events and weekly attractions.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---THANK YOU

THUNDER ROCKS THE HILL. . . . .
CAPACITY CROWD CHEERS FRED RAHMER & DOUG MANMILLER TO VICTORY IN THUNDER ON THE HILL MID-WEEK HOLIDAY SPECIAL AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presented still another star-studded show as the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Speed Week Series and the 358 Modifieds teamed-up for a block-buster special that kicked off the Independence Holiday celebration. The crowd budged the large Grandview Speedway grandstands to watch the thirty sprint cars and thirty 358 Modifieds battle it out on the "hill" in grand style. Fred Rahmer of Salfordville, PA pocketed a hefty $5,000 for the win in the thirty-five lap sprint feature event as Doug Manmiller collected the cash for winning the 25 lap modified feature It was a great show  from start to finish as the racing was absolutely awesome.

In the COMDIAL Telephone Communications Time Trials Fred Rahmer set fast time, stopping the clocks with a time of 12.024 and collecting an additional $200. Three qualifying events were presented for the 410 Sprints with victories going to Steve Smith, Michael Carber and Greg Hodnett as the "B" victory went to Sam Schlosberg.

Twenty-four cars then took the green flag in the 35 lap Cindy Rowe Auto Glass sprint feature with Brian Leppo gunning to the early lead followed by Doug Esh and Fred Rahmer. Leppo ran to hide from the field in the early going, but on lap six, a wild mix-up with slower traffic found Robbie Stillwaggon flipping just as the leaders were charging into turn one. Second place runner Doug Esh made contact with the flipping car that pulled Nick Schlaugh into the accident. All drivers walked away uninjured with Doug Esh able to continue.

On the restart, Leppo ran to hide but now Fred Rahmer was in the runner-up spot and in the chase. Mark Smith and Lance Dewease locked-up in a battle for third, with Dewease taking the spot on lap eleven. At the front of the pack, Rahmer was closing in on Leppo as the leader approached lapped traffic. On lap sixteen, Rahmer took the lead followed by Leppo, Dewease, Mark Smith and Jeff Shepard.

By lap twenty-three, Lance Dewease was in second and closing on the leader. Jeff Shepard had a tire go flat on lap twenty-six and the yellow flag was displayed for the final time. When green flag racing resumed, Dewease made a serious run at Rahmer. But as the laps ticked by, Rahmer extended his lead. With five laps remaining, Rahmer, Dewease, Leppo, Mark Smith and Cody Darrah were the top five.

Rahmer maintained his lead to take the win with Dewease second, Brian Leppo third, Cody Darrah fourth and Greg Hodnett squeaking into the top five in the closing laps. For Rahmer, this was his ninth career Thunder victory, with his previous win taking place on June 26, 2005. On the career win list, Billy Pauch has eleven wins, Lance Dewease is a ten time winner and Rahmer is ranked third with nine.

The 358 Modifieds competed in three qualifying dashes with victories going to Danny Erb, Stewart Freisen and Kevin Hirthler taking the victories. The thirty car feature field was then called to the speedway for their 25 lap feature event. John Tschudy set the early pace with Doug Manmiller taking the lead on lap seven. Tschudy held on to second with Jason Hamilton third, Kevin Hirthler fourth and Rick Laubach fifth.

All eyes were watching deep in the pack as Duane Howard and the BPG Racing #4 were on a charge. By lap fourteen, Howard was fifth and on lap sixteen, he had advanced to fourth. Manmiller and Hamilton were leading the field and on lap seventeen, Howard moved into third. One lap later, Howard was second and chasing down Manmiller. The yellow flag was displayed on lap nineteen when Matt Sheppard spun in turn two.

With just six laps remaining, Howard was now on the rear bumper of Manmiller as green flag racing resumed. Manmiller had a flawless start and quickly pulled away to a six car length lead. As the laps ticked by, Howard slowly closed in once again on Manmiller, then the yellow was displayed on lap twenty-four when Ryan Beltz spun in turn three.

The race now came down to a two lap shootout with Manmiller on point and Howard on his rear bumper. With the green flag waiving, Manmiller once again excelled on the start to establish the lead position. With the white flag waiving, Howard once again had closed in on the leader, but just ran short of time as Manmiller dashed under the checker flag for this third Thunder on the Hill modified victory. Howard delivered an impressive second place finish with Jason Hamilton third, Kerry Kratz fourth and Rick Laubach fifth.

The MCQMRC (Montgomery County Quarter Midget Racing Club) was also on hand with more then forty cars displayed as a pre- ace activity. The thrill of a lifetime came when these young competitors had a chance to tour the Grandview Speedway. The large but friendly and kind crowd provided a big round of applause for our young future drivers.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- - - - THANK YOU

THUNDER ON THE HILL PRESENTS HOLIDAY SPECIAL OF 410 SPRINTS & 358 MODIFIEDS ON TUESDAY NIGHT, JULY 1ST AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

The Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Pennsylvania Speedweek hits Grandview Speedway on Tuesday July 1 as the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series continues. The top 410 sprint drivers from Pennsylvania will be joined by the 358 NASCAR Modifieds for a fans delight. Central PA is known for having some of the best drivers in both divisions and the opportunity to have them both on the same track on the same night is a rare occurrence. The 410 Sprint & 358 Modified double-header will get underway at 7:30 PM with gates opening at 5:30 PM.  The season is hitting full stride for the winged warriors of Central PA in what has been an unpredictable season. No one driver has shown that  they are dominant this season, making the Speedweek show at Grandview all that more important for the drivers looking to take the Speedweek title.

As always, Fred Rahmer of Salfordville, PA will be the driver that the field has to beat at Grandview. "Fast Freddy" is no stranger to the high-banks as he was a two-time track champion in the modified division and claimed 45 victories during his career. That success has translated well for Fred in the sprint division as he has captured 8 victories in the sprint cars to go along with his three Thunder on the Hill titles.  The last winged sprint show at Grandview found Upperco, MD ace Jeff Shepard in victory lane after a dominating performance. "The Jet" lowered the track record during time trials to earn the COMDIAL Telephone Communications fast time award and went on to claim the victory in the 35-lap A-Main. Always fast in time trial events, Shepard  looks to give Rahmer all that he can handle.

Other expected entrants for the 410 sprints include Greg Hodnett, Lance DeWease, Brian Montieth, Mark Smith, Brian Leppo, and Chad Layton, Alan Cole, Bob Bennett and Davey Sammons. The sprint cars format includes time trials, qualifying events and a 35-lap A-Main that will pay $5,000 to the winner.

Also on tap that evening will be the popular 358 NASCAR modifieds. A field of thirty invited drivers will compete in three ten lap qualifying dashes that will determine the starting line-up for the twenty-five lap feature event. Also a storied division in central PA, the NASCAR modifieds are known for their close side by side action around the 1/3 mile. At Grandview, stock car racing is a "contact" sport. Leading the modifieds at Grandview will be current point leader Jeff Strunk. Strunk, a six-time track champion, also holds 6 victories in Thunder on the Hill action and looks to be the man to beat once again. Knocking on Strunk's rear bumper will be Craig  VonDohren and Duane Howard. Von Dohren is also a six-time track champion at Grandview and is the all-time leading feature winner  at the Bechtelsville oval. With three wins this season, VonDohren is showing that he is a force once again. Duane Howard is also no stranger to victory lane. A three-time track champion, Howard has seen the checkered flag first three times this season and will give VonDohren and Strunk plenty of competition. Special invaders for this event include DIRTcar star Matt Sheppard, Billy Pauch Jr., Rick Laubach, Mark Forte, Ryan Watt and Troy Wink. As always, Grandview Speedway provides entertainment for the whole family.Don't forget to check out the great, reasonably priced concession stands or take your chances to flag down Joe the Pizza Dude as he looks for the rowdiest fan to give a free pizza. Fans are also invited to come out early and be part of the Inside/Out Promotion. Just sign up at the Will Call window and you'll have an opportunity to watch warm-ups from the fourth turn infield. It's a rare and special treat!

Gates will open at 5:30PM with racing action getting under way at 7:30PM. General admission for adults is $20, children 6-11 is $5, and children under 6 will be admitted free. The pit fee is $25 and a NASCAR license is not required. Grandview Speedway is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA (19505), just ten mile north of Pottstown, PA. For more information please call Grandview Speedway at 610-754-7688. Don't forget to visit the Thunder on the Hill website at www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com.  Grandview Speedway operates every Saturday night, presenting a full show of NASCAR Modified and Late Model Stock Car Racing, getting underway at 7:30 PM. 358 NASCAR Modified Qualifiers

The third race of 2008 for the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will take place at the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, July 1 when the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week Series and the 358 Modifieds join forces for this always exciting holiday special event. The 410 sprints are always a thrill when they come to the "hill" and to make this show even better, the 358 modifieds will be part of the mix. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---THANK YOU

USAC Sprints. . . Where a little car-to-car contact never got in the way of a good race!
THREE URC TEAMS PLAN TO COMPETE IN USAC NATIONAL WINGLESS SPRINT TOUR
OPENER AT GRANDVIEW TUESDAY, JUNE 3RD

The much anticipated return of the USAC National Wingless Sprint Tour is drawing much attention with at least thirty teams currently pre-entered for the USAC Eastern Swing Opener on Tuesday night, June 3 at the Grandview Speedway. URC competitors Mark Bitner, Robbie Stillwaggon and Josh Weller have plans to compete when the wings come off at Grandview Tuesday night. All three drivers have URC wins and are very good representatives of the eastern based 360 sprint organization. While these drivers are giving up some horse-power against the 410 power-plants, racing wingless is an equalizer. Mark Bitner of Trenton, NJ has some modified experience and in the past, that has always been a big benefit for drivers going to wingless sprint car racing. Robbie Stillwaggon of Burlington, NJ owns one career URC win and is enjoying a great start to the URC season, currently ranked fifth in the season long point chase. Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA is a one time winner with URC  and that win came at the Grandview Speedway. This is a home town crowd for Weller so he's looking for a great showing as well.

There is no doubt that the winged 410 sprints are always fast and furious at the Grandview Speedway, but for some real wheel banging, slide jobs and an occasional bounce off the wall, the USAC wingless sprints are always a thrill. One year later and the crowd is still buzzing about last years USAC show at Grandview where Levi Jones of Olney, IL was the winner driving the Tony Stewart owned sprint car entry.

Lucas Wolfe of Mechanicsburg, PA was the 2007 Thunder on the Hill Racing Series champion and he'll be running the Grandview USAC show in chase of a repeat Thunder Series title. Fast Freddie Rahmer and Billy Pauch along with Billy Pauch Jr will be looking to  bring home the win as well.

So plan on it now and be at Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 3. Gates will open at 5 PM with race time for 7:30 PM. General admission tickets are $25 for adults, $5 for children 6-11 and children under the age of 6 will be admitted for free. The pit fee is $30 and a Grandview license is not required. This event is the second race of 2008 for the  NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---THANK YOU

Kyle McGowan Named Junior Announcer For USAC Show at Grandview Tuesday, June 3

The Thunder on the Hill Racing Series continues to work at making their racing program more interactive with the race fans and what could be better then to kickoff their Junior Announcers Program of 2008 on Tuesday, June 3rd when the USAC wingless sprint cars come to Grandview Speedway. Fifteen year old Kyle McGowan of Fair Lawn, NJ approached Thunder Series Organizer Bob Miller at a recent off season racing activity and asked about the chance of announcing at one of the popular Thunder Shows of 2008. Miller was quick to agree so Tuesday night, June 3rd, you'll hear this "announcer of the future" call some of the wild racing action expected to take place on the hill in Bechtelsville, PA.

Kyle is a fourth generation flagger, best know for his hours of flag waiving behind the flag stand at Wall Stadium. As far as Kyle can remember, he's been flagging behind the starters stand for at least five years, with hopes of actually one day aspiring to the official starters stand. Flagging is a passion for Kyle, as is announcing, helping on race cars and perhaps one day, actually building race cars.

"I encourage younger kids and kids my age to get involved in auto racing, because one you get involved, you are not going to want to turn back", commented McGowan. At the very young age of fifteen, McGowan is very knowledgeable of the sport, both asphalt and dirt. Racing has been his life and he's building his life around racing. And why not, his father if the flagman for the ATQMRA and Kyle has a brother that part of the NEMA staff. As for the USAC drivers in tonight's field, Kyle's favorite is Levi Jones but his overall favorite driver is Tony Stewart.

Please join me and welcome Kyle McGowan to the microphone of the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 3rd at the Grandview Speedway. Kyle would like to thank the staff of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series for giving him this opportunity to live his dream.

This opportunity is open to one and all. For more information on how you may participate, contact Donna Miller by calling 215-860-5631.

And don't forget, Tuesday, June 3rd the USAC National Wingless Sprint Tour eastern swing will take place at the Grandview Speedway. Gates open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE----THANK YOU

Thunder on the Hill Presents. . . .
The One to See. . . . . .
USAC NATIONAL WINGLESS SPRINT TOUR HEADS EAST, FIRST STOP IS GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY TUESDAY, JUNE 3

The top drivers of the USAC National Wingless Sprint Tour will invade the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 3. This event will be the second race of the 2008 NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series. In 2007, USAC made their first visit to Grandview and the show was an absolute crowd pleaser. Sprint cars at Grandview always provide a thrill but when you take the wings off and add the name USAC to the event, you're in for one great show. Passing is standard, slide jobs are common and the occasional bounce off the wall just further enhances a visit by the USAC wingless sprints. Drivers from at least nine states have pre-entered the Tuesday, June 3 USAC wingless sprint show that will  also find the very popular ARDC Wingless Midgets on the program. Drivers from Missouri, Arizona, California, Indiana, Illinois, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Pennsylvania and New Jersey will make the trip to Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 3rd.

The USAC sprint cars will time trial then complete in a series of qualifying heat race events, all leading up to the thirty lap  feature event. For the ever-popular ARDC Wingless Midgets, heats races and a "B" Main will determine the starting field for their twenty lap feature event. Andy Martin was the ARDC feature winner at Grandview on May 21, taking the victory after a  wild last lap involving Billy Pauch Jr and Steve Buckwalter. Both Pauch and Buckwalter will return to Grandview action on Tuesday, June 3 and once again, both plan to be in a close contest for the win.

Local drivers planning to battle the invading USAC elite are Billy Pauch, the winningest driver in Thunder on the Hill history along with Billy Pauch Jr., who will be doing double duty. Fred Rahmer of Salfordsville, PA will take the wing off his 410 sprint car to chase his first ever USAC victory. Tony Stewart owned entries include Tracy Hines of Newcastle, IN and Levi Jones of Olney, IL. Jones won the Grandview Thunder USAC show in 2007. Kasey Kahne will also field two cars, one driven by Brad  Sweet of Grass Valley, CA and the other driven by Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow, CA. Billy Boat Motorsports (a name very familiar to wingless sprint car racing) will have Chad Boat of Phoenix,  AZ behind the wheel.

The Modern Day Cowboy Daron Clayton of Sikeston, MO has entered the Grandview USAC show. Last year, Clayton put on a show all by himself until a flip down the homestretch ended his night of racing. Cole Whitt of Riverside, CA, Jerry Coons Jr of Tucson, AZ , Josh Spencer of Kokomo, IN, Damian Gardner of Concord, CA are just some of the pre-entries.

On Tuesday night, June 3, gates will open at 5 PM with race time for 7:30 PM. General admission tickets are $25 for adults, $5 for children 6-11 and children under the age of 6 will be admitted for free. The pit fee is $30 and a Grandview license is not required.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---THANK YOU

NEW TRACK RECORD ESTABLISHED. . . .
JEFF SHEPARD POCKETS $5,200 IN THUNDER ON THE HILL SERIES OPENER WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW
ANDY MARTIN WIN ARDC FEATURE AFTER BUCKWALTER & PAUCH JR MAKE
CONTACT ON FINAL LAP

With bad weather in the area, the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series beat the odds and presented their eightieth event in the nineteen season open at the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night. On  the program was the popular 410 sprints competing in the opening event of the 2nd Annual Keystone Cup Sprint Series. The finely prepared speedway delivered some high speed racing with three different drivers breaking the six year standing, one lap track record. Lucas Wolfe was the first to break the record and several cars later, Todd Shaffer delivered the same time as Wolfe. But it was Jeff Shepard driving the ZEMCO sprint car who established the new time of 11.433. The prior track record was 11.533, established in 2002 by Sean Michael who at the time was driving the ZEMCO sprinter. In the 35 lap sprint car feature, Shepard was the class of the field to earn the win and the $5,000 payday. Shepard earned an additional  $200 from COMDIAL Telephone Communication for setting fast time of the night.

A field of twenty-eight 410 sprints took part in the event that started about one hour late due to a late afternoon rain storm. The additional moisture made the track extremely fast with Shepard not on setting fast time, but establishing a new track record. In the three qualifying heat race events, Davey Sammons, Ryan Taylor and Brian Leppo were winners as the B- Main event victory went to Stevie Smith.

In the 35 lap Keystone Cup feature event, Jeff Shepard started on the pole and ran to hide from the rest of the field. Lucas Wolfe and Todd Shaffer were in the chase as Daryn Pittman and Brian Paulus moved in on the front runners. Wolfe and Pittman caught Shepard in lapped traffic and a battle for the lead was shaping up. On lap eight, the red flag was displayed  when Paulus flipped after making contact with the fourth turn wall.

On the restart, Shepard once again had clear sailing to maintain the top spot. By lap seventeen, the race for the lead was very interesting as Shepard, Wolfe and Pittman were racing under a blanket for the top spot. On lap twenty, Pittman moved into second but one lap later, Wolfe regained the runner-up spot. Suddenly, Fred Rahmer was in the chase, running in fourth with Stevie Smith in fifth.

A yellow flag was displayed on lap twenty-two for Lance Dewease who stopped in turn four. On the restart, Shepard again held command with Wolfe and Pittman continuing their battle. The final yellow of the race came out on lap twenty-four when Matthew Reed came to a stop.

When green flag racing resumed, Shepard was again clearly in command followed by Wolfe, Pittman, Rahmer and Smith. In the closing laps, Shepard came up on lapped traffic and now Wolfe, Pittman and Rahmer were within striking distance. With two laps to go, the top four was again racing under a blanket. With Shepard in the lead, Pittman made the move to pass Wolfe but ran short of time to challenge for the win.

Using the lapped traffic to his advantage, Jeff Shepard drove a flawless final two laps to take the win, his second career Thunder on the Hill feature victory. Pittman finished second followed by Lucas Wolfe, Fred Rahmer and Stevie Smith.

The ARDC Wingless Midgets brought a strong field thirty-two cars with heat race victories going to Scott Zipp, Brett Arndt and Steve Buckwalter as the B Main event was won by Bob Goerner. In the feature event, Scott Zipp was the early race leader, but on lap five, Andy Martin was in the hunt for the lead, racing in second and challenging for the lead. By lap eight, Billy Pauch Jr. was in contention and battling with Martin for second.

By the halfway point of the race, Zipp, Martin and Pauch were in an all out fight for the top spot. On lap eleven, Pauch took the lead only to give back the top spot to Martin. Steve Buckwalter was now in the thick of the battle, racing in third on lap twelve. By lap fifteen, Buckwalter was second as he was mixing it up for the lead with Pauch and Martin. With just two laps remaining, Pauch and Buckwalter were racing flatout, swapping the lead lead with each turn. On the final lap, and after some thrilling moves, Buckwalter and Pauch tangled in turn three,  with Pauch taking a wild flip in turn four. Pauch did walk away from the accident as Buckwalter pulled into victory lane.

Steve Buckwalter celebrated in victory lane, only later to be informed that ARDC would take the win and award it to Andy Martin.   Martin took the win followed  Nick Wean, Ryan Smith,  Drew Heistand and Brett Arndt.   Making up the top ten were Brett Arndt, Randy Monroe, Jr., Stephanie Stevens, Zack Martini, A.J. Ernesto.

KEYSTONE CUP SPRINT SERIES 35 LAP FEATURE FINISH: Jeff Shepard, Daryn Pittman, Lucas Wolfe, Fred Rahmer, Stevie Smith, Brian Leppo, Greg Hodnett, Chad Layton, Alan Krimes, Todd Shaffer, Brian Montieth, Jason Sides, Mark Smith, Alan Cole, Michael Carber, Paul McMahon, Ryan Taylor, Sam Schlosberg, Matthew Reed, Lance Dewease, Dave Hahn, Brian Paulus, Craig Keel, Davey Sammons.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---THANK YOU

THUNDER SERIES 2008 SET FOR NINETEENTH SEASON AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

For eighteen years, the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series at the Grandview Speedway has presented a variety of specialty events that have gained local, regional and national exposure. And as a result, the Thunder Series remains one of the longest running special event series that has remained successful at a weekly racing facility. Behind the scenes, the Thunder Series promotional team takes pride in presenting racing events in the not so typical style or approach.

A variety of "fan fun" activities have quickly become routine, like the Inside/Out promotion, where fans have an opportunity to watch warm-ups from the infield. After each race, fans are also invited to homestretch to take part in the always joyous victory lane ceremonies. JOE the PIZZA Dude is a long hit, as he runs through the grandstands giving away pizza. COMDIAL Telephone Communications and President Jim Gallagher always provide fan give away items as well as a frisbee toss. Usually  one event per season (weather permitting), fans are brought down on the homestretch for driver introduction prior to the start of the feature event. Also a popular and expected treat are the fire works that take place on the parade lap of the main feature event of the night.

In 2008, look for guest announcers, a "fan announcer" as well as a "fan flagman". Of course, returning in 2008 will be the FAN FUN Nights, a cross promotion with local speedways and the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series.

In eighteen years, the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series has presented seventy-nine events paying out more than $2.7 million  dollars in prize
money.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---THANK YOU

THUNDER WILL RUMBLE FOR 19TH SEASON AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY IN 2008

In the early summer of 1990, sprint car driver Dave Kelly brought together Grandview Speedway track owner Bruce Rogers and racing publicist Bob Miller to offer  the idea of presenting a 410 sprint car race at the popular one-third mile oval.   On August 7, 1990 the first ever Thunder on the Hill Racing Series show was presented  at Grandview Speedway with the legendary Stevie Smith taking the win.   This event began an eighteen year tradition, presenting seventy-nine events and paying out more than $2.7 million dollars.

Thunder on the Hill began as a stand alone 410 sprint show which was wildly successful.  Through the years, the TOTH Series has grown, changed  and evolved to be so much more.  Expanding from the conventional 410 sprint shows, the Thunder Series quickly introduced variety to include the CRA Wingless Sprints, World of Outlaws, All Stars, SCRA Wingless Sprints, URC, 358 Sprints, USAC Nation Sprint Tour, DIRT Modifieds, Late Models, Rolling Thunder Legends, ARDC Midgets and 358 Modifieds, Late Models, and the Garden State Vintage Stock Cars.

Variety was incorporated to create event themes like the Traffic JAM, as well as the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass PA Sprint Speed Week Series, the Keystone Cup Sprint Series, The DIRT Southeast Modified Series, the Fan's Favorite the Grandview Thunder 5- 5's Features Only event, the Annual House of Thunder Halloween Party and the newly formed, FAN FUN Nights that was designed  o forge  a working relationship between Bridgeport, New Egypt and Grandview Speedway.

The Bruce Rogers/Bob Miller Thunder Series always offers a special flavor, different than the "norm" of a regular racing program.  Thunder on the Hill is special.  It was the Thunder Series that started the change towards the live singing of the National Anthem.  Following the Thunder Series, today, many track look for local singers to perform the National Anthem, something almost unheard of eighteen years ago. Fireworks are also a big part of a Thunder Show.  You'll get a sure "thrill on the hill" with fireworks bursting in air during the feature event parade lap.  Fan Give-a ways are a big part of the Thunder Shows and there is always JOE the PIZZA Dude, pre-race autograph sessions, early grandstand entrance for advance ticket holders and the new in 2007, Inside/Out Promotion where select race fans can watch the warm-ups from inside the fourth turn.    Of course, the always joyous Thunder on the Hill  victory lane ceremonies are a treat worth watching with plenty of champagne always flowing.    For many  events, the fans are invited to victory lane as well.

In 2008, NAPA Auto Parts, COMDIAL Telephone Communications and BPG Racing will back the 19th season of Thunder on the Hill.   The six race Thunder Series will include the following events:
